I laughed when the retired nurse said “no one will show you a blue they’re afraid-“ woman has a blue in her hand 2 seconds later before she finished her sentence.
Came to the comments for this🤣
@@dopievillanueva7820ong me too🤣🤣
Lol the nurse lash told the truth saying they’re a couple dollars while the black chick tried swindling “$30….sometimes”
“Oh, there you go” 😂
I wonder when she became addicted to drugs while being a nurse. She full of it. lol 😂
The black girl in the pink shirt is real af.. She knows what its really about and accepted the way she's living as a choice. She's right about counselling. It's an important step for these people to heal. Hopefully one day soon she will become tired of that life and find the willingness to change.
shes intelligent and accountable. she has what it takes to make a great life for herself, she’s still young. i pray power to her.
Agreed, would love to see an update some day with her on a better track
@@marroonrider3193 She knows when to book it, too lol 12:20 right after they ticked that guy off.
It’s not always a choice.
@@KSMEkaliekShoyou people read too much into things. this is an edited video. she likely walked right back to her tent right after. she probably needed something from someone
For those curious about the lady with college degrees at the age of five: I worked at a homeless shelter. Drug induced psychosis is a real thing but the commonality you will find between all stories / delusions is that they are all narratives that make the person meaningful or successful in some way.
It's not ego. It's the brains way of coping and protecting itself. These people are so vulnerable and derided by society. Their inner world of make believe where they are a prodigy and have value is what keeps them safe.
Very sad stuff indeed.
Are the psychotic episodes temporary or permanent? Do they ever go back to their normal selves? And do you think such people are a threat to society or themselves?
@@TJ-ub1bs That depends on too many factors for anyone to answer properly. Whether or not a person returns to a baseline level without psychosis depends on factors that cause the psychosis in the first place. If its drug or lack of sleep from stimulant use induced psychosis, it's possible to return to a baseline state where the person isn't experiencing that state of mind anymore.
If it's psychosis due to mental health issues, whether schizophrenia or related to any other mental issue, the question of that person returning to a baseline, non-psychosis state is individual. Sometimes with mental health issues the symptoms flair up at times due to a number of possible reasons and factors.
It's possible for a person in this state to suffer from psychosis at one point and at another point not be in such a state.
Although, someone like the person being referred to in the video is most likely a combination of drug use and mental health issues, both acting as a catalyst for one another. Chances are they are like that the majority of the time.
@@TJ-ub1bs permanent or temporary just depends from person to person and how long they’ve used, not 100%, and most of the time yes sadly.. just research drug induced schizophrenia, drug induced psychosis is similar except it wears off for example seeing everything look wavy on acid is drug induced psychosis but it goes away after the drug wears off, sometimes drugs don’t wear off and can give ppl HPPD, so a lot of these ppl are in some sort of drug induced schizophrenia/HPPD.. but basically their brain is fried, these harsh chemicals have messed with the neurochemistry so bad that the person is crazy, there’s not an exact term for this mental state rn but we obv can see it exist and it’s very complex… also trauma can negatively effect the physical brain and it’s neurochemistry, so the hard lives these ppl lived plus the drugs is just horrible for the psyche, trauma causes multiple mental/personality issues and disorders and addiction does too so these ppl are outcasted which adds on even more… no one can change these ppl but themselves, I suggest researching Jordan Petersons videos on addiction
As someone homeless never believe a story from these people. 95% of them have a chance to get out of their situation but chose not to. I found when trying to help them when I got clean and off the streets most of them were lazy and enjoyed what little they got from the government. There are very few you can help. I lived that life for 6 years. Until the government stops handing out free bees nothing will change. It's no different in minority communities. They are paying the single mothers money and give them a place to call home but they don't put anything back into society except for more criminals who are a product of single-mother households. I'm so tired of people covering up those who don't want help unless it's free of work and consequences. Now that I'm off the streets I have to pay for them out of my taxes. It may sound cruel but it's what I learned from being in the same situation. Colleges need to bring back trade work rather than teaching people about oppression and LGBT pride or it is going to get worse. It's become ridiculous. They are not learning anything valuable anymore. The professors are now all activists with agendas rather than teachers.
@@TJ-ub1bs I had alcohol psychosis twice in my life and was most likely induced by amphetamines
I was homeless on these exact streets 3 years ago. Thank god I got sober. Everything is getting worse so much quicker then I could ever imagine.

