Florida’s Most Terrifying Homeless Camps In The Everglades Jungle

- We go to Florida City, Florida the most dangerous and murderous town In Florida to see homeless camps in the everglades. Right outside of Homestead a rural suburb of Miami these homeless camps are in the unbearable conditions of the Florida jungle. The most dangerous and fearful place in the United States to be.
I lived down there for almost 10 years and i was an addict on drugs living in the woods with very bad people!!! I am in Recovery and have been clean since i moved back to PA! Its no joke down there and its like a whole other world down there!
Glad your doing better. Dont ever go back
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGSThat's 'you're doing better,' Lol 😛
Your brave to admit that. But i'm glad you are out of it. Although i dont know you. You can help stop others going down the same path.
Congratulations, welcome back. Remember relapse is part of recovery. There is a thick line between abuse and addiction. ILMAC I love myself and I am capable. An acronym I learned as an Airborne Cavalry Scout. Fight to win & if it means enough, die in place. Wishing YOU Good luck from Gainesville Florida down in the swamp. FAREWELL
God bless you. ❤ You're a lucky one.
My brother, a homeless Army Vet, sadly died there in Florida City. Despite our family's efforts, he was always drawn to the streets life. South Florida National Veteran Cemetery
Blessings
Blessings to you!!
Im so sorry.
Sorry bro
My wife used to buy bananas for a guy that chose to live on the streets.
🙏🏾
I am so glad you documented this. People want to deny these people's existence.
Right. It's not cool to make them live in a place like this.
A good percentage of them are vets too.
@@TheBridgesYouBurn why don't you take some home with you and then we can talk again about all that.
Some choose to live there. The government cant make them put up a tent.
Let's not forget some these people are bad and cannot be trusted. Tho this is NOT every homeless there are SOME who fell on hard times. But generally 80% are just criminals and drug addicts and mentally ill.
The only safe way of helping is to hand them goods like food and water and clothes. But do NOT bring them with you as you don't know what sorta person they are.
I'm homeless in Brevard county by myself in an awesome camp alone and some people just live like pigs your vids are awesome keep it up
were gonna do videos on the east coast soon, i know the homeless situation up there is bad.
Sending prayers sir, I hope things start to look up for you.
Sounds badass to be honest. I would way rather live like that than being a government slave.
I was homeless for one year in the Orlando area. I camped in a swamp in the Winter Park area.I kept my camp spotless. When I see how most homeless camps are squalid, filthy pig-stys, I wouldn't want these scumbags anywhere near me. How many times do you hear people say "We need to do something for the homeless"? You can't do anything for them, all they'd do is destroy everything you give them. I know, I've seen and witnessed this first hand. I basically stayed by myself and didn't let anyone know where I was. A time or two someone would find my camp, but I let it be known in no uncertain terms that they wouldn't be camping anywhere near "my area" of the swamp.
I'm in brevard county
Jose you are crazy!!! You’re risking your life in the jungle to make the video and I appreciate your time thanks
Yeah he is he can easily run up on
This is very dangerous!!! You could've gotten killed.... you shouldn't put yourself at so much risk.
As someone who grew up in Florida, I agree. Them people in the woods can be very dangerous.
The wildlife alone will get ya.
At least they're not on our sidewalks yet.
My God! How can you stand it? I can’t believe the conditions these people live in. Thank you for this opportunity to be educated.
They may be homeless by circumstance, but being homeless and poor doesn't mean that you can't keep your surroundings clean as you can.
This is terrifying… Florida City and Homestead is already a rough area.. I can’t even imagine… thanks for showing us Jose
I think the living conditions are so bad you could just die from mosquitos bites and animal bites. You see all the medication they had, go figure you get fevers and rashes endless possibilities for the residents of this unbearable situation
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS Absolutely agree.
I understand Florida City but Homestead?
