I am utterly amazed that no reviewers talk about some of the most important reasons to get the Sony XG 300 speaker.
First, you charge it with USBC. Most of us have several of those cables kicking around our houses and cars. By contrast, if you misplace your charging cable for a JBL extreme speaker, you are out of luck.
Second, the Sony uses Bluetooth 5.2 which means your phone battery will not run down as fast because Bluetooth 5.2 is more power efficient.
Third, it is very handy to have a speaker that connects to two different devices at the same time via Bluetooth. That allows you to switch between a computer in your phone for example, seamlessly and without hassle.
Fourth, the built in speakerphone is surprisingly handy. Being able to take a call hands free with great audio, or using it in a group as a conference call speaker, or as the mic and speaker in a zoom meeting is very handy.
Fifth, having a 3.5mm audio in port makes this speaker so much more versatile. Suddenly older devices (like iPods and portable DVD players), or some else's laptop, are being heard through the Sony XG300.
Given that all the speakers sound fairly good, these days, perhaps some reviewer should be talking about a more holistic experience of owning these speakers by mentioning these other important things as well.

Hi buddy. Nice reviews 👌 so.. if you get around to reading this.. if you had to pick between this and the lg xboom go xg7. Which would you chose for pure sound quality and bass? Cheers 😁😁 or is there anything else you recommend over both of the above for the £200ish mark
Thanks man. I think for the £200 mark I would recommend the Tribit Stormbox Blast. You get a nice balance of sound, volume, bass and lights all in a nicely built package for a decent price.
