I want D1 atmosphere with D2 controls. Been playing D1 again from start and man the atmosphere of it just really hits. I love D2 but idk just something about the winter rocks

While I know it makes most sense for Div3 to be in the USA, I've been wanting a good, open world game set in the UK. I was hoping GTA would go back to London. Their GTA games already have an island as their map, why not just to England and Scotland?
@chrisrysso4026 me personally I'd still consider getting the division if it was in the UK, but one of the reasons why I didn't buy wd3 was because of that.
I get hung up about an international game. I'd play it. But, directive 51 is a U.S. thing in the lore. They could do an explanation. At the end of the day it's not that big of a deal.
I specifically want More armour pieces So helmet, shoulder and elbow Why? Because that would mean more skins more cool looks and more builds and don’t forget about my exotics and named items
@@JimBobm I think regardless how well Assassins creed shadows does Ubisoft is done. It looks like the owners are deleying shadows again and using it as a sales leverage to tencent games however very very risky. If it sells well they will get a better deal with tencent, if it sells poorly they will get an even worse deal. Either way Ubisoft is being sold and I would assume tencent wouldn't release another game under the Ubisoft name
Here's hoping for a Div 1 Survival type of tutorial intro for Div 3, or at least a similar situation. That mode was really awesome. But somehow, snow has been one of the main characteristics of the Division franchise so I'm hoping they will go back to it once more, but with a fleshed out game mechanics like Div 2 has.
This is a great summary. And the conclusion is exactly how I am feeling. I wish it would come out tomorrow, but I want a good game more. That being said, I REALLY hope they use a better version of snowdrop, or revamp it. Specifically the stupid stash cap (but also lighting issues and some other minor things) are incredibly annoying and I'd hate to see it in the third entry. Something I've been thinking (I haven't watch the 10 biggest hopes yet so maybe you discuss) is it would be cool to see a "final" base game, such that Massive could incorporate new games as essentially DLC. Have entire new stories, but let us carry characters and weapons between. I'm sure this would cause numerous headaches for balance etc, but it would feel great to go back to the original NYC streets with D2 tech, not as a DLC, but let you hop between them all. As a software person it sounds like a fun technical challenge, but as a gamer, it would eliminate the not wanting to "waste" time grinding an old game. At any rate, I've been itching for a new looter shooter in the genre and can't wait for D3!
The player animations from the first game were so good I thought couldn't do any better. I hope that 3 feels as good of an improvement as its predecessor
Let's be honest here. They're better off pouring resources into reviving Div2 and making seasonal content, DLC, improving upon existing mechanics, new SHD skills, game modes and map zones opening on the map. The way Ubi is performing I can definitely see Div3 ending up like Homeland. My prediction is that there'll be conflict within the studio and poor executive decisions to where the employees will pay the price as usual.
I dont think any major development can happen before the release of the next-gen Sony and Microsoft consoles. Until they have access to the specs and abilities of those, they won't know what they can do with them. A lot of the issues with Div2 now are from the game being made for older consoles.
We are not getting a new Sony console for like 3 or 4 years So I hope that's not true As it stands rn they can use unreal 5 and that's the newest engine so hope that is what it is But we shall see
@MattKaneVA Unfortunately, given the timing of things, there's no way that TD3 won't be on the Series X/S and PS5 alongside whatever the newest console generation may be. So that wouldn't be holding them up- as they'll design the game's minimum performance/specs for the current consoles, and just scale features up for the new ones

I just hope the division 3 is good because as long as it's good I will be playing it I still play division 1 and 2 mostly two because it's easier to play with my friends and has lots of different ways to play the game.
I recently started playing TD1, never did before 2. Loving it, but sadly it gets boring fast when playing alone. Also, I've noticed that TD1 is a lot more vibrant, the ambience is better and a lot of game mechanics work a lot better. Hopefully they'll take what is good from TD1, TD2 and perhaps some stuff from Heartland and make an amazing TD3. Bring back non-zoom sniper scopes YEEHAAA! I am excited but scared after seeing story in star wars outlaws and avatar frontier of pandora weren't too good but gameplay was good in its own way ish but I just hope division 3 has time and hope division from netflix is doing good or getting better as seen alot of video game adaptation fall or fail so bad (halo tv show is one of them) .. please don't let this be another they have a good thing going (liked the fallout show what I hoped to expect)
I want the skills to behave as they did in D1. The skills in D2 are such that some of the variants are just about useless because of how inaccurate and clunky they are. Clusters, bombardier drone and the accuracy of the assault turret are some of the largest that need refining.

