Dread Presence is super strong with Urborg Tomb of Yawgmoth, your opponents' lands will enter play via Tergrid as swamps and give you multiple triggers.
@ Dalton Mutz, I hard Dread Presence in the original list, it was my 102nd card so I cut it to space reasons. I would definitely recommend trying it out though.
2023 here, my Tergrid deck looks very similar to this except with a few additions like the One Ring, Professor Onyx, Oppression, Opposition Agent, Orcish Bowmasters, etc. My friends hate me now
Deserted Temple + Rings of Brighthearth can be a fine inclusion as an alternative wincon. You can use them to generate infinite black mana with Cabal Coffers and finish the game with Tergrid's Lantern.

@@vex_mtg Haha good question! They probably don't LIKE playing against it, but they don't mind. Games go quick when you have no cards in hand. And I usually get teamed up on and taken out first.
seems like a strong deck! This is a cool commander, but unfortunately I feel like the second the table sees what your doing your gonna be archenemy till your dead 😶
Indeed @C.R. Bledsoe, this is indeed a strong deck. My secret is that all the other commanders are really strong, must kills creatures. Hopefully mine will survive enough to gain value.
I make this deck almost same (70% non land card same with my line up but with some protection card such as (unlikely aid, etc) to protect tegrid ... everything is fun until i summon Tegrid and small pox everyone... start from there, I become public enemy, its like all my friend targeted me, and try to kill me... This deck is strong, cause of that u will be killed as soon as possible like Kaalia the Vast or Leovold Commander deck ...
You made the most expensive and best version, with all the expensive cards you had I subbed em for small deathtouch creatures to help stall a couple of turns lll
I have an idea that I'm applying to mine is Peer into the abyss, ik it's expensive cost to cast it but it does help if she's on the field when it gets to discard phase
I have her in my Kess Discard deck its how to lose friends 101 i did however take out almost all tutors except (scheming symmetry) to make it slightly more fair kept SS because its like giving another person the choice of pick ur fate u know idk kind of sadistic i guess hahahha
hey! i really want to biuld her but im wondering if it could be a hassle to play her over spelltable (no face to face magic where i live), keeping track of things you steal, hmm what do you think?
@Jose Haya, yeah, she is quite difficult over Spelltable. You can either try to have a copy of the card you are stealing or infinitokens to represent them. You also have to keep track of the state of the card, for instance the card will go back to its owner's graveyard when it dies and such. I'm saving a lot of my theft deck for in person play.
@Paul Jimerson, I think All is Dust might be a little lower because I would lose my commander in the process, it's close though. I do like stealing my opponent's lands though.
I think I may have found a loop. Let's say you have a tergrid mirror. 1 v 1. Your opponent has tergrid and let's say fleshbag marauder, having sacrificed a token. If I were to have tergrid on the field and played a fleshbag of my own, would that not result in a loop of stealing fleshbags?
Hi @john shuman, I don't believe this will create a loop because when you play your Fleshbag Marauder, both players will sacrifice their Fleshbags, then your Tergrid trigger will go on the stack and then your opponent's Tergrid will trigger, their trigger will resolve first and bring your Flashbag back on their battlefield and then its trigger will resolve making you sacrifice your Tergrid and their Flashbag, then your Tergrid will trigger, take your original Fleshbag back, they sacrifice their Tergrid and you sacrifice your Flashbag, then finally your original Tergrid trigger will resolve and bring back their Fleshbag and you'll have to sacrifice it, ending the loop.
I'm currently trying to make my own commander deck and i was wondering if tergrid god of fright/ tergrid's lanturn count as one or two cards. can anyone help me?

Watched to ensure Toment of Hailfire was in the deck... was not disappointed! I love playing this style deck - Nice build!
Oh course @Let's Open Some Packs, Torment of Hailfire is like a black staple for me.
@@vex_mtg I love the card, but clearly not enough to spell it correctly lol.
Just bought this deck. I know it’s 2 years ago but this deck looks really strong
Good luck with it, hope your friends don't hate you afterwards.
Definitely! With some ramp upgrades it’ll be super fast as well and hard to beat!

Braids, Cabal Minion...😎 banned or not, she is badass and essential. Smokestack, Geth's Grimoire, all good cards.
@Hybrid YD, I agree Braids would be really good in the deck, but I guess there is a good reason it's banned.
You could always do the new braids to draw a ridiculous amount early turns lol

