I am only hoping one of his commitments is the virtual concerts so we at least get to see and hear Endlessness done "live" once before he disappears for his sabbatical!
I love this! Such awesome lyrics, told from the perspective of music ❤️ One of my favorites on the album along with Pan, Tribal, Shoemaker and Endlessness 😍
My fav from the whole album is from Nature side Quiet as The Snow, it is just magnificent and second fav is Procession followed by Endlessness. Rest of the songs come on 4th place, can’t really sort them one after another because it depends on my mood which one I feel to listen to.
My favorites have changed, and are changing each time i listen to this record 😁 At first listen Harvest was my least favorite, because it didnt sound nightwish enough, but now i love it. If i had to choose then maybe Procession and Hows the heart, their message is great. I also love the Nature part.
Marko leaving.. ohh boy, thats not good for NW, but i will always follow them, even now i feel a big part of the NW show and sound will be gone, honestly its kind of sucks, but i will stick with the guys..
If you do Noise again, you can check out the album version since it's a bit longer, maybe even sounds better, but of course, no video in that case, maybe do it on your time Also, pretty shocking news with Marko leaving the band, let's hope the virtual concert on March goes well despite that, but I'm pretty concerned about that to be honest, he was essential
It’s great opener and mood setter, and I love the lyrics! My favourite is Pan, without a doubt! It’s pure, condensed Nightwish. Endlessness and Music are the runners up. I have complete faith in these guys, that they will get through the lineup change with Marko leaving, and the band will evolve and adjust again, and come out stronger than ever.
To me, Noise has so much more impact when you listen to it back-to-back with Music and Shoemaker. You have the wonderment and joy of music coming to ancient humanity and all the mystery and delight it brings, then suddenly we're catapulted into the modern age where there is so much distraction that tries to "decoy the human voice." Then you follow that with Shoemaker, a song soaring to the moon and stars, honoring a man who devoted his life to studying the wondrous delights of the natural world. It's brilliant storytelling.

@@wishmaster0390 I personally think that the upcoming concert tour was part of the problem remembering he is a decade older than the rest of the band and touring this year if possible at all is going to be an absolute nightmare with all the different restrictions from country to country especially if you are a depressed and introspective personality type.

And if, did you like it? An other thing, did you hear that yesterday Marco lave Nightwish? Maybe not for ever but it can be, but they say the Tour will come, and Marco say he's fine, don't worry. If you would know more about that read his letter on their channel or site, i don't wrote wrong things here. I'm very tired about that and i really was shocked yesterday in the first moment, i know my feelings well when Tarja leave the band and it feels like that time, but i'm now a little more optimistik, because Floor and Troy. Troy is no Marco, clear. But if Floor would leave the band that would be really a problem. The bass player isn't the problem, Marcos singing is it for me. But we should waite now a little bit and look what live will come. Everybody say when Tarja leave the band that's it. Nightwish is dead, and sometimes i thaught that by myself. Anette did some good songs on the Album, maybe for some people also live, she's a good singer and i want wrote bad things about her, but she had not that power and talent like Floor. Than come Floor. Maybe will be the end of the band, nightwish without Sammi was almost the end of the band in 2001 and Tuomas made century child album one of the most depressive ones, then Tarja 2005.. Tuomas made dark passion play, imaginaerum and the imaginaerum movie to get over of the tarja's departure... Tuomas said that he won't be able to get other break up, maybe nightwish will make the human nature tour and that's it
Someone said that the symbol is a three part symbol taken from different places. The top part meaning Nature. The taller part at the bottom representing Man. The shorter part at the bottom representing Woman. No sure how accurate that is. It's just something I read in comments somewhere else. Which ever it seem to fit the theme of the album.
First off, the symbolism used is what I have heard to be the first known Sumerian symbols for human and nature. Hope that helps and I hope it's true, LOL. Next, I was wondering if Nightwish has influenced you to change your musical interests? I've been into nightwish for a year-and-a-half and they have totally changed my outlook. My background in music is not as heavy as yours is but just as polar opposite as Nightwish. Any thoughts on that?
I would say Nightwish and a couple of others have helped broaden my interests and given me a different perspective as to WHAT IS HEAVY?... Heavy for me has always been about blast beats, trem picking etc. whereas I am now getting a new respect for "emotional" heaviness among other things. Hope that makes sense. Thanks for the question!