They need to bring back a lot of division one elements in terms of free your place style and being able to have all gear and weapon weapons exotic eligible. Being held to two exotics made it boring and less ways to create builds. Gear set like Firecrest Tatian need to come back, especially the one that allows you to use SMG with the big shield
Pretty much agree with everything, but I think it might be out by 2027. Now I know that's a year sooner so most will think thats rushing it. Except the first game they had to present the concept and get it approved, then start working it. Div 2 they had the model and environment framework and a story and characters to build off. Now Div 3 from my understanding would already need to have a location and base story already so that they could present it with storyboards and location photos to get Div 3 approved. Meaning a chunk of the base grunt work could have already been done. Location scouting and mapping doesn't need much more then a google maps car like mapping tool. The division storyline is an ongoing evolving thing and is constantly being worked on before they announced Div 3 they have the main story of shd and rogue agents vs black tusk and true sons. And its being fleshed out already as shown in the comms and current manhunts. They most likely are already mostly done the storyline for the campaign. The npcs all have base models to reskin as well as the spare models and AI from the heartland npcs. Plus they could also use the Freeman faction from Resurgence to add crossover flavour. My guess which is completely a guess, is March 2027 to keep it in line with the previous games release month.
I keep reading how Ubisoft is in financial trouble and makes me concerned a little of the future of their franchises if Ubi gets into divesting IPs in 2025.
All we can do is wait and see how things play out, IMO there's no reason to get worked up over potential events that have yet to occur (and likely still won't for some time) 👍

I have no doubt that the Division 3 will be at least as good as the Division 2. The devs were new to the looter-shooter genre at the beginning of The Division 2 and made allot of good changes. I think the Division 3 will be way better streamlined than the Division 2 at the beginning. The Division 3 needs something new and exciting though, otherwise people will get bored soon.
Have you tried going to your platform store and seeing if you can install a different version of the game? Maybe you were somehow stuck on the trial version

Don’t worry about the corporate world of gaming, and its press releases, it’s all “real estate”… nothing to do with us players… they speculate for pricing, then sell, someone else buys. We keep playing for someone else. If they really want to make money, offer free outfits/skins sponsored by companies as advertising… I’ll wear a Pepsi outfit if it looks good and it’s free.

Personally, I'm worried about the atmosphere of Part 3... What will it be like? here, so as not to get an "opinion trap", if they make a winter, people will say "well, it's already happened", summer does not convey the atmosphere of crisis... and if they do late autumn/early spring, people will say, "Well, winter was better.".. most likely it will turn out that way...
My $$ is on The Division 3 being released on the next generation of consoles (PS6). I'd be surprised if we see it on this current gen. Just my opinion though.
As long as they actually do something with cheaters in Dark Zone ill gove it a go. It's like i can even play a portion of the game because it's filled with cheaters and people glitching modifiers in the DZ
Great content, as always. As far as the Div3 is concerned, one can be hopeful, but I am not holding my breath. Ubisoft has failed miserably the last few years, stock value is in the trash, with rumors of it being for sale. Add in that Gerighty was responsible for Star Wars Outlaws, well, not a good sign there, either. If it Div3 does make it, though, NEVER EVER require stupid modifiers for any related content.
A super hot sandy city vibe also couldn’t go wrong i think a burning hot sun in your face all the time, doing mission to open water sources, underground missions with a whole different and dark vibe to it
I know so many ppl want snow, and so do I, but not 24/7. The snow crunching sound in Div1 annoyed the hell out of me. I hope that Div 3 has a dynamic 4 season weather system AND that the player has the option to choose a system to leave on, so if the player does want snow all the time they can enable winter and leave it on that if they choose. Might be wishful thinking, but at the minimum I'd still like the snow incorporated into a dynamic weather system. I also really hope that Div3 has better character customization. Most of the default characters in div 2 just look absolutely ridiculous, so better defaults and better customization.
I don't think there is any guarantee there will be a Division 3. They almost finished the other Division game, people were hyped about it and then they canceled it.
I would love to come back to TD series, I WILL play TD3 verse GTA 3 hands down. Ppl say "unfortunately cancelled" but it wasn't cancelled for nonreason. It was cancelled because it's reception was so poor they decided stopping development would lose less money than continuing development and releasing it to a mediocre release. Unisoft has sh*t the bed so much that I'd be surprised if they manage to get Div3 done before going under. Div3 is potentially the only UBI game I'd be up for buying but wveb admiting that I'd need a lot of info to know they have f*cked it up like so many other titles.
I have zero hope for this game to be good. If it launches, which is not a sure thing, it will launch too early and be plagued with bugs and other issues. It will not have an acceptable endgame at launch, and it will see multiple reworks over the first couple years as they try to salvage what they can from the disaster, before finally being put on life support just like 1 and 2. Ubisoft are the kings of repeating their mistakes over and over, and who can blame them because it keeps working and their games keep being profitable lol.
Before it's too late... someone contact the developers... let them cram an "exoskeleton" into the skills, which can be divided into functions: 1"heavy armor-tank" 2 "increased ammunition for special munitions" 3 "come up with it yourself, otherwise I'll overdo it with fantasies)"
Division 3? Seriously? ALL of Ubisoft's games in 2024 were complete flops. AC Shadows just got delayed, again. XDefiant is shutting down this year...oh but hey the Division 3 is coming. Well that's sad. It sounded like the foundation work had been started in 2023 and Gerighty would be stepping in to take over and flesh it out. So over a year later and they're just getting started. I have no doubt that the Division 3 will be at least as good as the Division 2. The devs were new to the looter-shooter genre at the beginning of The Division 2 and made allot of good changes. I think the Division 3 will be way better streamlined than the Division 2 at the beginning. The Division 3 needs something new and exciting though, otherwise people will get bored soon.

