  • Pane Siciliano (Sicilian Bread) has unique S-shape combined with the bronze crust covered with sesame seeds making it a beautifully stunning bread. The semolina flour used in the dough makes for a nutty flavor and a striking golden interior.

Love this bread. Santa Lucia is the patron saint of Siracusa. The eyes are everywhere!

You can add honey instead of malt in powder/malt syrup. Malt you could purchase on Internet, but I have mentionned it could be replaced by honey. (I make mafalda and it is exquisite)

Too bad you didn't use wild yeast. Would have been interested to see how it would come out.

Starts at 1:55. Just keep pausing it as you write it down.

Honestly, real Sicilian bread uses bread (high gluten) flour, not AP, and no malt powder.
