Me and my sisters actually got stuck on the Harry Potter ride in the Dementor scene. We were right at the end of the jump scare part when it broke down. If you thinks it's scary, imagine being stuck with this guy looming over you, while you're dangling in the air, in a nearly pitch black room, for three minutes T-T
I live in TN just 45 minutes from PF, and that Jurassic Boat Ride is SUFFERING. It’s legit terrifying due to its COMPLETE darkness and busted animatronics.
Noooo, that exact thing happened to us once. The ride got stuck with the Dementor moving in front of us. It was terrifying, but a bit funny because after a while, it looked like it was dancing.
The funny thing is I was there at Transworld 2018. Everyone hated that thing because it was constantly turned on and wouldn't shut up. You could hear it throughout the entire showfloor. Not surprised 13th Floor bought it because they don't care about the actors who have to stand around it.
@bananonymoussupreme3345 it was one of my fav things there. It was towards the back corner by the escape room stuff. It was a trailer on hydraulics. You entered with 3 other people and put headphones on, they played different audios like monster growls and thunderstorms and 4d effects happened. The trailer rumbled with the lightning and monster steps, and the seat had air tube's for breath, there was water droplets. Really cool experience

damn, sad to see that the animatronic of the kicking feet in La Llrona barely works anymore. It used to kick really hard and often to the point where the entire fixture would shake up and down like she's trying to swallow it.
Labrynth of the minotaur, one of my first dark rides and one of the reasons I love dark rides and animatronics, good to see it on this list, althought I still believe it should be higher. BTW, the mechanic of having the ride end sooner if you didn't get a minimum of points was dropped long time ago, due to guests complaints, it was an original idea but interactive dark rides were, and still kinda are, a novelty in Spain, so people weren't familiar with the system (in som of the shown videos you can see how many of the riders aim at the monsters instead of the targets), also at first the ride vehicles didn't have anything to see your current score so that task was made pretty difficult. Still a fun ride in my opinion. 🦆
Literally showed kids and people being bitten in half at entry #3 "La Llorona," but at #1 a child missing a single arm, can't show that on RUclips apparently.
🦆 The sleeping giant from Distortions is so much more impressive in person then in the video. I worked at a venue where I had to run an event involving this animatronic. If you ever have a chance to see it in person I highly recommend it.
Kings Island regular here. A couple years back, the park celebrated its 50th birthday with a live musical show based on Phantom Theater, called Phantom Theater Encore. It was retired this year, but a recording of the performance might still be available on their RUclips channel. Definitely give it a watch if you can.
Seeing 1001 Nacht on that list made me chuckle a bit. The video quality and all make it look muuuuuch scarier than it was and while yes, going into that dragons mouth was kinda scary for kids, most of us (Germans who went there, I mean) actually remember it very fondly. The tales from 1001 nights, just like looots of other fairytales, used to be well known by the "not so young anymore" German generations and when you rode 1001 Nacht, you could often hear parents narrating the different tales that were depicted to their children - each in their own style and own wording because there are so many different version of the tales and every parent probably got theirs from another fairytale book. It actually was a very nice family ride and I have nothing but fond memories of it - nothing scary about it at all - then again.....I'm German so...eerh..
God, giant King Kong/gorilla balloons are what caused my megalophobia, seeing all these new animatronics get bigger and with more detail is my NIGHTMARE
If you all ever get the chance to go to Monster Day in Greeley Colorado I highly suggest it! Distortions Unlimited makes it so much fun with seeing all of the new animatronics they come out with!
I loved the Mummy ride so much as a kid, my favorite part was when they'd set the ceiling on fire and you could just feel that hot air blast you in the face, really freaked me out (in a good way). I haven't been in over 15 years but last time I went I'm pretty sure i road it like 4 or 5 times in succession.

I work at a haunted house that owned by a major company and we actually have one of the Pennywise animatronics on display (although it's not operational, I can't tell you if it actually doesn't work or it's because we don't turn it on)
I’m not kidding. I went to the Jurassic ride because my little brothers who for context are two so the big dinosaur and thought they were that it looked cool we stopped we went in. We bought it. It cost a whopping 60 bucks which is crazy cause I could’ve button a lot of stuff for $60 but instead we spend it on some shady looking ride when we got on the boat, it was very low quality, and we saw a bunch of birds and ducks swimming around in the water we go in and oh my God it scared the crap out of me. The way was solo quality scared me Plus, only one light was on at a time and there was hardly any sounds and top off the crabby $60 low quality ride I lost my Swiss Army knife. I’d only gotten the day before.
I don't know if you've already done it, or if you cover it in this video (I'm about halfway thru) you should do a video including some animatronics from the Haggrid Motor bike ride in Universal Studios Orelando. On it, there's a part where (Harry potter fans, please no hate ) a scorpion looking guy sprays you with mist, and there's a HUGE fluffy animatronic (at least, it was really big from what I remember). Fluffy being the Cerberus. It's really cool.
