I built this deck. Having both sacrifice and discard spells. My playgroup was surprisingly ok with it, but I’ll def hold back on playing it as much. It is such a powerful and oppressive deck, and kinda hard to build a weak version of it. It is a kill on site commander , so I would def add cards that protect it or ways to reanimate it for cheap. Animate dead, commanders plate, are a few examples.
My Tergrid is kind of a hodgepodge mix of the sac and discard strats with a few Howling Mine-like redundancies so they always have cards to discard. It's pretty mean and I don't play it often but I have enough unoptimized sentimental jank in there to make it less oppressive, although I did just get a Bottomless Pit for it...
Turned my Rankle deck into a tergrid deck. Plan is to interchange those two when I want a more "fun" version and then switch to Tergrid when we are playing our higher power stuff.
im switching mine between tiny bones and tergrid but i play all three (tergrid, rankle and tiny bones) in both of em. Ill have to try rankle as the commander soon. I bought way too many cards for this deck lol
@@vonhousin4179 I think out of the three Rankle will be the one that will get the fewest complaints for the table and then being in black you can just tutor up the others to make em groan later.
Peer into the abyss would be a good one for mean. Have them draw half there deck then force them to discard everything and bam! You'd need card draw for sure but that would be nasty!
Im building a tergrid and im here to say that your mean and i love it. Maybe have a power down sideboard to keep the salt at bay so it wont be so devastating

I am planning to use her in a Ravos/Vial Smasher (Mardu) using tutors, wheels, Cataclysm, Balance, Grave pact, fleshbag, etc. With volrath's Kaya the inexorable, valki/tibalt, and some artifact removal for weathered runestone. Don't have much of an answer for Tamiyo yet.

She will be in my Kess Discard deck 🤗 just ordered her in foil: to make the discard not so cray cray and not rage inducing I removed every tutor except scheming symmetry 🤷🏼♂️ but added uba mask 😭
Built Tergrid on untap.in, it was a really unfair match-up one game I had with her so far. I really wanted to type, "Call an ambulance. BUT NOT FOR ME". I was going against two discard decks. :D But yeah I do want to have Tergrid deck irl because my playgroup runs Azami Wizards, Jin-Gitaxias, Jodah, Edgar, Narset types of decks and my 5c Kenrith is the only way to cope with those to a certain extent. Besides, I don't have access to as many cards as the people in my playgroup do(they've been buying mtg away longer than I have) so it feels like Tergrid would be a nice weapon to put on the table. I had built an Urza deck with a similar mindset but the deck doesn't really do much without Urza out, Tergrid is punishing even without her on the battlefield. We'll see how they feel.
The problem with tergrid as your commander is alot of cards are not going to be as great without her in the battlefield and it's going to get killed as soon as it comes out 80% of the time.
So I definitely would have added Tiny bones to the along with priest of the forgotten gods as well making you sacrifice 2 creatures to make all your enemies lose 2 life making them sacrifice a creature and then you add 2 black mana to your pool and draw a card seems pretty good in that deck
@@JakeandJoelareMagic actually priest of the forgotten gods is kinda busted if you have turgid out because you sacrifice 2 creatures making all you enemies sacrifice a creature then you use those creatures that got sacrificed they come onto your side of the battlefield and then you can the sacrifice those creatures to rinse and repeat along with you adding 2 black to you pool and drawing a card every time

I play this deck this mean style and the hate sustains me 😈 also you forgot to add Waste not enchantment its a must have for the deck alone side Geth’s girmomie artifact,its so you draw cards as they discard its pure evil
I built a angels/demons deck based off this and it is a solid asshole deck,lots of life gain and discarding/sacrificing is forced,and I was able to get ArchFiend of depravity,Peer into the abyss,soul shatter,and tons of other cards with similar effects.
Hmm that's a good question! Maybe... Strong - Spirit Tokens Fun - Voltron (since she has pro creatures) Mean - Pillow Fort (with cards like No Mercy and Ghostly Prison)
I hate Tergrid, it's so busted lol. I instantly leave any Brawl match against her on MTG Arena. I don't recommend building her to anyone if you want your playgroup to enjoy playing with you.

I need a Rankle. I have a Tinybones forced discard that Tergrid will be a sub-commander in.
Magus of the coffers combo was missed.... have an umbral or sword of the parruns or staff of domination with a few swamps....
Didn't miss it! Just didn't include it that's another excellent way to get infinite mana. Fairly fragile tho, MotC can get aced for the interrupt

Usually a turn one or two tergrid, 3 or 4 eldrazi or discard spell.

I play vintage with my playgroup. Built a black blue control deck with Tergrid. My play group haaaaaaaaaaaaates me
This deck is going to give alot of players EDH PTSD. You're going to need a shovel for that salt, or a margarita glass.
Played a 12 man tourney this past weekend. Tergrid was kill on sight and still came in third.

Infinite mana comes easier with magus of the coffers and either umbral mantle or staff of domination.
I really wanna play this with insidious bookworms and Death cloud was made for this.
