it might not be bringing in the big viewcounts, but this series is absolutely the best thing you've ever put out! it's incredible to see not only you and the boat but also the almost magical way you find the strangest, most interesting places to visit and the people who help you out along the way. it makes the journey feel unique so far beyond the route and tiny boat!
The foam mining was so unique though, I think that's one of my favourite videos on the internet. Just the absurdity of it... But yes, it's great what little oddities there are around the coastline. And abandoned military installations are always super interesting for some reason. I worked on Portsmouth Dockyard and you'd stumble upon some ancient building called the "Rum Store" that's not been used for 60 years, has a bizarre array of disused equipment like, say, a fax machine, some archaic analogue electrical equipment, and a cannon stacked up in the corner.
TV? Do you still have a pet dinosaur? English was not invented yet, in your time. Please write us some homo erectus language back? Please? Are you really aroused the entire day?
Production value has gone through the roof on these Harry. Everything from the premise, presenting, camera work and sound design is next level. You should be on TV and you should have more followers!! I’m going to go and share on social and I hope others will too!!
Yet another brilliant episode which my wife and I been watching together. The trip you're making is what we Dutchies did in 2016. We did it by two seater convertible car however and held on to just the coastal roads, no highways. After three weeks we ended up in Lands end coming all the way from Dover and realized we made an epic trip. We'd be needing 8 more vacations of three weeks to finish the tour around the UK by coastal road. And as long as health (and border control, darned politics) allow we will pursue. What a great country, what a gentle people generally, what a surprisingly beautiful nature. We fell madly in love with the UK. About the 'Around the UK' series Harry: loads of sincere compliments. This is the kind of content that I'd like to view a lot more. Combining the surprising social interactions with beautiful scenery, an amazing journey, lovely wildlife and remnants of the past that keep me wanting to revisit the UK. All the best from the Netherlands!
My view of the UK has changed drastically, always assumed rainy, dark oceans (I’ve travelled portugal and the Azores islands) The UK shores are absolutely stunning, thank you for great content !
We have a lot of rain and a lot of dark oceans. I still don't think that changes the majesty of our rugged coastline's magnificent desolation. Littered with historical sites from the neolithic onwards and featuring some of the best marine life in Europe (Orcas, Sharks, dolphin pods, massive whales and multitudes of breeding seabird populations). The weather is irrelevant. The coast looks marvelous no matter what.
Doing this in a tiny boat is what makes this beautiful and interesting. If you'd use a yacht you would be distracted from the views around you. Now you're truly immersed in nature and scenery
Also that fort is getting free advertisement which is awesome. If the guy could build a cafe for random boats to stop by and a refuel station it will be easy money right now.
I absolutely enjoy every bit of this series. The combination of your filming, editing, background information paired with your lovely humor and commenting makes it a joy to watch. Thanks from Germany!
Watching this since Ep1 - I do like the calming way of narrating the whole series. So watching this for relaxation and sightseeing basically. Keep the good stuff up. Greetings from Germany
This is the best series on RUclips love love your work. My wife and I are enthralled. We live in New Zealand my Mum is from Faversham Kent and I have never been back to UK. For me this is my first time seeing England and the UK for what it is. Love seeing outside the big centres and the stunning coastline. Big fans your a natural easy to watch and engaging presenter. Look forward to seeing your next video. When you are finished whats next? will be watching with interest. Never mind TV series maintain your creative freedom with RUclips. Set up a Patreon I would become a sponsor every day of the week. Show the BBC and the rest what fun creative content looks like.
I was lucky enough to go on a tour of Drake's Island in the 1970s with my parents. My father was a Plymouth boy and he had actually spent some time on the island whilst in the army in WW2. This has brought back memories for me, very dear ones!
You brought me back to the coastal area I spent the most time in during my childhood. I have walked all the coastal paths of Cornwall thanks 🙏 for bringing joy back into my life
Only found this Channel this morning and binged watched all 5 vlogs, absolutely fantastic viewing... who needs naff TV when there’s quality viewing like this available, can’t wait for the next instalment 🙂👍
@@harrydwyer I am planning on going in a 3.4 m sib with a small outboard and have never been on sea before only rivers any tips from what i can pick up it's tricky with all the shallows and coral any advice please got safety equipment vhf radio will be buying a cheap depth finder whats the safest quickest route over mate
I’ve literally just discovered this channel and I’ve got to say from this video alone it’s one of the best things I’ve seen on RUclips in a long while! Can’t wait to catch up on old videos and looking forward to new ones. We really do live in a stunning country!
Loved the smokers reference Harry, one of my favourite films. Cannot wait for the next episode! The only downside to your videos is i am back on Ebay looking at buying another boat.....