@@asielmilian38surprisingly so , not that far from eachother and pretty much the same besides the crime rate
Wow! Kudos for going where NO ONE else will go. Not only the human danger but the natural dangers are overwhelming. Benadryl will stop the itching. Thks for sharing, but please don't put yourself in danger like that again. You seem like a really nice guy. We need all the nice guys we can get right now. 🙏
Josie You know your life may be in danger just because you are exposing the reality of Florida. Not from the homeless but from the government not wanting this known to the outside world that yes this is actually a reality in Florida.
Imagine coming through there alone at night without announcing "Coming through, coming through no harm intended!" Gators may be on the prowl too
Panthers ,moccasins you name it .F.. That!
@@richardmorris7063 Moccasin snakes? Oh yeah, them too, you're right😂
Great stuff, this is serious journalism. You should put some of your work into competition at film festivals. This is reporting that needs to be done.
This video would make for a very informative documentary.
great idea
I agree. We need this man.
I was in states custody when I was young.. Back in the 70's actually.. And one of the homes they put me in was down in Florida City.. The father owned a construction company and built in ground pools and patios.. We would go fishing down in the Keys on the weekends or we'd have parties at the house.. Back then it wasn't so bad.. I never went into the woods or anything like that, but we did have adventures around the neighborhood.. Oh to be young again..
My camp looks like the Ritz Carlton compared to those landfills
i tell ya meng
Those horseflies crawling on your face have been sitting on human waste.
I pray for your safety. Thank you for educating people. I’ve never seen anything like this. Next time please wear a mosquito net and plenty of Off Deep Woods spray.
That's right. Horse flies are huge and they bite!
He’s so goofy. Couldn’t be any of my kin. Inexperienced and will probably get hurt soon.
Unimaginable. 😮 I am appreciative that you shared this with us but I was beyond worried for your welfare. The conditions are deplorable. I didn’t have expectations of a glam campsite but I was unprepared for the sheer amount of debris and filth. Meaning within the tents and such . . . the living spaces. I can’t imagine the hell of living in those conditions.
you could die there with a fever or insect bites crap is unreal
Another disease that's been gone for 100 yrs but is making a comeback is typhus. Why? The unsanitary living conditions of the homeless, specifically the lack of proper disposal of human waste. In the cities, this disease can spread to the rest of the population. In the woods, it will take off and destroy the humans living in the camps there.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS yeah its crazy I have multiple health problems. I want down to 88 lbs. And that lifestyle is very dirty and the only way I could even live like that was becuz I was on a shit ton of drugs!
Least they could do is dig a hole for their landfill huh??
I had no idea folks living out there in tents with alligators and snakes
They can't even keep the place clean
Why aren’t these ppl in jail if they have committed crimes!? Them living in camps are ruining nature 🤬 they need clearing out.
Where do you put them? On the street corner? In jail? Can't jail someone without cause. Being a criminal can mean that you have a record. You have done things. I know, we can send them to your house for a sleepover? lol
Its better for them to be in the woods then on streets or alleys
Okay would rather them in places where they are close kids then? Like do you think before you speak? The woods is the best place for these criminals if they already served time. Dangerous people don't need to live by kids or families or elderly or the disabled. They should've thought about their actions before committing them.
If you wanna live and behave like an animal expect to be treated like one. You get what you put in. You can cry all you want but, at the end of the day would you let these people live in your neighborhood?
@6:41 I think Gila Monsters have yellow dots on black.
Great coverage. Scary stuff. It's no wonder that people that live in these conditions are suffering from mental health issues. Definitely don't have that pillar of hierarchy known as a home.
Its called they're all mainly on drugs so that's it
@@karakelly704 I hope they're not getting the drugs the police are trying to give them. Fentanyl and the like. Hopefully they're getting some good weed. It's amazing how all human beings use drugs and always have. It's amazing how some people are 'homeless', because of it. I could understand if they were made homeless because they were Jewish or black, but drugs? Come on. We all use drugs.
Probably only habituated during winter months. Too hot during summer. During summer they mostlikely go north.
