Nemophila are pretty diverse. Oiran is awesome and so is Life, which is completely different, and Monsters is different again, but equally excellent. Their Megitsune cover is great, as are most of them.
They’re very new.

Fantastic double reaction! I love how long it left you speechless. Nemophila is 🔥🔥🔥. Outstanding vocals and musicianship with a healthy dose of fun. I recommend Oiran next then Life for a change of pace (emotional ballad about the birth of the drummer’s baby)

If you listen Maximum the Hormone, another Japanese band, they have a woman drummer badass too. She can play with sticks, sing and scream, headbang so hard and dance so cool.

Because they don't waste their time with relaxing and playing around with alcohol and drugs like a lot of kids in the EU and US do ;)
Leisure time is wasted time in Japanese culture. They often learn instruments/singing/some other artistic pastime at a young age and most students, at least from middle school on, participate in various club activities after school either for fun or to take part in competitions. And when they're done with that at 6 or 7 pm they go home, do their homework and study. Also, Japanese women tend to work harder at what they want to do because otherwise they won't be taken seriously by the male dominated Japanese society.

I really like their cover of The Trooper by Iron Maiden, it rocks pretty hard considering it is a pretty tuff song for Iron Maiden to do themselves. These women did Iron Maiden proud with the cover in my opinion. BTW, who doesnt like Iron Maiden? Am I right!! Band-Maid and Nemophila are my two favorite bands as of late, they are all excellent musicians and really know how to enjoy themselves in the process, so refreshing to see and hear.

Nemophila
Neem-ah-feel-ah (online pronunciation sources all differ on which syllable gets the accent. I've been saying it with the third emphasized as I had seen early, there are a couple of sources with it on the first syllable, and at least one with it on the second, as you said it. )
A genus of flowers with five petals native to North America but well known in Japan; most species are named something like Baby Blue Eyes. Japan has an entire park dedicated to them that turns the hills blue every spring.
Likewise, Nemophila the group has 5 members, who take hard rock and metal music, native to the US and UK, and do something amazing with it.

That vocalist, man, that's the secret sauce. They're phenomenal musicians (as are all the Japanese musicians; anyone who criticizes the pure technical musicianship of these bands coming out of Japan is objectively just a hater), but the attitude and swagger of the vocalist is what really pushes this group to the front of the line.
Thank you for reacting to my favorite band! They are talented on so many levels. Originals like Oiran and Sorai or ballad Life! THey do covers from pop to rock to metal and they just have a great time doing them as they are so versatile that they can play and sing any genre!

Nemophila were founded in 2019. There are a supergroup composed of:
Mary's Blood guitarist Saki
ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu
ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki (also plays with Lisa-X)
ex-Hölderlins bassist Haraguchi-san, and
ex-Soramimi drummer Muratatam (also does other projects)
Initially, they were just a side project, co-organized by Saki and Mayu. They started off posting metal covers of well-known rock, pop and metal songs. Other than Saki, none of them had previously been with a breakout band, despite having amazing chops. Getting these five together did the trick-they are just exploding.

Mayu's gritty, raspy vocals are just too delicious. Of course the clean and the scream vocals are great too, but her raspy vocals are just insanely tasty 🖤🖤🤘🏼🤘🏼

Oh boy...diving into Nemophila...not just once, but twice even. Careful...these ladies will knock you on your ass if you consume too much so quickly. You are certainly in for a treat with these ladies. They are a fairly new group. Individually they all have decent experience from other bands/projects, so this is basically a super group. The original plan for this group was kind of like a...just for fun thing to a degree. But they worked so well together right away, that they decided to stick with it and go further, and here we are, just a couple years later and they are bangin out new originals. They don't have a deep library of originals yet, though i'd say even the handful they do have are all fantastic. They've also done a fair amount of covers while gaining experience with each other...and those are also all fantastic. It also really shows the depth of the band members, especially mayu the lead singer as she basically does just about everything a vocalist could do. Thanks for reacting to them...makes me happy to see more people reacting to them, giving them even just a little more exposure, because they deserve it imo. You're going to have fun with this band. Look forward to more.
Cool reaction, mate! I agree with other guys that you should check "Oiran" next. BUT you are also need to so some justice to the insanely talented all-around band Unlucky Morpheus! Especially with Angreifer Live, Unending Sorceress and batch of the "QUADRATUM" covers like Far Beyond The Sun cover!

