You're too late, Mover. This movie was already ruined by the director, the screenwriters, and DC Comics.
Void304 not the director hes good
Dc comics don't have any authority over the movies.
it was mainly the writers - CW writer were hired so what do you expect lol
Its ok Deadpool fixed it when he time jumped
The phrase "aileron roll" needs to go on a shirt. No way around it.
*_"Do an aileron roll, Fox!"_*
A sunglass company named one of their frames “airspeed alive”.
Anything is possible 🤷🏾♂️
@@jetBlue_83 at least "Airspeed Alive" is valuable - Aileron rolls just make the audience sick for no purpose.
When are we getting an Independence Day ruin? I neeeeed it.
Seriously. ID4, has more air combat then Topgun.
If there’s anything that Independence Day has taught me, is that the F-18 comes equipped with an onboard drag chute.
we have one from the milsim guys from DCS, Grim Reapers.
I bet Mover will do it, considering that they have USAF, USMC, and USN F-18s... haha
TybrosionMojito probably on the 4th of July I’m guessing
I was part of the rigging and effects krew. We shot most of the hanger and interior scenes in a post Katrina Lakefront Airport. We also did a bunch of diving in the lake @ Madisovile.
One of the best insults I've ever heard, "high speed cheerleader" 🤣
Movies Mover should ruin next:
Hot Shots (I want to see him laugh)
Transformers
Top Gun
Air Force One
Good call on Air Force one!
Will you do "Independence Day" soon? Comment on the tactics and even the President going off to fight the aliens lol.
And drunk ass Randy quaid lol
That's what I'm hoping for
Do a reaction to the Pentagon releasing that UFO video this week.
ID had all too common trope - using A2A weapons to attack city size target. Just like in Godzilla, using MP5s and assault rifles against it. What exactly it was suppose to accomplish?
@@piotrd.4850 Vast amounts of annoyance, nothing more.
Clearly Iceman did the AI, you never leave your wingman!
There use to be a TV series called 'DogFights' on the History Channel, showing actual engagements throughout military history. Some of the stories were pretty amazing stuff. I know there's nothing to "ruin" with reenactments of true stories, but would still love to here your thoughts on an episode or two. I thought it was a great series when it was on. Some of the full episodes are on RUclips.
14:43 Die Hard 4 came out in 2007 and it had a F-35 trying to kill John McClane
Isn't that the one where the F-35 hovers and fights like an attack helicopter?
@@theussmirage yup, in a populated area... under a highway interesection
ruclips.net/video/jsz79bztNJI/видео.html
HOTSHTMAN53 and don’t forget about it’s radio communications being rerouted to the terrorists and them tricking the pilot into thinking that McClane is the bad guy.
@@HOTSHTMAN53 well it did also crash, lol
I forgot his wife was in this!
Do The Final Countdown, Nimitz carrier goes back in time to ww2, f14 footage galore
I remember that one. Forgot its name
Just watched that today lol
You'll notice Mover hasn't touched either of the holy F-14 movies.... yet he's destroyed Iron Eagle... He knows his place well! :D
They weren't married yet in this as far as I remember.
Once again requesting that you take a look at the following:
Red Flag: The Ultimate Game
Dunkirk (the Spitfire scenes)
Blackadder's Basic Flying Training (a clip from the series 4 episode "Private Plane")
Midway as well, the latest big one to come out.
dunkirkkkk
Midway and Dunkirk were great movies
Dunkirk scenes were really good IMO, maybe a little dull, but definitely believable
@@TheTorri98 The crossing shot was ridiculous though. Jerry is at about 45 degrees off (at least) but the Spitfire pilot waits until he's passing the 5 degrees off circle in his sight before he fires. In reality he'd have missed by a mile.
Holy shit. That "nerd guy" was Taika Waititi. Now director and starring in What We Do In The Shadows, Thor Ragnarok, Academy Award Nominated JoJo Rabbit and the upcoming Thor Love and Thunder. What a difference 8 years can make.
I personally worked on GE's new test model turbofan (the exhaust and after burner section) for the F-35 to replace the stock model [F135], set to put out 45,000 lbs of thrust. Either way regardless of engine design, fluid dynamics says you'd need essentially a thrust to weight ratio of ~1.5:1+ at sea level (F-35 currently has a 1.07:1 fully loaded 1.365:1 dry and bare) to be capable of vertical climbing at flight level 45. I ran through the numbers just to get back to you about it, and i can at least tell you that the new engine give it around 1.53:1 dry and bare. So at least theoretically, with the new engine, not the F135 depicted in the movie, running on fumes you *could* be climbing vertical at FL45. Better hope you pooped before you took off though cause every little bit would count.
Can you do the movie sully? The crash and the f4 landing scenes.
I wanna see this too.
There's no reason for him to, considering that movie is based off real events where-as this one is pure hollyweird. Remember, the title is him "ruining" movies, there is nothing to ruin in Sully at least not from an aircraft perspective (the whole NTSB mistreating Sully and questioning his every action was pure fantasy, hollywierd being misleading like always)
Suisfonia agreed and agreed about Hollywood ruining movies. There’s thousands of examples but one that always sticks out to me is Lone Survivor.