Leave or die this time of year
I guarantee you’re gonna have 100,000 subs really soon! I love your channel! ❤
Thanks, we work hard. it's hard to get people to subscribe when ima so arrogant of a turd LOL
Thank you for doing this investigation. I live not far up the road and had no idea of horrible situation. I'm an advocate for rehabilitation of prisoners. This is what happens when nobody cares.
thats right we dont care about these sex predators and convicts...F em
It doesn’t look as they care!!! 🙄
@@Truelyblue333 they are child molesters and rapist..F em
Where else are these long-term ex-prisoners going to live? It's not like they have great credit histories and can qualify for an expensive mortgage as a single person.
@@marcusleja7133 in hell where they belong
Please be safe when exploring these campsites. Great video. Just so sad.
A couple things...
1. You're a brave SOB and I like that
2. Holy mosquitos! I would have been out of there so fast
3. Those huge trees you found were amazing. They have to be at least 100+ years old.
That's an Argentine Black and White Tegu. Not native to Florida. There's a problem about them becoming invasive because people buy them as tiny lizards and don't understand that they can get up to twice the size of the one you found. They're honestly very sweet pets when domesticated. My friend owns 3
Thank you for taking your time to make that comment. That is exactly what I went into the comment sections to find, what kind of reptile that thing was.
Yes I was saying this the whole time. I'm like it's a Tegu. It's a Tegu. Anymore? You can find almost any reptile down in Florida that people have let go and now it's got to establish population. It's very sad because it's hurting the ecosystem and when they're captured they have to be killed
Thank you for identifying the lizard. This is why I came to the Comments.
Thankyou for this. Imagine the clean up costs to get these areas to be cleaned up
That shopping cart is an Aldi cart. You stick a quarter into the slot in the front of the security device, and pull the "key" out of the back, which is in the device on the cart you're wanting to use. The key is attached to the cart in front of yours in the cart return. Then when you're done, you stick the "key" back into the slot on the back, and get your quarter back.
So they paid 25 cents for this cart 😅
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS lol, yep.
I'm also glad you document these places. Please be careful and stay safe. Get a mosquito net to drape over yourself and a mask. I know it's hot but dang
the one thing that has always disgusted me about homeless encampments that i've never been able to resolve has been the garbage. i've been poor - i still am! - and homeless but i DID NOT generate the trash, the squalour that i see in video after video.
the detritus homeless people produce staggers me. generally speaking i understand junkies comprise a substantial portion of the homeless population.
Ive never understood the massssive amounts of trash in these situations either . It definitely doesnt help their cause whatsoever .
You've never been able to "resolve" because you are brainwashed and indoctrinated instead of being self educated about the world you live in. You get your trash collected probably on a weekly basis. These people don't, they have other problems, like drug addiction and simply just living in survival mode puts you in a despressed state of mind. When the world dosn't care about you because we live in a capitialist system where profit is a higher priority than human dignity then why do you think these people would care about the world they live in. Seen as you are uneducated: let we warn you that the banking system is about to go pop in near future on a global scale and be replaced with CBDC (central bank digital currency) which you will be required to have a digital identity to use.
The United Nations (UN) has ordered banks worldwide to begin issuing mandatory digital ID’s to all customers and refuse service to anybody deemed ‘non-compliant’ or blacklisted by the globalist organization.
STEP 1 - digital ID
STEP 2 - digital money.
STEP 3 - Global government enslavement system complete no more nlack market, the government tracks every single transaction and can switch off your ability to use services based on your social credit score and criminal record or political leanings.
Lets hope you don't lose your STATUS in the capitalist modern day slave system of spells and curses (the legal system) and end up in the same position as these poor unfortunates.
Bruh, you should see how much trash all these corporations generate. They toss out tons of good food and even brand new stuff still in the package or box. I've seen dumpster drivers get brand new flat screen TVs, someone just got a new washing machine, just go join any dumpster diving group. The only difference is they're paying someone to haul it off and cover it up or dump it into the ocean.
Tweakers accumulate tons of garbage. Their minds are spinning 24/7 Like a hamster on a wheel.
