- Hey Frac Crew!
Happy Wednesday! It's my week off, so I wanted to get out an extra video for you guys. This video is short, sweet and to the point. This Hot Vinegar Sauce is a must if you love your food with some extra spice. It definitely isn't for the weak. I have been growing my Chile Pequin plant for about 2 years. It is the only plant that has ever really thrived in our care. Haha! There are many different dishes that this oil would really compliment. Fried Chicken, Collard Greens, Pulled Pork, and a Stir Fry is just a few ideas. This sauce can last for quite a while so you will have plenty of time to try different things
Here is what you need:
Roughly 1 Cup of Peppers of your choice
3-4 Cloves of Garlic (chopped)
2 Cups of Vinegar what has been boiled
I found my sauce bottle at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. It's perfect for this!
If you are looking for a recipe to use this one try this one. Its how I smoke a Pork Butt:

Behind the Garage BBQ honestly that’s what my grandma would put it on was fried chicken and greens

Damn man I'm going to miss this!!
I'm in Corpus Christi and both of my pequin pepper bushes died during the 'Big Freeze' here in Texas!!
One was at least 20 years old as it was there when I bought this house.
I can't imagine Christmas and New Years tamales without my pequin vinegar!!
I’m so sorry to hear that I lost mine also and it’s hard to find them thank you for watching and hope you can find one again
@@FracDaddyBBQ Hey I always dry part of what I harvest so I can grow new plants.
They aren't easy to grow from seed but I'm optimistic.
I'll let ya know what happens!!
I'm more than six feet tall & both of those plants were taller than I am.
Only in this part of South Texas could I ever imagine reaching up to pick peppers!!
I grew a few from seeds I got faith in you
@@FracDaddyBBQ It's not impossible but it's not necessarily easy.
They are spread by birds in the wild so to get the seeds to germinate you need to give them a helping hand.
I soak them in white vinegar for a few hours, rinse them, and then let them air dry on a metal cookie sheet for a week.
If you want to see which seeds are viable at this point then put them in a glass of water.
Skim off the ones that float. They'll never germinate.
When you get them to sprout then put them in soil or another growth media on top of the soil.
Thin them out choosing the fastest growing seeds with the darkest green leaves & stems.
At 6-8 inches transplant to a 'forever container' or plant them in the ground underneath some cover like a tree or against a treeline.
Great tip I know Heb sometimes had them for sale also
I love that for my deep fried pork hock.
Nice I have an aunt who use to have large bushes of that Chili they were super hot 🥵 Make a Stir Fry 👍🥰 great video quick and easy!
Oh that’s a good idea. Thanks for the suggestion!
Growing Chile Pequin now, need to know how the sauce turned out, please.
It was excellent nice and spicy great on greens chicken and whatever else you want
@@FracDaddyBBQ Thanks much appreciated.
Bubba with that much vinegar you’re perfectly fine leaving it on the counter for months
