At a local mall years and years ago, they had an alligator animatronic that was placed in a small pond located outside a random store. It was partially submerged, and its functions were to move its head and open and close its mouth, a speaker near it played growling noises. I remember being scared of it every time I passed it because I thought it was going to come alive and crawl out of its little pond to chase people. The mall eventually got rid of it due to maintenance and cost, but I still remember it (the last few years of its life, it was turned off, except for the speaker still played). I have no idea what's in it's place now since I haven’t been to the mall it was at for a long time. Just something interesting that I thought of when he was talking about the muppets crocodile.
There's a small family park near my home town in Germany. Its called Erse Park and it got a attraction where you can venture out on the lake there with those boats you peddle with your feet. The lake isn't themed at all and the boats run on a track but in the middle of the lake is a giant freaking white shark half submerged only its head sticking out. Its static and doesn't move but its creepy nonetheless. It terrified me as kid. I never once rode this attraction and I even wouldn't today. This park is a nightmare for people with animatronic phobia as it got a part called "'fairy tale forest" stuffed with them. And the last time I went they were run down and the forest was unkempt. Imagine rounding the corner on the woods, only to end up in front of a big, round red dragon asking you with it's cracked voice from barely working speakers "Do you want to be my friend?"
They've covered Erse Park before, specifically the entirety of the Fairy Tale Forest. As a guy not really afraid of animatronics, it's one of my goals to visit
More submechanophobia please Walt! 🦆. Id love to see the 'creature' from Frog Dreaming make an appearance. The whole film is available to watch on RUclips
8:36 I'm not saying your wrong Walt but for the sake of the MuppetVision film and Animatronics I want Disney to find a better home for the show in Hollywood Studios or everybody has been asking for it to go back to DCA if there's a theater for it
Ooh Walt, we once had a really creepy animatronic in Adelaide Australia, of a giant clown rising up out of a jack in the box. It was nightmare fuel, and I have no idea who has custody of it now.
You should do an ENTIRE VIDEO about the Creature-Shop! It has such an interesting history, and has been involved with amazing projects you've never even heard of! =)
Speaking of Spain there are some small submerged animatronics/props in parks from here, Portaventura's Templo del Fuego (a walkthrough ride with similar effects of Poseidon's Fury) has a scene were various skeletons tied to poles emerge from a lake inside the temple, Puy du Fou España has various in their shows/walkthrough attractions the show "El Misterio de Sorbaces" (about the Visigoth conquest of the Roman Hispania) has the Holy Grail emerging from a fountain pouring wine, the walkthrough "Allende la Mar Océana" (about Christopher Columbus expedition) has a scene where the ships get entangle in seaweed, there's a window from where a boat with a man trying to get rid of a seaweed in total darkness with only a lantern to illuminate him, and the night show "El Sueño de Toledo" has an entire ship emerging from the water from where real people come out. The original French Puy du Fou park has several submechanophobic moments like in their vikings and king Arthur shows (they mainly take place around and in a lake) and the walkthrough attraction about French sailor La Perouse. Just in case you need contenders for the next one.
Ooh! Salty Sam is also technically at Popeye’s Bilge Rat Barges at Universal Studios: Orlando! The theme is cartoony but there’s a big animatronic octopus that’s attacking Sweet Pea and it’s semi-submerged as well!
Can you do a video on lost animatronics
Like the funland dog !
That's a great idea.
Yes please 🙏
Facts! Or another longer form vid about a lost animatronic like the little guy from Disney
I still dont see the funland dog or the chipmunk D:

It’s still very upsetting that Muppet Vision 3D is closing.
Your next video should be on lost animatronics, and please add in the Funland dog!!
