We often learn about what we should do, but not what we shouldn't. Hope this episode is helpful! This is a slightly different video format than my previous videos, let me know if there's anything you'd like to see/change/improve next. Thank you for watching! btw, if you haven't tried Mobbin yet, they have a free plan: mobbin.com/?via=rachel
Long time no see... Great video, liked that left top bar that shows the ongoing topic with the time progress in that topic. Seen other variants of that but yours is the most stubble and beautiful to look.... 🥰🥰🥰
Great video as always and in my view... - the tailwind shadows are already made great. - the fonts I only use the Google ones, there are many and free. And are excelent for web and mobile design. - Mobbin is paid and too expansive for me, while the Dribbble has many ideas and is free.
Just watched this video and you brilliantly done it! Your explanations were clear, concise, and made the learning process enjoyable. Thanks for sharing such valuable content! God Bless You.
Hey Rachel , this is really helpful . In this Cluttered market of useless courses. I want to request if you could make a UI/UX course series maybe , where you explain similary as above as what is important what looks professional . Its been month I couldn't find a good foundation courses on RUclips as I am a visual learner and its difficult to learn through books for me. I would really appreciate you posting a maybe single video but of proper foundations courses maybe rest we will practice .Thanks!
Rachel one doubt. I want to create case study for my website redesign. Some people show tha full process and some people show tha result in case study. For example for user research there are two options 1) I can document what questions asked in interview what they replied how I scheduled the interview, everything 2) Only document results that from the interview.... which one method am i choose for my case study
Hi Rachel, I think it would Hi Rachel, I think we would appreciate that you can make some Webflow tutorials to help us so we can improve the coding-UI design part, hope you can read it :DD
generally, it is not recommended (if we’re referring to the same web banner). Unless you place the banner below the top navigation bar of the mobile app, and the message in the banner should be important enough to the user. For mobile apps, a nicer way to design this is to use a card instead of a banner. Hope this helps!
I'm a self-taught UX designer working on my portfolio, and I was really stuck until I found your channel. Thank you so much for sharing such valuable content! 🫶@rachelhow
ahhhhh this is a tough question. Personally, I don't have any certs related to ui/ux design, I strongly believe that your portfolio matters more and certificates often don't reflect an individual's skill set and work ethics. If I were hiring, I would prioritize the candidate with great design skills, organized thought process and great attitude. I also want to add that it's more helpful to learn through real world experiences!
Hi, Mobbin has a free plan where you can browse the latest 8 apps & websites without extra cost. However, because the amount of effort and time needed to populate more content and ensure their library of 300,000+ screens are updated, they need to charge money in order to make this a sustainable business. Not to mention they also have a large team dedicated to this. Based on my observation, businesses that try to stay free end up closing down or founders abandon their business because it's not sustainable. I still think their subscription is worth it if you reference apps and websites for client projects or at work. The amount of time you save and the learnings you get from referencing those apps and websites are valuable.
Nice Video! Subbed! But I cant help but think that all of these helpful videos like yours are gonna be scrapped by AI to replace designers/developers in the near future :( Humans can only learn so much, AI is just gonna be the best UI designer...
i think you could just leave out the word ”modern” and just rename the videotitle to : How to not design UI. These are all tips to just design UI, modern or not🙂👍

As a fresh UX/UI Designer it is interesting to hear about pop-ups, but it makes perfect sense, that it's distracting.

Very cool video!
Thank you very much!
I do like the design on 1:22, it's a bit off center which is odd. Still it's good to have a unique style to a brand right?
Rachel why its too long to post a video! I thought you left youtube! Big fan of your design work
well said Rachel
thanks for watching!

@rachelhow, can we use banners in mobile app design as you shown in the example f website.

Hi! Would like to ask is getting an UI UX certificate worth it ? For example from coursera,UX design institute.

How to run a a/ b test?
mobbin is they do not let to see the designs until I register 🤕
