Have just got back into Div2 after a few years away from the franchise now that destiny 2 is in abit of a slump and have been watching your videos to get back up to speed has been very helpful in catching back up, just got up to level 40 and getting back into the endgame so much stuff to do and your guides have definitely pointed me in the right direction.
Recently discovered your content, immediately devoured your Dark Zone playlist, thus causing you to make me reinstall D2 after almost 2 years! I adored this game, I just moved on after several hundred hours because #adhd. ANYWAY, I certainly feel behind the times with all my builds now! I loved this video as it helped me reconnect with what is currently worthwhile in the game. Regrettably I don't seem to have received my Lexington (I'll try log a ticket), so naturally I am keen to find this "St Elmo's Engine" exotic AR! My old AR build was a very stock standard AR crit build but horribly optimised as I had minimal armour and relied on Perseverance on secondary to heal me. I was in the process of attempting to pull together a "Pulse-Status Effect-DMG" build, which made me realise how little god-roll gear I actually have! Look I'm not the best grinder, and even my old builds are not 100% min-maxed to perfection, but I'd love some insight/guidance into farming to pull together that Striker build! Keep up the great work brother!
👊 Welcome back my friend! Really glad the video helped out. As for farming, I highly recommend you check out this video. There's a few solid options (as I go over), but specifically #1 is what I suggest most 👉 ruclips.net/video/WE6tDtGN-TI/видео.htmlsi=lS3Bj6Ho9-dP0tY4
Still absolutely in love with my hybrid build with 6 skill tiers and 4 weapon cores. Really gives me the freedom to handle content in any way I want, whether that be through skills or through weapon damage, or both. After I tossed it together a year ago, it's been my main build that I use.
I've got a striker build with a shield I can't swap out and it runs a shield with regular gun (ar or smg, I forget). No idea how though, took a year or so away and can't remember! 😂
For my Striker/Lexington build, I went 3x Striker, Ninjabike, 1x Providence, and 1x Fenris (one on the chest with Obliterate). Should get your crit chance up to 57% with enough mods on the rifle and the right rolls on equipment, then stack crit damage. Ninjabike gives you a little more survivability with the additional armor, especially if you're using a shield with the +1 to skill.
I tried the Hotshot/Determined build with two Hapsburg pieces and it didn't make enough of a difference to justify a crazy grind for the perfect rolls. I settled on Memento and Chainkiller with White Death and it still does well over 22 million per shot.
Generally speaking, I keep 5 different types of builds on my characters: One solo DPS, one group dps, one tank, one skills and one PvP. What each build consists of varies depending on the activity I'm doing.
I've been gone for a few years. I've been playing the division 2 lately, and I must say I am having a lot of fun. The only thing I do not like is that the projects are not that great.
Thanks for this video sir! I'll try to conform and follow these awesome builds surely they will really help me on my solo/party runs and missions 👑 More cool contents to come sir!!
I would add my lazy undying tank build with permament shield for random coop legendary missions, with it I complete weekly assignments on the first try. Technician + Catharsis + 4 parts of Foundry Bulwark + Motherly Love. Artificiar hive + any shield. Scorpio + Liberty or TDI Kard with Reformation. On legendary difficulty, I can easily raise fallen teammates by tanking damage from a couple of tanks. Yes, zero damage, but to kill me, they need a couple of tanks, several grenade launchers and drone operators.
And if you really wanted to, use legmo instead with ER and you are pretty invulnerable. No damage, but boy is the buff to Foundry plus reformation on a TDI with artificer hive *really* tanky. Catharsis is a bit over the top, prefer another shield health piece or even shocker punch for giggles. NBB works fine too, the Foundry pack is really overkill.
If you go 6 red striker, there is a better combination with more damage. Ceska chest with Glass Cannon or Obliterate, Groupo backpack with Unstoppable Force, rest Striker. Lexington with Killer and Dark Winter with perfect Killer.
All depends on what content someone is running. Striker Chest is max damage, but only outperforms Obliterate chest when Striker can AVG 140+ (or something around that) stacks in combat at all times, which is usually not feasible outside of Raids and Incursion.
@@wondays654In game Ceseka/Groupo combination is stronger. I have top 100 solo legendary times with it on xbox. Building stacks with striker chest/backpack does take too long in game. Not sure about the math, but it works better. Especially since we have Lexington now w. Killer talent.
@@mrteefoursix3440 you might be correct, I don't know what would be going into testing "in game", but running numbers with a spreadsheet, the way that rogue showed in the video would be best when running on a training dummy.
I kinda hate that only build I can play the way I like it the ninja backpack, picarro's, brazzo's (or what ever the picarro's manufacturer was) chest with unbreakable and three pieces of Striker's. I love the +50% mag, can run with big horn and get things done. It's stupid build, but I don't over extend myself quite that badly with it.
it’s a great build. I run the exact same build except with obliterate talent on chest piece and the chameleon for its extra 90% weapon damage. I used to run unbreakable on it too but ever since i found out how much damage output i can get with obliterate and striker while maintaining the 50% added magazine size i never looked back. I would recommend giving it a try. i run a blue core on the chest piece so i get 3 blue and 3 yellow cores because of ninjabike, brazos, and i run technician with it. that gives you full shield cores which heightens survivability enough for me to not run unbreakable. (I also run either a defender drone or a revive hive for added survivability)
Definitely the minimum amount on your right stick, left you can left it default, if you suffer from drift in the right stick, well, keep pushing dz up until it's gone
Questions...like the first striker built all red cores. How do u manage survivorbility. Final one your SHD 7000+ will these builds work as good at SHD 2800 which i am and exp level 9.