I’m glad your enjoying the deck. My friend got even with me and played it against me.
Hello, are you willing to share your deck tech? Curious to see what updates you've made compared to Vex's original deck tech.
Vex I just love your videos sooooooo so much! Appreciate the time and work you put into it!!! THANK YOU
Thank you for the support, I love doing videos that people love!!!
Would love to see your take on a horobi edh deck
Hi @Pete Lemoi, thanks for the request, I'll add it to the list, no guarantees though.
Deserted Temple + Rings of Brighthearth can be a fine inclusion as an alternative wincon. You can use them to generate infinite black mana with Cabal Coffers and finish the game with Tergrid's Lantern.
That is true, but killing your opponents with their own stuff is also so much fun.
@xXTlahuiXx can you please explain this infinite black mana combo? I am new and have these cards in this deck but don’t understand how it works
@@jamarclayton4155
Prerequisites
All permanents on the battlefield
You control at least six Swamps
(2) available
Steps
1. Activate Cabal Coffers by paying ( (2) and tapping it, adding (B) for each Swamp you control
2.Activate Deserted Temple's second ability by paying (1) and tapping it, targeting Cabal Coffers
3.Rings of Brighthearth triggers, causing you to pay (2) to copy Deserted Temple's ability, targeting itself
4.Resolve both Deserted Temple abilities, untapping Deserted Temple and Cabal Coffers
5.Repeat
Results
Infinite mana lands you control can produce
Infinite untap of lands you control
Great tech, helped me build my Tergrid deck.
I’m new to MTG and I think this deck is sick! Definitely in on pissing my lil brothers off with this!
Cant wait to try Tergrid in my Tinybones deck.
Tinybones is a great deck for Tergrid @Life with Luke. Does your playgroup like playing against Tinybones?
@@vex_mtg Haha good question! They probably don't LIKE playing against it, but they don't mind. Games go quick when you have no cards in hand. And I usually get teamed up on and taken out first.
@@lorcanawithluke i am wondering how to keep track of the things i steal over spelltable :/ not sure if ill build her for that reason.
@@josehaya6362 yeah that can get a little tricky. Not the best spelltable deck I agree
Urborg should be the tutored land especially since the land you steal can tap for black mana with it on board.
This is correct @tony crawford, I didn't realize that synergy until afterward.
I mean they still tap for colorless 🤷🏼♂️ budget cuts hahahah

One nasty hell of a deck!
@Rogue Underdog Duelist, indeed it is!
Very nice deck! are u still playing that deck? you would add some cards of expansions released from the date of the video until now?
I’m making one as I type this and your vid gave me a lot of great ideas!

I'm glad I can help @2pocketdeuces.
Спасибо! Прекрасное видео! Буду собирать точно такую же деку.
Thanks @Mordar Dmitriy, hope you deck goes well!
Can you make a orvar all form deck I want to see how you would build it lol love your vids
Hi @Demigod, I'll put it on the list, hopefully I can get to it before the next set comes out, there's so many decks I want to make!
Magus of the coffers plus untapper like sword of the paruns or umbral mantle is infinite black mana for the Lantern half finisher
That's correct @Paul Jimerson. However I play so many infinite combos in my other decks, I didn't want to have another one in this deck.
@@vex_mtg Fair point sometimes its boring to just combo out as the only win con
I have an idea that I'm applying to mine is Peer into the abyss, ik it's expensive cost to cast it but it does help if she's on the field when it gets to discard phase
That's a really spicy one @Joshua PoGoer, I think that would work well in the deck.
oppression seems like a good card for this deck as well
@Dennis Chapman, indeed it would be a very good card for the deck, I actually took it out because I didn't want to be too oppressive (pun intended).
Cool deck! I just feel it's missing Black Market. It would be absurd in this deck. Have you considered it?
Hi @Cyril Haidon, Black Market would be pretty good in the deck. I did consider it, but it's a little too slow for the deck.
Definitely go for Boseiju its either the most useless or the best card in the deck, blue does that to cards
@Paul Jimerson, I not a big fan of Boseiju in causal deck, but I totally get what you're saying about the card.
This is the "volume up to 11" Tergrid deck. 😂
Yep @oxpolitik. I did say in the beginning this is a powerful deck!
was super excited to build this deck to get into magic but.. the deck list no longer works :(
Magus of the Coffers and Umbral Mantle for infinite black mana.
That is a true statement @Dan Hinson!
I've been looking at Tergrid for a while. . I'm about to lose all my friends haha!
Yes you are @Gavin Fredrichs. You should also get a bigger playmat too!
@@vex_mtg very funny!!

@Undeca, sometimes you need to be the one having all the fun right? 😏
If this deck had a name , that would be " I want to make you hate playing against me " ahah
That sounds about right @Riccardo Galizzi.
I'd name it "Hippo" after the gangster in the movie Chappie. "I want everything!"
Have you made an upgrade to this?
Painters servant plus all is dust in tergrid?
That is a little nasty as in extremely nasty! I like it!

I would put All is Dust in the same level as Death Cloud almost
@Paul Jimerson, I think All is Dust might be a little lower because I would lose my commander in the process, it's close though. I do like stealing my opponent's lands though.
@@vex_mtg Yeah not quite as good as the cloud but getting all their enchantment can be crazy
I can’t wait to put my deck together it will not make friends lol

@8thPlaceDave, it is pretty hard to goldfish but I do like to use my imagination, like taking their Ulamog!
Deck tech on imoticelebrant of bounty in next video please bro??
Hi @Paolo Scarabaggio, unfortunately I'm planning on doing a Yidris cascade deck instead of Imoti. Stay tuned for that deck tech.
