The ferryman one kinda made me feel sadness. That sculpture holds so much meaning to somebody who’s struggling with depression but yet unlike the ferryman they won’t give up the fight
This is the same for me. I can still understand why people are afraid of it, and heck, I feel some fear in it still. But as the video went on. Well, that changed, I feel more sad and sorry for the ferryman, and in many ways I think I relate to what he is going through. You know what’s scarier about the Ferrymen’s End at 9:48 the thing it represents “a loss of connection with the outside world coming as a form of depression” that genuinely scares me cus as of now I’ve been really cut off from the world around me and have in fact dealt with depression from it… hearing its story and the fact it’s meaning is something I relate too gives me this primal fear. As though I’d one day turn to stone.

One of my earliest vivid memories as a child was at the Jaws ride in Universal Studios FL. I remember being in the boat and pulling into this fake boat garage (I don’t know what you’d actually call it) where it was dark and an enormous animatronic shark coming up right in front of the boat. Now, this ride seemed a hell of a lot scarier as a child and it’s now closed down, but I don’t think I’d be able to ride it again even if it was still functioning. That ride was the reason I have this phobia!! Eeeek!

Vandrotten in BonBon Land is still there! I work there and it is fully operational. Although the huge figures have been removed due to poor maintenance of them during the years, but the ride is not closed!