Tweakers keep running. The hamster gets off for breaks.
When you don't care about your own life and existence, why should you care about garbage?
Omg!! Fascinating and horrifying. I’m in Australia and just shivering watching that. The heat! The humidity! The mozzies!! Don’t they have rangers patroling those areas? Just the filth is mind boggling
the greatest country right?
Thank you for putting yourself in danger to make the public aware. I had anxiety the whole time. Be careful out there! 🤗
ME TOO
This scenario is taking place in STATES thru out the Country. I recently watched videos of camps in Canada, British Columbia, Australia, Hawaii and on and on. Very sad how deteriorated our States have become. The common threads with most of the occupants are, Drugs/Mental illness.
I live in south Florida and I find it amazing anyone can live out there. The mosquitoes and other bugs are insane!!! You're a brave MF for going out there. Watch out for needles.
Me toooo! I step outside and get annihilated by bugs
Hello from Naples FL
Yeah idk how I did it! I guess from not being able to shower and the chemicals were sweating out of me and i guess it kept the bugs away idk
Snakes love places like this because of all the trash and garbage attracts rodents. Were mice go snakes go
@@karakelly704 I lived in my van for awhile and it was the heat that got me. But in the winter time south Florida is a good place to camp.
@@mac11daddy6 crazy thing is snakes are pretty rare in south Florida atleast where I live. I haven't seen a venomous snake down here for atleast 10 years. It's sad because people kill them when they see them. I don't kill anything I don't have to kill. Took my wife awhile to except that I won't kill a spider in the house , spiders are a great defense for the bugs that will hurt you
16:50 cell phones, bicycles and household items.. I suspect this dude was a prolific Thieve anyone else get that same idea? All those cell phones are probably from car break ins i think.
Best cure for that is to bulldoze it into a big pile and burn it !!
I'm homeless and have NO SYMPATHY for humanoids who live like this and turn it into a garbage dump 🤬
Probably thieves. Part out the bikes. The NyQuil would indicate they were making a different drug. Maybe MDMA
Banana, mango, sugar cane, and lizard. The diet of the tropical savage. 😂
This is a piece of art created by our beloved mother fucking politicians.
I appreciate you for taking a dangerous risk walking through those human-hell hole camps, to video
and show the public the horrendous, destruction to a tropical jungle. It’s upsetting to see the unsightly trash dump created by the presence of the filthy, disgusting, derelict humans. I have no compassion for people, who have made it to this point in their life.
Living like that is also a real need for a lot of them. No compassion for that?
No, it's only okay when rich people destroy the environment. 😆
I mean Epstein can buy a whole island and fly people out in jets and his little black book is safe, Disney can hire people and keep them on that abuse kids and keep the most recent movie/documentary about child trafficking from being released oh and let's not even count the number of people that have mysteriously died or disappeared on their cruise ships and they were covered up, they can build their amusement park destroying the environment and creating literal tons of trash, but yeah it's these people that don't deserve to live. The world is full of hypocrites.
@@joewoodchuck3824 I have compassion for people who have fallen and seek to find help, and work at trying to get up and out when given a lifeline. It takes a lot of work and energy to find a way to get money to support a daily drug/alcohol addiction, it’s a vicious, endless cycle. One I have known and saved by the help and strength from the Lord holding onto faith in him.
Be careful Bro, by you calling out “coming through” could be a trigger for them. Drugs, criminals and mental illness are a bad combination; your life is more important than clicks and views.
It doesn't look like anyone has lived in the area you filmed in quite sometime. I feel like I need a shower after seeing this video, though.
It's a failure of government. Rich congressmen.
The town should clean up the mess. Provide ramshackle housing for men with self control. Arrest and dry out the severe addicts.
Yeah it’s been months or even years
More gator relocation needed to that area to help fix their homeless problem
They'll just eat them.
All these suggestions with no mention on how to implement or pay for this stuff.
