Yeah. After trying so hard to bring Disney to Japan, his dream was ultimately destroyed by Disney coming to Japan elsewhere. I don't know if I would have the strength to recover from a blow like that.
Woah I never expected to hear The Animals of Farthing Woods. That was a cartoon that was really mature and real for a kids show because it had lots of animal death. Animals in the show got ran over, shot by hunters and other realistic wildlife deaths.
I mean all shows that were for “kids” in the 80’s were very mature and were really just for parents prob why they put and add at ten in the 80’s that said “it’s 10 o clock! Do you know where ur kids are!?)
Hi! I’m glad you covered the truth of River Country’s true closing. The amoeba rumor had always annoyed me knowing that the park really closed from problems with overcrowding when busy and then no crowds when Typhoon Lagoon opened (with blizzard beach to follow). Not all closings have to be super dramatic.
Great video. Also I was wondering if you guys have heard of Jungle Jim’s.? it’s a grocery store that is located in Ohio and they have animatronics. Not only that but they also have two locations. I also think some of the animatronics are from different places so I think a video or two on Jungle Jim’s and the history of the animatronics they have would be a great idea.
@@charatertravelsYou can hear: I dont want to set the world on fire. its an Song by the Ink Spot and featured in a few fallout games and in the amazon Fallout show
If you are interested in the Chernobyl disaster and doesn’t wanna read boring books about it, I recommend you reading “Black bird girls”. The book is about two girls in different perspectives during the Chernobyl disaster and the book also uncovers some cool facts too. It’s been my favorite book ever since I read it. Thanks for your time and have a great day/night. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I like how Yongam lands owners didn't let it just go abandoned they saw the appeal it made to urban explorers which is really nice I wish more people would do this
This was one of the first videos I watched of yours! I rewatch the original every now and then because it's such entrancing stuff. Happy to see it revisited and expanded more!
OH MY GOSH it's so crazy finally getting to see Walt in videos! I thought this day would never come, but there he is, and he is wonderful! (PS: I love his little top hat!)🤩
I loved River Country as a kid! As for what Walt should dress up next, he should either be Indiana Jones (for exploring “theme park ruins”) or a spelunker looking in abandoned places.
Thanks for showing Pripyat park!!! I had the chance to visit Chernobyl some years ago and to this day I remember it as one of the most hauntingly beautiful places I've been to. If I can make a small comment, I wouldn't say it's desolated - before the trip I was actually expecting it to be some sort of post-apocalyptic wasteland, but it looks more like nature successfully reclaimed the place with luxurious vegetation and wildlife. Of course it's not inhabitable and you still have to pay attention to where you go and what you touch, but just to give you the idea I've been onsite for two and a half days and was exposed to less radiation than what you get with a transoceanic flight (I had a Geiger counter with me - they are not mandatory but recommended)
Images be seeing an empty park and assuming it's abandoned. I grew up in Oregon, where Enchanted Forest is very popular, but very old and when you visit it, you can see how old it is. I can't imagine someone trying to to take parts of the park without googling it first. Edit: I want to add, twenty years ago, Thrillville was situated next to Enchanted Forest. It was very unsafe, and was shut down. I would love to see it mentioned somewhere
6:46 well actually one of the locomotives is actually still around and looks a lot better. It is on display somewhere in Japan. It originally worked at Roaring Camp for about 10 years before being sold to Japan.
I love that FNAF reference. Some of these places looked pretty charming. What a shame they are gone. Also, I’d like to kick in “Rock-A-Hula Water Park” of “Lake Delores” in San Bernardino County, California. I went there once in high school, but it shut down in the late ‘90s after going bankrupt.
I remember the NOLA Six Flags from when I was little. Whenever we drove by we always talked about going there one day. We had moved to LA in 2003 and never did get to visit before Katrina hit. I remember driving by afterwards and seeing it all abandoned and still flooded in the distance.
29:46 As I watched the videos of this park I was so confused as to why I recognised it but realised it was where txt filmed that laser tag to do episode 😂
I loved crinkly bottom as a kid, I was a huge mr blooby fan and an even bigger Animals of farthing wood fan so it was was always worth it.(they had a train that would take you through animals of farthing wood scenery and it was my fave thing ever!!) Always had a creep factor to it, the noddy part in particular would always creep me out. Soooo tempted to watch the video on the guys finding it after all these years but I don't wanna see it in such disrepair 😭
