This feels more like a pilot episode than anything. Like there's all sorts of lore waiting in the wings. Hope this evolves into an indie cartoon series like Helluva Boss. Has a lot of promise and the vaporwave shift in the final act really caught me off guard.
Seems a pilot to me, too. Lots of questions whose answers I'd love to have.

WAAH THIS IS SO GOOD!!! The 3D work and fx especially were exceptional. I was really looking forward to this film after working on Pipi and you guys completely blew it out of the water!! The style and BITE this film has!! My favorites were definitely the bosses and their crazy ships. I'll definitely be watching out for everyone putting out their individual work after this.
this was a visual feast for the senses, and is the best student film i've seen by FAR.
the complex integration of scratchy but amazingly fluid 2d characters, 3d set pieces, and eye popping visual effects that make everything seem that much more graphic are integrated EXCELLENTLY. There's a TON of love poured into every facet of this-- would love to see more in the future!

I'm in love with this animation, every second caught me. I hope a lots of people come to see this masterpiece, it really deserves it.
we've been blessed this year with so many really good animated short projects, but this one I've been looking forward to since I first saw the rough cuts on Twitter.
It just oozes style that I can get behind, the high octane sequences, the cute but but dynamic character styling, the color choices, the seamless 2D and 3D blending, the high energy and kooky cartoony sound design, even the one beat comedy moments. Literally not a thing in this I can think of is out of place.
This is indie animation at its refined and perfect state! 20 out of 10!
i rewatched this 3 times and i still cant find a single flaw in this,this is awesome,the best 2D animation i have seen in youtube for a LONG time,the character designs are perfect i love EVERY single aspect of this

Good gravy this is INCREDIBLE!!! The style is so cohesive and well-realized - I've never seen anyone have this much fun with anime camerawork. This desert-punk-rock world is so sweet, and the designs so good... though none can compare with Blister. He is perfection.

This is sooooo good, i can't getr enough of it, i just love everything from the stylish artstyle, the expressions, animation and especially the creativity of it all, especially the allied gangs, hope to see this become a series so we see more of the characters, and hopefully the return of the gangs, i just feel there's something about them that feels like we should be seeing more of those guys.

by far, the coolest and best combination of 3d rendering of inanimates under 2d characters i have seen. it is impossible to think that this is a student film. (granted i havent seen many student films, but this is still absolutely insane). ive shared it with as many people as i can and im sure theyll enjoy this too. The fact that this doesn’t have at least 500k views is insane. The animation here is better than most shows. If I had to give a critique, many of the shots move too slow. I had to turn the speed to 1.5x for the pacing to make sense.

7:05 I like how their distinct gangs have members close to their own species: Mondo's Pirates are monkeys, Rally's Predators are reptiles/amphibians and Blister's Punks are mammals, mostly canine and feline.😉

The use of 3d and 2d animation is emaculat and simply creative .
The variety of styles and eye catchy neon styles feels captivating . We constantly the artwork change to more pop neon like and there is a lot of use of comic styles .
Even if the animation is 7 minutes short it has so much style, story , world and specialy life .