Addiction and mental illness make it so hard to find a solution. Speaking from experience.
the addiction and mental illness comes after the main problem is rent being to expensive
@Elias high rent does not cause drug addiction and mental illness
@@MartianAmbassador69 the drug addiction and mental illness comes after having to be homeless because rent is too high and wages aren't high enough
@Elias being homeless doesn't necessarily cause mental illness. An intelligent person that suddenly finds themselves without home doesn't just become mentally ill. Being mentally ill causes homelessness because they cant take care of themselves or anything they own. Drug addiction can cause homelessness in non mentally ill people, but most homeless people are homeless due to mental illness. You have your order mixed up.
Nothing to do with rent. You could give someone $2000 a day and if they are trapped in that cycle it will go to drugs and alcohol, not rent
a lot of these people stay together because it’s the closest thing to having family in a world where many of us judge and give dirty looks, god bless all these folk they’re human as well and speaking to them a lot of them have good hearts

A fucking legend fr
This is no joke!! I’m from downtown AZ, & the city is barely starting to do something about this cause of public outrage. I’ll never forget when I was doing UberEats this dude ordered 23 cheeseburgers from McDonald’s & didn’t answer. It was like 1am , coincidentally I was close by here & I pulled up to give em away. Took me minutes , and there was a flock of people still waiting for one ~ I felt horrible wishing I had more. I empathize for the homeless, I know there’s bad people out there; but most homeless people have a story to them. Salute to you for spreading awareness / going out there to make this video brotha fr ! 🙏🏼
you're a real one for thinking of doing that after getting burned & actually following through. big ups m8
As someone who currently lives downtown near van Buren, I don't feel bad. I was homeless for nearly 6 months.. they are there because that is the life they want to live, they chose that and do so every day. Savages who now come further into the neighborhoods and rob me on a dog walk.
As much as it sucks there’s nothing you can do to help these people. Most of them are on drugs and the amount of money it would cost to get a small ass portion of them sober would be fucking astronomically high along with the people that don’t want to get sober. Then if the state did pay the money to help put these people in programs a lot of them would relapse. That’s also assuming any of these people even have a work ethic. A lot of these people are homeless because they either can’t hold a job or don’t want to work. You wonna do something then help them start a program to obtain a license or an ID. That way the ones that actually want to better themselves will have a chance to climb back up. But saying we need to throw money at it won’t work. It’s like the saying you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink it.
A lot of homeless tend to exaggerate or make up stories to gain sympathy for their bad decision making. I would take these "stories" with a grain of salt.
WORK CAMPS PEOPLE! IF THEY WANT TO TURN THEIR LIFE AROUND (THEY DONT) THEN THEY WILL STOP USING AND WORK. FOR THE ONES THAT DONT WANT TO OR ARE TO FAR GONE. END THEM!
I have lived in the Phoenix area my whole life. You have places like the zone, but also you have folks who are being driven further and further outside of town away from resources. Hundreds if not thousands are dying each summer. Some organizations are bringing them water and food and literally searching up and down washes in the desert to find them.
I felt that lady who said she use to be a nurse until she explained how to smoke fentanyl 😂
That lady wasn't no nurse
This is heartbreaking to watch, thank you for providing frontline coverage of this! The world needs to know
Dude imagine going to one of those houses that are right by the homeless people and one of them waits for a kid to come out on one of those fences off porches before giving them a snack or a pacifier laced with fent 😂😂😂

That lady in pink was spitting facts. Most people that end up living like this is because of their own choices. Nobody's fault but their own.
Yeah like it's their fault if they get prescribed fentanyl for a broken bone then get addicted to heroin. It's the doctors and big pharma. Your lack of understanding is cringe.
Unfortunately for many this is true. Nothing is %100 but many people who are homeless choose it over shelters and programs.

Went to the Old Station sandwich shop a couple of weeks ago on my lunch break. I met Joe, and mentioned your video, which made him very happy. He said you guys were great. The Zone was also completely cleared out. No tents, no needles, and no zombie apocalypse. Not sure where all the people wound up, but it’s a ghost town there now.

For anybody who may be curious, I live in Phoenix and they recently cleared out “The Zone”, kicking out all of the people without having any place for them to go or support for them. It has cause all the dispersed people to wander into all the surrounding areas causing chaos for many of the local businesses. It’s a disaster to say the least..
@@vvn635 I moved here from NC and I absolutely love it! There’s tons of stuff to do. Down in the Phoenix area it’s more city activities and things like that but just 30 mins west in Mesa there is the Salt River you can float down which is awesome. Then if you go up to Sedona or Flagstaff there’s many more nature type things to do. To me it feels like there is a lot more to do here than there was in NC.