Be careful there’s a malaria outbreak through mosquitoes in Florida right now.
yep thanks to bill gates
Hydroxychloriquine can be taken to prevent malaria
The shopping carts are not to prevent theft they are just to annoy shoppers. You put a quarter in and it pops the lock out in the back. When you return it then the lock goes back in and pops your quarter out. So fun! LOL
Aldai’s 🤣
It annoys the owner when his carts start disappearing.
That cart should have still locked a quarter. Junkie steal everything.
The first lizard is a Tegu from South America. An invasive species that can cause a lot of damage.
Wow!! That things huge
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS they are mean and have sharp teeth. That's what they call a "fuck around and find out" lizard.
A small dinosaur, looks like it would bite the chit out of you, Sheesh!
If I was them I would rather have the death penalty than live out there. It’s a living hell. You’re v brave going there to film
He’s stupid, not brave. Not ONE dude approaches him, he’s more of a threat to them trying to create content being dramatic. He doesn’t know shit about those people. Fake ass.
it looks like the camp has beem abandond for a very long time, no sighns of recent activity
dident run into one person,
no person can navigate there in the dark either.
I already commented but… I just have to add:
God bless you, man. I believe this video- that you literally put yourself in grave danger to make- should be shown in every high school classroom across the country. Maybe starting junior high, actually.
…” There but for the Grace of God go I…”
Also; someone please send this to DeSantis😑
Use some insect repellent. The mosquitos transmit all kinds of super bad stuff you don't want to deal with. Outstanding video. Be careful. I spent half my life tromping through the woods and swamps of Florida, and never went anyway unarmed.
It’s like this in most major cities all across the country. It would be awesome if they were clean organized and living in harmony with the environment. Using the abundance of plants and resources that are a available in Florida. Parents spend a lot of time working or going to prison to property raise the children. We are being robbed of many things.
This reminds me of “Deliverance” 😅. Be careful
My friend that I grew up with in Md and was in different bands with most of my younger life moved there and ended up dead and even though that we didn't talk much in our adult life the only reason that I know is the police called me asking questions because I was the last call he had made on his phone. Rest in peace Jimmy 🙏
Worst mosquitoes I’ve ever encountered were down there, you could hear them. A truck drove trough Chokolosskee at night with a sprayer in the bed but it did seem to do much.
No way!!! My hats off to you man shorts and shoes I’d be in jeans and steel toe boots walking through that!!! Great video 🙏🙏
WOW...Please be safe. Not worth your life but thank you for the investigative journalism 💯
another great video
Using the cardboard to climb over the fence...It's too bad they have to make a trash mess everywhere...
I live 15 mins away from Florida City and I can confirm that it is indeed a VERY dangerous place
Beautifully landscaped garden. Hope they enjoy it .
You funny! 😂 made me laugh, thanks.
And yet some of the finest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing was the same migrants that came from Homestead every year for 15 years picking tomatoes on the family farm. They became part of the family. We watched each other’s kids grow up. They will stop by the farm to visit although we are no longer growing tomatoes and come for weddings and funerals. Good people.
its good people in South Florida. they work hard for thier kids
Damn you have balls doing this video
What a beautiful place; it's a shame to see it trashed like this. P.S. Be careful out there! These people sound terrifying! Also, what's up with people hanging poop bags on trees? 😱
It's to ward off good spirits, they only like being possessed by evil spirits 😆
@@TwoFingeredMamma That'll do it...😂
So they ent shitting all over the floor but the least they could do is get rid of it all into black bags and dump it in that hotels bin so goes to a proper dumpsite
That's a deer/yellow fly my man.they will chase you and I know I don't have to tell you they're PAINFUL.. You're a brave soul, thnx for a glimpse into a world I wouldn't have seen otherwise.imagine that place at night..
Comin through, just comin through.
Here in Omaha, Nebraska in the spring, summer, and fall, our homeless have camps sep up along the Missouri river bottoms. It is like living at a state park. But in the winter, they must move down south.. The problem is every where. Luckily we also have well run shelters.
