It is very likely that RTX 3000 Mobile will be announced at CES 2021 (January). I also hope that information about that is leaked by the end of this year because I'm thinking of buying a laptop with 2070 Super. As you know, we have 3% less tax at the moment and there are discounts in many shops around Christmas and before. 'Bob Of All Trades' and 'OWNorDisown' already addressed the very high wattage in the 3000-series. They mentioned that this high amount of power has to be limited for laptops. By the way: still not many games have been published, that really use RTX (Cyberpunk 2077 is the next interesting one). Even for CP 2077 the specs are surprisingly low and you can play it with a medium power GPU. New GPU's are released every two years but game develpers can't catch up with this pace (developing games takes much more time!!) A 2060 (or in my case 2070S) should be sufficient for a few years. I will be waiting by the end of this year for additional information regarding the mobile 3000-series and if there are no 'surprisingly positive news' about RTX 3000, I will buy RTX 2000. The alternative is, to wait until next summer/maybe late spring (until they are released) and pay the full price.

I notice if I use the laptop for like an hour just normal use no gaming, I run into choppy display, froze mouse/typing for a mili second etc.. From MSI Aftrerburner I think it is because GPU is thermally limited. Apart from that I did not like soft touch keyboard and garbage webcam. Bought this and returned it. didn't like the matte display, but not a deal breaker. The keys are spaced out weird, so i had an astronomical amount of typo errors, that i could never get used to. Other than that, amazing laptop.
I have heard others speak to a key spacing issue. I am actually drawn to this model due to its interesting arrow key layout (like a desktop keyboard). Sounds like they've had to make some sacrifices in order to achieve that. It sounds like it might be too weird to get used to, and not worth it.
@@Bonesince1997 no, I would've gotten used to it eventually, but the spacing was so different, I didn't want to deal with it, as it would throw my typing off on my other pc's and laptops.

