@@forcecaptainoverlordsuprem2964 given her personality, she's probably more of a healer.. being the chief's wife could have come with some prerequisite criteria that needed to be met
Although waterbending is my favorite, id love to hear more about firebending. It seems like the element that sticks out the most out of the four. To me at least, bc firebenders are able to create their element, not just bend it.
Air is the element of freedom. Water is the element of change. Aang brought freedom to the four nations, and Korra changed the world more than anyone since Wan.
Korra having dealt with the spirits, and especially Vaatu, she created a way to stop Vaatu while living in harmony with spirits in a way that Wan nor Aang thought was possible. It took them long enough. However it poses a problem for humans who may linger in the spirit world.
I saw a theory that said Bloodbending corrupts a persons mind and soul. That’s the reason 4 out of the 5 know bloodbenders went crazy and had no remorse for hurting people. The only reason Katara didn’t go insane was because she didn’t practice bloodbending regularly like the others.
Avatar wan wasn't completely wrong in closing the portals and being the bridge between them remember in his time their was an imbalance between humans and spirits neither side got along at all. So maybe in closing the portals humans and spirits in time can learn to try and coexist and get along with each other as best they can so that when it's time to open the portals everyone human and spirits can live in harmony leading up to Korra time.
To be fair technically Wan made both decisions since Korra IS wan lol. Every Avatar has always been and will always be Wan, since they are all reincarnations of his soul
It's funny how the 3 main watertribe characters are from the South Pole, but have roots in the North Pole Korra with her father Sokka and Katara with their grandmother
Waterbending best exemplifies the course of life; constantly changing and adapting its form as it encounters obstacles and challenges in order to continue its path. With waterbending, offence and defence can easily become one or the other. Bloodbending really freaks me out, especially that awful squishy grinding noise it makes when in use.
I like to believe that the eyes glow because they are the window of the soul, so going in the avatar state shows the unification of the human spirit and light spirit.
I think waterbending is like the most common thing to have the element but waterbending is the most op too because of bloodbending and spiritbending like you know?
the way ATLA made Hama villainous, who was a prisoner of war, and forced her back into the same prison system that kidnapped her from her home has always rubbed me the wrong way :/
@@frdla4124 Yes, she controls innocent people from the village BUT her prime years being in the prison makes her do it. Revenge sometimes makes you feel better.
Who wants to hear voice actors and actor was from Aang, Sokka, Zuko, Suki, Azula, Toph, etc while they are narrating lores about bending, history, technology, and art?
Ama be honest, I still wish we got more of Aang's journey after ending the war, but I guess no one else could best a fully realized avatar Aang back then. P.s. Even just air bender Aang was a hand full to the point he demonstrated why the fire nation had to attack when the comet boost their powers. Otherwise, they couldn't hope to fight the air benders and win.
@@lukastace3154 what about Seismic Sense tho???? If not for Toph, we won't have witnessed its many uses.. From lie detection to locating hidden tunnels & objects
Yeah it makes perfect sense. Humans and spirits shouldn’t have access to each other’s worlds. At least not that easily. Since the human world in tlok is taking place during the industrial revolution, what’s to stop nations from using the spirits as weapons and setting up colonies in the spirit world? Like Kuvira used spirit vines to create a powerful weapon
@@forcecaptainoverlordsuprem2964 I'm not worried for the spirits, I'm worried for the humans. The world of Avatar has just entered its own version of the industrial revolution, it may just be a matter of time until they upset something like Hei Bai, especially considering there is now a third portal right in front of Republic City. I think Korra made a mistake, there's no way that is gonna end well.
funfact; waterbending is the only bending style that has 500 variations based on what the water is in. You dont see earthbenders being called "pebble benders" "Marble benders" "quartz benders" "soil benders"
There is both water and air in our body. If waterbender can control body water by bloodbending. Then airbender should be able control air in our body, especially in our both lungs. Also stomach gas. That makes, water and air most strongest elements. Since they are like everywhere specially air.
I still do not believe that Hama was actually “the first bloodbender.” That was not supported by auxiliary material or Hama’s episode. Hama and Bloodbending was never referred in the same way as Toph and Metalbending.

It's likely the same case as toph hama is can still be the 1st as she's the one who discovered that blood is water or something the show still state that Hama invented it so it's hama
Fun Fact: Senna, Korra’s mother is confirmed as a waterbender and she has never been showing her bending.