Love the way you combine boating - adventure - mystical places - history. If you come around Cornwall, stop by The Red Buoy in Porthcothan! Lovely gathering of washed up items, special memories from my side, beautiful area!
I went on a tour of Drake's Island on Monday and it was fantastic! Morgan showed us around too and I can tell you that in the years since you filmed this, his passion and confidence has increased tenfold, and his stories about the history were enthralling! He's a wonderful human 🙌 I'm glad you got to see it and I personally definitely plan to return 🫶
I gotta say, this series is rapidly turning into my favorite RUclips content. So good! And what a contrast this sunny episode was to the slightly more grueling early ones (and what is to come), I’m pleased your sis got the nice bit 👍🏻 And I’d wager this will eventually get picked up by the algorithm and you’ll get some petrol money for Goodwin.
I’ve got no interest in boats as such, so why do I find this both interesting and fun to watch.? Keep up posting videos and I’ll promise to stick around.👍🇩🇰🇬🇧
Lovely renault 5 turbo at the start of the vid. This is a great series, the coastal shots of Dorset earlier in the series was excellent. Thanks for a chilled show
Two million quid seems a bargain for that island. Branson missed a trick it seems... I can see that there is a fair bit of research going on pre journey such that you are able to highlight these otherwise little unknown gems on route. Can't decide if I want the island or want the listed fort featured in the last vid. Anyway, keep up the good work and hats off to your sis for being a good sport. When you are done can you send your receipts to BBC so they can see just what an around Britain series should cost in the real world. #licence fee expenditure matters.
Your videos are like candy... Your effort of story telling and video quality are visible, your sister and friends of travel are charming, fun. You came out of no where a year ago in my suggestions, you might be one of the rare channels that make me happy just when I see there's a new video. This video and others made me want to come back to the UK.
Loved the Drakes Island tour. Spent an adventure week there as a teenager, abseiling, canoeing and orienteering through some of those tunnels with out a torch, memorised the instructions before going in...... One of those chambers was our chill out room with sofa's and a jukebox that we'd rigged to avoid having to find five pence to play a record.
Been to Looe for over 40 years and had a boat moored in Looe Estuary for 7 years in the early 2000's, its a real rare event to have a calm sea as the one you have there! You are right about the jet ski's too, been a few scrapes and near misses over the years by Banjo pier and off the shore line...
Another enthralling episode! Seeing all these interesting little coves and harbours with such interesting back stories! the series just gets better and better! Roll on the North East coast between Berwick upon Tweed and the river Tyne at Tynemouth, (where else?)
Brilliant! These episodes can't arrive quickly enough, getting a notification that a new one is up is like being given a present. Thank you for this wonderful series and good luck with Land's End!
Wonderful stuff in this episode and a brilliant idea in the first place. I was born in Paignton, but left over 40 years ago. It's hardly changed! I felt more than a pang or two of nostalgia on seeing some very familiar landmarks. The humour and warmth of Harry and his fellow sailors (RIBers?), along with the great filming, editing and music all add up to something quite joyful. God bless you all!!🙏
Well done, best day yet !! We all missed you. Thank you for taking your sister. Was a perfect day for her to be on the water. Please, as able keep up the GREAT. Ideas, Drone pics add a lot ! Good sound and video. We here give you 10 stars out of possible five stars😋Please thank Morgan for exclusive of HIS island. Your equip. Seems great, except for lense. P Gil. Corpus Christi, Texas. That island is utterly fascinating! I’d love to follow his progress on the restoration of this! It’s amazing! Great video and lovely to see you on the water again!
I always feel so happy watching this series. I could watch hours and hours of it. Absolutely love the drone footage, and it's great when you show people you meet who are following you here.
I'm really enjoying your series! And I am so, so glad to hear of the plans to open Drakes Island to the public eventually. Morgan seems like a passionate guy. My old man served on a submarine based in Devonport, and as a child we'd spend time on boats in the Sound and around the naval docks - so Drakes island was always a massive mystery to me (as with so many others). There's something magical and mysterious but very familiar about the architecture of British Naval forts. I can't wait to look around one day.
These videos are just so amazing! I never knew the UK had such a stunning coastline literally around the whole island. The production quality is also just amazing, it must be so much work! I watched the latest part yesterday where the Honda caught fire, and I'm rewatching some of the older episodes. Best of luck completing this circumnavigation, I'll be watching, however long it may take you Harry!

This series will be soon picked up by a TV channel. Some excellent footage for the UK Tourism Board .

Harry should had he’s own TV series with this, I’ve enjoyed every episode so far 👍🏽
What's TV?
TV? Do you still have a pet dinosaur? English was not invented yet, in your time. Please write us some homo erectus language back? Please? Are you really aroused the entire day?
Me too, it's like a tonic for life stresses, so enjoyable and so very well put together.

I agree, the quality of the video has gone through the roof, especially the editing - very tight !

Love the filming, love the editing. And, secretly, love Liz a little bit.
