Thanks for this nod, Jamie. It was really nice. Don't know what the other commenters are talking about - this feels very Canadian to me. Yours truly, a genuine Canadian.
2 things I really love about your videos: 1. You always add ingredients that people won't normally put in, BUT they are still essential for that extra flavour to the dish 2. I really love how I'm able to "taste" the dish during the process of making it XD
I'm reading in neswpapers about your affaire with spanish Paella. I would like to say that you are my favourite cook on internet and always i'm learning new tips with your videos. In Spain there are many people who like to talk and criticize but they don't have your passion and dedication for the people and for the kitchen. So I hope you to continue doing and experimenting with what you do.
Sorry Jamie haven't made this yet - will get round to it but... Did make Kerry-Annes Veggie Con Carnie AND Shay Olas Burritos this week though (trying to go meat free a couple of nights a week - both delicious) I have a request - scotch pie pastry (for filling with leftovers from above) Thank You for Food Tube - I genuinely make the recipes every other day. DJBBQ's sweet potato wedges are made in my house at least once every week.
i'm going to try too! I enjoyed your series around Italy so much a few years ago. It really inspired me. I now live in Italy and have started showing it in my videos - in yesterdays video i take you to one of my favourite pasticcerias (bakeries) before showing how to make the local speciality! If you like Italian food and italy i think you might like it
hi dude you are the best chef ever i have never made a recipe from you that i didn't like ! maybe you can do a video on 5 things to do with maple. Oh and last time (if you remember) you replied to me and i actually called my friend
Thanks for the nod to us all in Canada! Curious, how much does maple syrup run in the UK? It's everywhere here on the Canadian East Coast this time of year!
Love your tip to add apples to the mixture. I can imagine it would give it body and sweetness to balance the "meaty" pecans. Thanks! p.s. I say pecans the sane way too 😋
So amazing! I love everything you do, Jamie! I can't wait for all the christmas recipes How do you personally like that Angel's Envy? I have a bottle but it seems too fancy to open
How is it that the filling is not falling apart as it doesn’t have any binding agent such as egg in it? I guess I’ll have to try it to find out! Many thanks Jamie.
Being healthy is cool I support Jamie all the way if you ever want to ask me a question please leave a comment in one of my videos and I will try an answer them
Could you sub the apples with English pears? I'm not really a fan of them and also is there a difference between salted and unsalted butter? Besides that one is saltier?
That is decadent in every way! Fresh ginger, barrel aged whiskey cream with burnt orange notes..... You've outdone yourself. This is impressive.
Thanks for this nod, Jamie. It was really nice. Don't know what the other commenters are talking about - this feels very Canadian to me.
Yours truly, a genuine Canadian.
Thanks buddy - glad you like it! x

I would love to work with Jamie Oliver! Maybe one day i can be the food photographer for his books.
Love your tip to add apples to the mixture. I can imagine it would give it body and sweetness to balance the "meaty" pecans. Thanks! p.s. I say pecans the sane way too 😋

How do you personally like that Angel's Envy? I have a bottle but it seems too fancy to open

No one needs a special holiday to enjoy maple syrup!
I looooove it.!!!
hi jamie! do you remember dj bbq's philly cheese steak? i tried it and its my favourite sandwich right now! thanks :D
HELL YEAH WE REMEMBER THAT! So glad you like it!
How is it that the filling is not falling apart as it doesn’t have any binding agent such as egg in it? I guess I’ll have to try it to find out! Many thanks Jamie.
"Oh look at that, TIME!" :D
Looks yummy. But what's the recipe for the crust??
Being healthy is cool I support Jamie all the way if you ever want to ask me a question please leave a comment in one of my videos and I will try an answer them
Oh my God! This is killer!!!:)
All killer, no filler is our motto!
Will you be uploading regularly again now?
what if you were to use Mascarpone cheese? would it work just as good?
How many corners have you on a round cake-tin did you say? 😄 Love the recipe!
I am so inspired by Jamie, I made a RUclips Channel about Cooking
What's the name of the background music at 3:30? ^^
Shazam app for your phone is great in finding music.
Darude Sandstorm
+Nabil M always.
tart with a heart
xfactor refrence
great
Confused yet intrigued by the thyme... might have to give it a go! I feel like the cream would need a bit of sweetness in there though?
Oh yes
YES SIREEE!
Can i use chestnuts instead??
Thanks from a Canadian immigrant for the use of Canadian maple syrup ! P. S. keep your "NUTS" off the pie !?!? L O L !
Our nuts will always be on top!
Isn't that going to be painful? LOL ? Love to see you cook in Canada! 🤗GBY !
Does any one have an idea of where to get creme fraiche in the US !
Oh my God Jamie Please Don't, No no no no. I might start cooking after watching this, Gawd
Go on, dooooooooo it!
Could you sub the apples with English pears? I'm not really a fan of them and also is there a difference between salted and unsalted butter? Besides that one is saltier?
Hey Yujin! Yep you can swap apples for pears. There's no different between salted and unsalted butter apart from the salt content.
could i use rum instead of bourbon? also is there an alternative for breadcrumbs? just feels a bit cheap you know :P
You can absolutely use rum! Or any booze that you fancy. You could also swap the breadcrumbs for oats - have fun cooking and experimenting!
Jamie Oliver brilliant! thank you :)
Is there a link to written instructions and measurements?
Afraid not - but you can pause and rewind this video til you've got it all scribbled down. Good luck!
How would dried apricots or dried figs work instead of pecans? (nut allergy)
Sure - give it a whirl and see how it turns out!
Hi Jamie, Is this recipe doable in a dutch oven?
Cheers! :)
Yes! Enjoy!
Saw the video you did with KSI jamie it was great hope to see another collaboration the pie looks great aswell 😂
Thanks for the love dude! We'll see what we can do...
I wonder if there's any food Jamie doesn't like hahaha
loveeeee
Can I replace the syrup with what?
yummy
YEAH!
hey, can I use something else then bread crumbs ?
What are the breadcrumbs for? To me this seems weird. Is it for texture?
Yep! It's how you make a traditional British treacle tart - trust us, it totally works and is delicious!
Thank you for answering/clarifying!
That looks SOOOOOO good!! :O:D
ARE YOU THE REAL JAMIE!?!
i subed you from KSI that was a very funny video
Woohoo - glad you liked it!
Angel's Envy! Though a rye would be more Canadian.
Just poke the nuts...so they're half dunked
I usually dunk my nuts all the way without poking it, but I'll try Jamie's way.
Whatever you, just treat those nuts with care.
I cant find maple syrup (and order is to expensive), What can I use as substitute?
Agave Nectar or Date Nectar is just as good, not as sweet but much healthier!
If i don't have maple syrup, i can use honey?