Even for CP 2077 the specs are surprisingly low and you can play it with a medium power GPU. New GPU's are released every two years but game develpers can't catch up with this pace (developing games takes much more time!!)
A 2060 (or in my case 2070S) should be sufficient for a few years. I will be waiting by the end of this year for additional information regarding the mobile 3000-series and if there are no 'surprisingly positive news' about RTX 3000, I will buy RTX 2000.
The alternative is, to wait until next summer/maybe late spring (until they are released) and pay the full price.
compare to lenovo legion 5i or y540 which one is better
How can this outperform the g14 with ryZen 9 in that cinebench? I did some checks on the chips and according to this test, the Ryzen 9 outperforms the ryZen 7
nanoreview.net/en/cpu-compare/amd-ryzen-9-4900h-vs-amd-ryzen-7-4800h
you know that the this machine comes with a rtx 2060 and ryzen 7 4800h
bro im confused to buy helios 300 i7 9gen 144hz rtx 2060 or go with omen 15 ryzen 7 4800h 1660ti or wait for legion 5 ryzen 7 4800h 1660ti .🤔
@@badnan732 bro go with Intel if you only look for gaming but go with AMD if want stream or game and do multi tasking and if the hp omen 15 with the ryzen 7 4800h rtx 2060 is available in your country buy that model 100 % if I was I would go with AMD
@@badnan732 if the hp omen 15 with ryzen 7 4800h and the rtx 2060 is available in your country go for it or take helios 300 but personally I will go for the omen with gtx 1660 ti
Wow thats crazy, my gaming pc just went down on me sooo the rest of quarantine ima be bored asf lmao
What's the gpu tgp?
I had this laptop and ended up returning it. The main reason was fps drop constantly to 20. Right now I am using Legion 5 which of similar price, so far good. It has better screen (100% sRGB).
May be you got defective unit because i didnt hear anyone experiencing the same
You definitely received a defective one. The legion 5 is a good one too.
How its comparing to legion5 ryzen lenovo?
Little did he know, they offer a 3070 option at $1600
lovely 🔥🔥
mhm the Omen 15t with 144HZ/512GB SSD/2060/16GB RAM/i7-10750H/4-Zone RGB Keyboard would cost me 40$ more than the 15z in my Country... what would u buy? :D. pls help me out :P
I would get the AMD version for superior CPU performance and efficiency.
Why is everyone reviewing the amd version?? please review the intel version.
I have the intel version its great! RTX 2060 runs really really cool as well! You can't go wrong
@@curtismiller1854 i also have the intel version, i just wish the intel version gets just as much publicity as well.
The Intel version is likely essentially identical so not sure what sort of a difference you'd be looking for. Just slightly higher fps in games and significantly worse performance in video editing, cinebench and handbrake
@@Fisustin and worse battery life & even maybe thermals
@@amirbahalegharn365 is intel thermal worse than amd?
Out of stock in the US at the moment lol...😩😩
It's available on Bestbuy $1046
There is a deal from bestbuy on eBay, it's 949!!!
Hey anyone knows what type of c hub can i use on this laptop?
That supports dual monitors?
Can't wait for the rtx 3060 omen laptop to arrive!
@@Crushkai I got the omen 15z from best buy and it was the ryzen 7 5800H with the rtx 3060 and man its amazing overall. You can play literally any game at pretty high settings and still achieve good frame rates. The fans can get a little loud sometimes but at least it can keep the system pretty darn cool. Build quality is pretty nice though the track pad seems to have this weird rattle when clicking which is weird but its not bothersome to me. Overall I would recommend this laptop to anyone who really wants an rtx 3060 laptop with an amd chip. Let me know if there's anything else you want to know about this laptop.
I think legion 5 with same exact specs takes the prize. Only 999 dollars also.
i used this laptop and it performed very good, then i woke up
?
I got mine for $849 with 8gb added 60 buck 16gb memory upgrade.
But why buy this tho if there is the legion 5 which is better at nearly everything
omen 15z or zephyrus g15
The sole reason they put up bloatware is to reduce price i think.
HP does student discount, this and the 2060 version have money off
HP:
you can't have both : cheaper price & bloatware-free laptop.
for laptops,, I don't have problem with bloatware as I can uninstall all of them, unlike phones; but by doing that companies can save some money to release a cheaper laptop. users can click reset windows in settings if they want or just like me,installing the windows version/release they want from any source
So sad for the plastic panel
compare with legion 5 r7 gtx1660ti
Plays star citizen comfortably on high settings
$1200 for a 1660 ti is expensive at this point... Most of them was just on sale recently for under $1000. i saw 1 for $800.
@F G That doesn't make any logical sense... Are you a millennial?
Can anyone pleaseeeeee tell me if its available in INDIA
Mine has WiFi issues 😑
laptop of the year is the Zephyrus g14
Skip this gen..im gonna get the rtx3000 mobile with atleast ryzen 4600H,the 3060 should be on par with 2080super maxQ
When do you think 3000 series laptop will launch approximately?
Its not like that in laptops.
.Rtx 3060 will be on par with rtx 2070 super
On laptops that is .
Unfortunately laptops do not have the thermal headroom of desktops. So we will have to see what really happens. The new RTX cards have a very high TDP.
The new RTX cards won't show up in laptops until summer next year I feel.
nice 👍🏿
Is it available with rtx 2060 or higher gpu?
Yes, but only on the intel models. It's goes to etc 2060 max q
Mine’s is coming on October 7 but idk if I should return it cause one of my friends is a IT guy and he said after 6 months it might break since the over heating problems are really bad so I’m thinking of canceling my order if it’s gonna be bad in the long run I just want it to run for like 5 years and I’m satisfied cause it was a bit investment for me so someone plz give me a good response :)
BS this has some of the best thermals we have ever seen on such a powerful laptop
Check out the matrix RP 17 or RP15
Good thermal solution!
Im grabbing the RP17 just cause it has the webcam on top

Wow that's toasty higher temps than my Intel i7 10750h weird I thought it used less power . I did however repaste my laptop with noctua paste Wich surprised me compared to arctic silver and eve IC diamond or cooler master gel maker pro .....