For survivability, it mostly comes down to how you play. I tend to be a bit more aggressive in my playstyle, but I have to use cover and line of sights effectively to get hit as little as possible. As for your SHD level, after 1,000 there are no more relevant stat increases- so you're all good there!
@RogueGold when i play CPs and PVE i always shoot from cover mainly as my style instead of run and gun. If i stay out of cover to long i get wrecked. Ive started to play with a revivior hive or hive which repairs armour. That helps sometimes.
Can't believe Negotiator Dilemma didn't make it. I guess it suits my play style. Have you made a Darkzone/PVP Negotiators build BEFORE? IT Slaps when you combine it with Ranger on an AR, add 2 range Mods. 60+m on the Lexington. Could it work? I suck too much at PVP to go and try 1 V 3 in the Darkzone.

Got two back to back yesterday running priority objectives. I would go there first as sometime you can get one by just doing a simple activity that takes like a minute to do. I rarely get exotics to drop in countdown. I am not sure why folks think that is good farming method for exotics.
Next year I would like to see the top 5 builds categorized by the purpose of the build, not just the gear set. When I am working with new players to farm gear I present it this way: DPS (Striker) Team DPS support (Ongoing Directive) Survivability (Umbra or Heartbreaker) Skill damage (Empress Int'l) Sniper (Hotshot) Repair/Team Suport (Future Initiative). This makes it easier for new players to understand why certain recommendations are being made.
I use a skill build with explosive damage and status. I run vile mask, 3 piece china light, 2 piece grupo (these are harder to farm as you will need them to roll with skill damage and status effects so you reroll to skill tier), glass cannon, creeping death, jammer pulse and either explosive sticky or seekers. skill damage and status effects everywhere. Main weapon is the capacitor. Demolitionist specialization to use the grenade launcher. This build will clear rooms fast during the event. Still works great during normal play as the pulse will melt enemies.
I'm not sure what the default PC keybind is, but in settings you should be able to find a full list of every keybind, and remap them if you so choose 👍
Killer is a great talent in PVE, but in DZ it may not work when you need it, because it only activates if you get a crit kill, which at best is a 60% chance, hence you'll have difficulty killing your 1st or maybe 2nd or maybe even 3rd real-life player with it. The Lexington is Meta right now, the Strega also has fantastic stats. The St-Elmos' dps potential is well below these two, but its larger magazine gives you extra bullets and if its ''shock'' triggers, it might slow-down your prey long enough to finish it, but you'd have to pour expertise in it to make it hit harder.
@MattKaneVA Depends on if you're wanting to PVE, or PVP in the DZ, I think. If PVE- it'll work great. For PVP however, on-kill talents aren't always the best or most reliable, since in 1v1 scenarios you aren't getting a kill until the engagement is over.
TBH...they are both decent but they offer different damage types. Strained offers CHD where Optimist offers straight weapon damager. A lot of folks default to optimist because youtubers have been putting it on every build for years. However, a lot of agents do not use Optimist correctly. You need to fire the entire magazine in order for you to get the most benefits out of it. If you are constantly reloading you are constantly resetting Optimist. Personally i have been switching over to Killer. I think that is the way to go right now.
I personally prefer Optimist, since in theory it's just as effective regardless of your weapon's RPM. Strained technically gets more worth out of slower firing weapons
Summit, on Hard or Challenging with 2-3 directives active and targeted AR loot. I got two consecutively from (I think) one normal enemy and a purple enemy.
This one is a favorite of mine- the video shows it with Modifiers, but it works great without them as well! 👉 ruclips.net/video/HctvdL7ci6s/видео.htmlsi=pf9byrGnIqQgzk4p
If the Weapon has DTOC as lower attribute already, and if someone only had to pick 1 between Foxes or Contractors, Contractors would give more damage due to it being a different source of Multiplicative dmg.
@ interesting! I have never had an issue and have compared contractors over foxes for Incursions. Foxes seems to perform better! Contractors is definitely a good alternative regardless :)
@ yeah, there’s only very slight differences between them, Damage wise. Like, usually all within 1% of each other, between Foxes, Contractors, Cheska, or Groupo, for a Coyote striker build with Both Chest and backpack. The changes vary from build to build though, depending on all other perks used, as Multiplicative boosts multiply on top of each other a little differently than Total Weapon damage boosts stack additive on top of each other. A small example, is how Hunters Fury gives about 53.5% amplified damage at max stacks instead of the 45% that most players think, because it’s all Pure multiplicative from the set, and multipliers boosting other multipliers.
As someone who has almost 1500 hours in Division 2, I find builds are gimmicky. Just load up on Damage and crit, in particular for your favoured weapon type. Job done.