Thank you for sharing
We are going to see a lit more of this, the way the world is heading,BUCKLE UP!!
Those are DEER Flies, not Horse Flies. Yeah, they DO bite. The lizard is a Tegu…
The female horse fly also bites and the bites are very painful.
Wow!!! You are BRAVE
Hey, here from Miami, thanks for letting us know, we wear going there last year and they told us our mobile phone would not work there, but my friend’s phone was the only one available; therefore, more dangerous some phone don’t work there.
You're crazy bro, thanks for the video's though.
Bug spray bro!
Nobody lives there, that looks long time abandoned place ! That monitor was crazy and those bugs..ohh shit.
Yellow flies,, smaller versions of horse flies & just as viscous
The one with the 10 camps is inhabited tho, thats why the trail is so clear. That bike was new too.
They destroy the area where they live. Look at what they do to the land...
What about ants, spiders and mosquitoes? Those biting insects would drive me crazy, not to mention the disease this jungle living is susceptible to.
Where are the Pythons when you need them!! Lol
phytons are released pets, the hunters are using pets from captivity to get online clout its all fake for drama
Jose no … you do not need to make this kind of content. Me and my husband very much enjoy your drives around different cities. How about not putting yourself in danger so we can keep enjoying those drives…
The homeless camp videos pay for the drives.. the drives don’t get as many views
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS 😰please be safe man, I hope you at least have a location tracker and protection.
Please be careful! About five years ago I was in Florida visiting my mother in a nursing home. On tv in the hotel the news had a story about a woman and her elementary school son living in aren’t in the woods. Her son was in public school. Her area was clean she talked about having a place to use the bathroom. Apparently she lost her job and had no choice to live like that. She kept their clothes clean using a stream. If I remember correctly the school was aware they lived that way. I was so upset after seeing that. Very sad and upsetting. Bad things happen to descent people.
OMG! Be safe. 🦎🕷🪳🕸🦟
I was raised in Florida city, living there was like crabs in a bucket
Not an easy place
The cardboard etc is just to take the edge and or barbed wire out of the way when climbing fence.
Climing fence 101
Take a garlic supplement next time to deter .osquitos when going out to the woods.
Agree, works wonders. Best transfer method is make a nice toast, then butter, add fresh thin sliced garlic. But anyway you consume it helps a bunch!
I've only been to the Everglades once. We couldn't do much because of the mosquitos. When the car stopped, you could hear hundreds of them hitting the car windows. I don't know how they stay there.
I grew up in Homestead and Florida City..left in 1992 . Wow 😢
Isn`t there giant pythons in the everglades?I would be concerned about being a meal.
Also anacondas

Bloody hell you're brave. Are you armed? I live in southern England so this seems CRAZY to me 😲
I avoid being armed its usa you can need it often
Its crazy to think that down the road they are building homes starting at $500.000 in Florida City next to the hood
500k homes are the hood in Florida lol. A decent home is 800k+
One brave camera man to be there on foot thanks I watch this video as i eat breakfast and watch this on my armed compound on a ky mining site.
I'm guessing those shotgun shells are why that camp is completely empty 😂
Facts. He says coming thru but I didn't see 1 person
I had land and had this problem. They go out during the day and come back at night. It took me a couple weeks of going back daily to clean the garbage and shells from each night and posted signs. I finally camped out for a couple weeks and they moved on.
I'm so glad that I live far away from anything like this.
I was out at jungle, you add offender and homeless camp.... Hell to the naw, I'm not going back there. You definitely get a like and subscribe from me my dude. Stay safe

Bug spray for sure. Feet to run.
Just saw another YTer with a video about Key West being in the same conditions. Florida is just trashed....
Excellent documentary. You really are brave going in there alone and with all the bugs and poison ivy. I wouldnt last 3 minutes there
That cardboard is definitely concerning
If the soil is contaminated with human waste I don't think the vegetation is edible
Human waste is the best fertilizer.
Just rinse it of or rub it in the dirt and it's still good.