Nemophila was formed in 2019, a super band whose members were also in other band. The guitarist on the right is Saki who is in Mary's Blood. Saki is a very famous metal guitarist in Japan, she was a lead guitarist of Destrose back in 2010 (Miho and Haruna of Lovebites were from Destrose too). Recommendation: Oiran.

Have you heard of the band ..Broken By The Scream ? They are a Japanese all girl group that has a metal band backing them ... just like Baby Metal .. They tend to be heavier than BM and their vocalists will throw in low death growls and high screeches .. Anyway most of their songs on RUclips have their Japanese spelling on the titles so it’s almost impossible to figure out song names.. If you hadn’t heard of this band , I’d suggest watching a few of those music vids ... They took me by surprise and now I’m trying to get all the info I can on this band. lol. 🤟🏻

Ha, that reaction was awesome. I used to hate reaction videos, but I guess I don't anymore, 'cos watching them seems to be all I do when I'm not at work, probably because I can't do much else with everything locked down here as usual. Anyway, like others mentioned, Nemophila are new, about a year and a half old, originally a side project by players from former and current bands, and they took an unusual approach to introducing themselves to the world by uploading live-in-studio videos of themselves playing covers every week. Pandemic had a lot to do with that, but the videos kind of blew up because they're amazing, which isn't really surprising when you know who's in the band and their musical backgrounds, especially guitarist Saki and drummer Tamu, who are both very very highly respected. The other three are no slouches either, though they aren't as well known. That is quickly changing. They've managed to work in some originals over time, and have released 3 singles, but no album just yet. Dissension's their heaviest song, Life's their mellowest, and in my opinion those are their two best songs so far, or at least my two favourites, but everything they do's great, so picking favourites is kind of meaningless.
Solid performance. Dissension surprised me by going so J-Rock after a few bars of vocals. Raitei (rai is pronounced more like we'd say rye, as in rye bread, but close enough on tei) was really enjoyable too. A couple of times it did feel like an anime intro though.

Cute dog. Another Japanese female metal band you really need to check out is Hanabie. I recommend "we love sweets" or "reiwa matching generarion" or both of'em 😄✌ And btw, good reaction 👍

I'd say Nemophila reminds me more of necrophilia than a breakfast cereal...and certainly appropriate for a metal band.
I recommend to check band Serenity in Murder and their song The Rule :)
BTW, if you like heavy all female Japanese metal bands, you gotta check out the song "I like sweets" by Hanabie. It is so cool, bizarre, confusing and heavy, all at the same time. Super fun watch!!

Edit: Nemophila is a name of a blue flower. The band consist of metal musicians from different bands so these girls are super group. The singer was a former member from the band Lipstick and one of the guuitarist was a former member of another Japanese metal band, Mary's Blood. They did some great covers as well from Iron Maiden to Kiss to Babymetal.
Man...one of the guitarists was not a member of Mary's Blood.
Saki the shredding Queen is still a member of Mary's Blood ( and some other projects like Amahiru).

Ok.....I am not normally a metal fan....More of a Band Maid and Babymetal.....But leave it to the Japanese girls to absolutely blow me a way
with their technical ability and their ability to have a great chorus. Dissension is probably my fav song so far....but the guitar solo's in this are
spectacular. Also...the singers voice is probably the best female voice I have heard ..especially compared to Lovebites. I did a little research
on this band and it is made up of basically an all star cast of female Japanese metal artist. Saki (guitarist to the right) has been well known for her skill for the last 10 years . Check out Herman Li's interview with her and she if you fall in love like I did !!!!! LoL
May I just add as far as the guitar solos really good in dissension but I think a little better in Raitei