@MrRillist Heartbreaker is great! This setup has been my favorite this Season, it's good with or without Modifiers 👉 ruclips.net/video/HctvdL7ci6s/видео.htmlsi=pf9byrGnIqQgzk4p
sucks i still dont have catharsis only 5 exotics i dont have regulus strega one of the holsters ravenous and catharsis only one i really want is catharsis Edit. also if anyone doesnt have an Eaglebearer and wants one i got one on a new character at lvl 35 in dz no one else in the dz either
For me I got 2 versions of my striker build, one for most content and the other for the incursion. I haven't tried it out on the raids yet, don't know if anyone is still doing them. I also have a hotshots determine sniper build but with airaldi and the headhunter and I use the ninja bike BP. I also have a pistol determine build. I also have a eclipse build and a skill damage build using empress mostly. I also got a negotiators and a hunter's fury build.
For those who want and updated striker build the sacrifice and gift together do more now then striker backpack, and if you don't like those items use grupo or ceska obliterate chest and unstoppable force grupo or ceska backpack (numbers wise those do better)
I agree but not with the confoct build since there are tons of status/skills players that can wipe players no matter how talented/experienced they are. Therefore cartasis is the best choice and not only because of the talent where you loose all status, having regen and incoming repair, the 45% damage increase is up most of the time especially when playing against skills and status. Much better choice than the coyote. In combination withe jammer and booster hive you are set to fight all kind of builds. Try it out
I will go on a limb and say the Strikers build is wrong except its usage in Raids and Incursion. In open world, and in bog standard missions, you'll never see the 200 stacks and if you do, you'll never get to enjoy their benefit for too long.

Summit, on Hard or Challenging with 2-3 directives active and targeted AR loot. I got two consecutively from (I think) one normal enemy and a purple enemy.
season priority or any whwre open world
RG can you recommend a generic build for LMGs?
This one is a favorite of mine- the video shows it with Modifiers, but it works great without them as well! 👉 ruclips.net/video/HctvdL7ci6s/видео.htmlsi=pf9byrGnIqQgzk4p
@RogueGold thank you sir. I know they're not the best I just have an affinity for them.
Use foxes prayer over the contractors gloves guys, unless your using LMGs then keep contractors on!
Job done.
I always wonder what percentage of people running strikers actually use it properly by building stacks. My guess is like 20% 😂
Is heart breaker no good?
Heartbreaker is a beast mate especially with the dare lmg
@MrRillist Heartbreaker is great! This setup has been my favorite this Season, it's good with or without Modifiers 👉 ruclips.net/video/HctvdL7ci6s/видео.htmlsi=pf9byrGnIqQgzk4p
1:42 ...and the most versatile...
That would be me for guidance
#1 Classified D3
pshhh
4 striker, memento backpack, fenris chest with obliterate and st elmo is still superior
That one remains my preference for most solo and Heroic content 👍 But in terms of maximum possible damage, the setup shown in this video wins out
Id defo put Hunters Fury in top 5
Hunter's is amazing, for sure!
Where's the best place to farm tanks mate.
The Countdown game mode 👍 You can set your own Targeted Loot to narrow down what you want, and the loot quantity is the highest in the game
@RogueGold awsome thanks mate. Keep the content flowing 💪🏻
sucks i still dont have catharsis only 5 exotics i dont have regulus strega one of the holsters ravenous and catharsis only one i really want is catharsis Edit. also if anyone doesnt have an Eaglebearer and wants one i got one on a new character at lvl 35 in dz no one else in the dz either
For those who want and updated striker build the sacrifice and gift together do more now then striker backpack, and if you don't like those items use grupo or ceska obliterate chest and unstoppable force grupo or ceska backpack (numbers wise those do better)
need to get eagle or bighorn cuz DARK ZONE is doomed right now with this guns
I agree but not with the confoct build since there are tons of status/skills players that can wipe players no matter how talented/experienced they are. Therefore cartasis is the best choice and not only because of the talent where you loose all status, having regen and incoming repair, the 45% damage increase is up most of the time especially when playing against skills and status. Much better choice than the coyote. In combination withe jammer and booster hive you are set to fight all kind of builds. Try it out
Striker's Chest is RARELY used in most content.
Ceska Chest with Obliterate is the way to go.
Nah the sacrifice/the gift or ceska/grupo with glass cannon/vigilance
@glimmermoth9307 also good options
Hiya RG. Ceska should be pronounced Tcheska as it is from the Czech Republic.
💀🤡😭
TFW come back to the game and don’t read properly and redeem the Lexington at lvl1
I've got like 4 Lexington, they drop every so often
Im a new player and made the same mistake 😢
@SimonCoulton Hopefully they add in an upgrade system. Sorry that happened!

I will go on a limb and say the Strikers build is wrong except its usage in Raids and Incursion. In open world, and in bog standard missions, you'll never see the 200 stacks and if you do, you'll never get to enjoy their benefit for too long.
I mean it's 100% true. Just wasting dmg potential because you aren't getting half the stacks to make using the chest worthwhile
