I believe the extension Medeek Truss (design.medeek.com/resources/medeektrussplugin.html) can generate floor framing. Maybe give the trial a shot and see if it does what you need?

I downloaded the Housebuilder, however, it's not in normal U.S sizes (i.e. 2x4, 2x6) for lumber. i have 16x50, 16x75 and so on, can you please assist me with setting it up for U.S. sizes? I've looked all over the forums, and found TIG's Metric version, but now i can't seem to be able to remove the previous version i installed and install the Metric version. Please assist if possible.

My home builder wall tool asks me for 3 points instead of 2 and it also only lets me make horizontal walls, pretty weird, also it doesn’t ask me for height of anything else just layout spacing and lumber size

Nevermind, I figured it out. For some reason, even though I had made the 2x4 a component it was still sticking when I needed to adjust the last one. Instead I made it outside of the workspace, made it a component and then moved it in place.

Want to make sure I understand - you changed your restrictions to unsigned, installed the extension (which SketchUp allowed), and it's still not showing up? Did you make sure once you installed it that it was actually enabled in the extension manager? You may have to restart SketchUp after enabling to get it to show up...
Hey thanks for getting back to me. Under the extension manager House builder shows up but as "unsigned". The "unrestricted" box was checked by default on my 2107 version. I don't see any settings that show "signed or unsigned". Also which may be related when I start Sketchup Make 2017 it says I am not connected to the internet, but I am online with other programs. I'd start by deleting the extension and re-installing and seeing if that helps at all - beyond that, not really sure. It's showing up as installed and enabled, right?
I don't understand what you're asking - when you create the 2 x 4, you draw a 2 x 4 box, then extrude it with the push pull tool. When you start creating copies of the 2 x 4's, you use the move tool to create the copies...

One thing you should note is that a 2x4 isn't exactly 2 inches by 4 inches..I think it's exactly 1 3/4 x 3 1/2 or something like that

You'll have to sign up for a free membership in order to see the download, then it shows up in that post. Hope that helped!

You should be able to - it's just a question of modeling your wall framing, then your floor framing, then your second floor wall framing. Thanks!

Be careful with those dimensions. A 2x4 is not 2"x4". All of your measurements could be off if you try to make cut lists off this

On your keyboard - If the tool is active you just type the numbers you want - you don't need to click in a box or anything