Have you tried going to your platform store and seeing if you can install a different version of the game? Maybe you were somehow stuck on the trial version

Personally, I'm worried about the atmosphere of Part 3... What will it be like? here, so as not to get an "opinion trap", if they make a winter, people will say "well, it's already happened", summer does not convey the atmosphere of crisis... and if they do late autumn/early spring, people will say, "Well, winter was better.".. most likely it will turn out that way...

My $$ is on The Division 3 being released on the next generation of consoles (PS6). I'd be surprised if we see it on this current gen. Just my opinion though.

As long as they actually do something with cheaters in Dark Zone ill gove it a go. It's like i can even play a portion of the game because it's filled with cheaters and people glitching modifiers in the DZ
Great content, as always. As far as the Div3 is concerned, one can be hopeful, but I am not holding my breath. Ubisoft has failed miserably the last few years, stock value is in the trash, with rumors of it being for sale. Add in that Gerighty was responsible for Star Wars Outlaws, well, not a good sign there, either. If it Div3 does make it, though, NEVER EVER require stupid modifiers for any related content.
A super hot sandy city vibe also couldn’t go wrong i think a burning hot sun in your face all the time, doing mission to open water sources, underground missions with a whole different and dark vibe to it

I know so many ppl want snow, and so do I, but not 24/7. The snow crunching sound in Div1 annoyed the hell out of me. I hope that Div 3 has a dynamic 4 season weather system AND that the player has the option to choose a system to leave on, so if the player does want snow all the time they can enable winter and leave it on that if they choose. Might be wishful thinking, but at the minimum I'd still like the snow incorporated into a dynamic weather system. I also really hope that Div3 has better character customization. Most of the default characters in div 2 just look absolutely ridiculous, so better defaults and better customization.
It’s really simple, just make the game in Autumn. You can have certain times where theres snow, and rain.

I don't think there is any guarantee there will be a Division 3. They almost finished the other Division game, people were hyped about it and then they canceled it.
I would love to come back to TD series, I WILL play TD3 verse GTA 3 hands down. I just dont know why they would neglect such a masterpiece 😮💨 i get it from a business point of view but in a time where F2P games are ruling the market, I just hate the fact that this marvelous franchise has not gotten its glory among the mediocre F2P we have today. Please!! UBISOFT knock TD3 out the park......no pressure good vid.

Ppl say "unfortunately cancelled" but it wasn't cancelled for nonreason.
It was cancelled because it's reception was so poor they decided stopping development would lose less money than continuing development and releasing it to a mediocre release.
Unisoft has sh*t the bed so much that I'd be surprised if they manage to get Div3 done before going under.
Div3 is potentially the only UBI game I'd be up for buying but wveb admiting that I'd need a lot of info to know they have f*cked it up like so many other titles.

I have zero hope for this game to be good. If it launches, which is not a sure thing, it will launch too early and be plagued with bugs and other issues. It will not have an acceptable endgame at launch, and it will see multiple reworks over the first couple years as they try to salvage what they can from the disaster, before finally being put on life support just like 1 and 2. Ubisoft are the kings of repeating their mistakes over and over, and who can blame them because it keeps working and their games keep being profitable lol.
Before it's too late... someone contact the developers... let them cram an "exoskeleton" into the skills, which can be divided into functions: 1"heavy armor-tank" 2 "increased ammunition for special munitions" 3 "come up with it yourself, otherwise I'll overdo it with fantasies)"
I hope they just take Div1 and expand on it. If they bring anything from Div 2 , the game will suck

Division 3? Seriously? ALL of Ubisoft's games in 2024 were complete flops. AC Shadows just got delayed, again. XDefiant is shutting down this year...oh but hey the Division 3 is coming. You can stick your hands in your ears and say La La La all you want but Ubisoft is more likely to go banktupt than release a new IP this year.

Well that's sad. It sounded like the foundation work had been started in 2023 and Gerighty would be stepping in to take over and flesh it out. So over a year later and they're just getting started. Div 3 won't be for veteran players. With Seasons and other bad decisions , It will be like a Hollywood book adaptation and barely resemble the original.
Ubisoft is a dead corp walking. My bet is Tencent buying its corpse for the IP before D3 is released.