I am from New Orleans and went to the New Orleans Six Flags as a kid. I have fold memories of going there before it shut down and I am happy to hear they will be revamping the area ❤
I live an hour and a half away from the old six flags in Nola and if they are turning into that complex they want to, they sure haven’t started doing anything with it. I wish jazzland would come back. I have good memories there and when it turned into six flags I have some good ones too.
Should check out American adventures. It's in Marietta, Georgia been shut down for about 20 plus years. I'm serious, can't even see it anymore. It's so overgrown.
i love how it doesn't mention that one of noel edmonds theme park tho there is no mr blobby in sight the area is now called happy mount park, I've been in the place and still for my opinion is very poor for entertainment unless you wanna play mini golf and have kids to take to their poor exuse of a water area (it's just like mutipul sprinklers lol)
I found out an interesting fact. if you go to the pool at Fort Wilderness Campgrounds you'll find a water tower with a waterslide around it. when I asked what the letters on the side said the lifeguard on duty said that she didn't know and that the water tower came from river country. later I looked at photos of the river country entrance and saw the exact water tower. it is so cool that a relic of a defunct water park is still around. especially now that I know River Country was torn down. I had seen it while on a boat. p.s. the letters were 'R & R', you can guess what that means.
Hey guys, don't now if you get too many comments to see this, but would you ever make a video about the Warner Brothers Parks? There werent many, i only know about one in australia, and movie park germany thats formerly been a Warner Brothers park Edit: Anyway, love your videos, you consistently make great quality stuff and it's a joy to watch them
Yeah, but then that’s why a lot of these theme parks are abandoned because of what happened years ago, but like if they actually fixed it up, I bet they were totally make it cool again Like for the fun of it and plant more trees and make it until like Disney World and stuff like that kind of
Chernobyl's biggest issue was its own bigness. No one had ever built a reactor to that scale before, so no mass produced parts would fit things. One source recalled little financial award bennies bestowed on those who were particularly effective in jury-rigging technical solutions. The Chernobyl site was effectively built by McGuyvering their way through.
I'm from north carolina and I never knew land of oz existed. I think it would've been so cool to visit it Edit: wow it had a kind of happy ending...I gotta visit one day
Yeah, but this is why people need to build a time machine so we can go back to like these kind of like times to ask the simple questions and like show them our phones so that way we can know what really happened and maybe even help Disneyland to this day maybe but I don’t even know what that kind of question either
What should Walt dress up as in the next video? Leave your suggestion to be featured in the next video!
Daffy Duck
Walter afton
William afton
Chica? I dont have ideas 😂
Normal
I wish that Nara Dreamland wasn’t torn down. Disney honestly should have bought it since it was originally going to be a Disney park.
Literally omg !! They wasted too much money on building another park.
Would have made sense.
The Nara dreamland story is heartbreaking.
Yeah. After trying so hard to bring Disney to Japan, his dream was ultimately destroyed by Disney coming to Japan elsewhere. I don't know if I would have the strength to recover from a blow like that.
Don't feel too heartbroken about it. The park's owner fell behind in property taxes.
This could be titled how Disney bankrupted multiple parks
The way I snorted 😂
ITS COOL THAT LAND OF OS ISNT REALLY ABANDONED ANYMORE
That’s what I thought
Woah I never expected to hear The Animals of Farthing Woods.

Pripyat actually did open because they didn’t know about what was happening so it was open for a few hours before it was evacuated
I vividly remember going to the Blobby castle theatre thing when I was a kid, and I got to meet the Blobby himself and literally cried.

Wait. So there was a Wizard of Oz theme park and it wasn't even in Kansas?
That’s just weird lol
😅😅
Of course it wasn't in Kansas. When you go to Oz you're not in Kansas anymore.

I grew up newr Wichita, KS. I was never allowed to go to Joyland. I heard stories of some of the stuff that happened there.
That must’ve sounded like a horror story that “cool” kids would share
…but how would I know? I wasn’t there!
If your vandalizing or stealing your not a real urban explorer 🤷♂️ in fact people like that are the reason the rule dont share locations exist