Even though Marcus Luttrell advised a lot of the on set stuff for accuracy the producers felt it necessary to have Marcus kill a man with a knife. Marcus has repeatedly stated he has never used an edge weapon to kill a man and found including that scene took away from a somewhat “air quotes inserted” true life encounter.
I wasn't a pilot but I did spend 16 years as a Flight Attendant and could give quite a critique of the F/As in this movie. Also, according to FO Jeff Skyles, there was never a question about Captain Sullenberger's decision of returning to La Garbage , As we called it, or any other airport.
live free or die hard had an imagining of the F35 in it too.
I’m surprised they were flying F-35B’s during this rather than A’s. The cockpit and lift fan door were the biggest give away.
Thicc amy is proud mover
My great grandfather , great grandmother , grandmother , and aunt all worked at Lockheed back in the day
xWHOGAFx have you just found my family? THEY MADE ME?
They were probably there when the sr-71 was being built
xWHOGAFx well then they made my great grandpa :)
@Maroon Aspirant yeah, it’s a pretty cool design
Have to say i really like your saying make them tell you no, its how i got into the air force with a peanut allergy after almost 2 years trying to get a waver when just about everyone around me told me i would never be able to enlist
I'm trying to do the same with the Army, so good to hear it can be done! Congrats
FWIW, 'highball' is railroad slang with numerous meanings, the favorite of which is 'highball the work,' meaning to skip doing what work was assigned to a crew.
“Which kills her, that is sexist”.....🤣🤣
From a baby-boomer perspective this was a fantastic movie. It was what I remember the old cartoons to be updated. You are correct on the tactics of course, and even though the whole world says this movie was terrible, I was very happy with it.
The training scene from The Great Santini would be an interesting one. Got your book btw. Looking forward to reading it while out for surgery the next month.
Two Korean War movies I always love to watch whenever they're on are The Hunters with Robert Mitchum (F-86's) and The Bridges at Toko-ri (F9F's) with William Holden. Perhaps these date me but the flying scenes are as good as anything done in recent movies. Back then, they used models instead of computers but Bridges won an Oscar for its effects. Would love to see a Ruins video for either of these two.
My favorite part of the "hit the brakes and they'll fly right by" cobra nonsense is how they are instantly back to full energy and chasing. Those UCAV must have the best engines every made LOL.
The initial scene from First Man where Neil Armstrong is testing a jet an barely avoids the mountain.
There's nothing too much about it tbh.
from what I got from this the F35's were set up from the start to lose. she wasn't even trying in that dogfight as seen throughout, no fighter pilot would ever fly straight with 2 enemies right on their six unless they had a death wish. I have this movie on DVD and re watching the scene Hal wasn't fired in the end for losing the 35 he ejected from and the 2 drones it was because of the military contract they lost after the drones were shown to have a weakness which had they won the contract actual enemies would have very quickly exploited in actual combat
Next Review: The Scorponok attack scene from Transformers! A-10s, AC-130s, UAVs, what is there not to love?
I fucking love that scene, I don't care how inaccurate it is. LEFT CHEEK LEFT CHEEK!
It looks great, but my one gripe with that scene is the retarded M249 sound that they dubbed in for the magnificent GAU-8 rotary cannon. I cannot and will never understand why it is that movies sell themselves short when it comes to gun sounds.
I want to see him do the scene where Starscream fights a squadron of F-22s
@@mage3690 Laughs in BRRRRRRRRRRRRT ! :D
@@mage3690 I've just seen Mover's review of that scene and that is the EXACT same comment he made.
React to the final battle in Transformers - The Last Knight (2017). Michael Bay decided to throw in F-35's, F-16's, and V-22 Ospreys against flying aliens Independence Day style with a high altitude floating island as a backdrop.
5:53 speaking of Top Gun. When are you gonna review that masterpiece of a documentary?
Now, sir, you know how I feel watching every movie about sailing (with few exceptions like "Wind" with Matthew Modine or "Captain Ron," where sailing scenes were pretty realistic...).
Hollywood gets exactly nothing right about any job or hobby ever. This is because none of the directors have held these jobs, and the screenwriters will try their level best to slip one part the directors any chance they can get. The only thing they come close to replicating accurately on a regular basis is high school. Even that I wouldn't know, because I never went to public school.
Mover: You don't really spend a lot of time above 50.000ft
The Eurofighter doing QRF: *whistling in the backround🙄* Flying at 60.000ft
Couple of three things here.
These two were the test pilots because she was the daughter of the guy who makes the UCAVs and that mans best friend was Ryan Reynolds dad and former test pilot. Dude crashed the plane because he had a panic attack, as you say he should have been able to save it. Three, he was not only fired for this but the entire town that was depending on this contract wanted to lynch him.
This wasn't a good movie but it was better than it's rep. I wanted a sequel just because Mark Strong was so good as Sinestro and he would have been the main villain in a sequel.
Mover: why the other one didn't split
Jester: you always stick to your wingman.
Mover, can you make a short video about the UFO tapes released by the Navy ? Would be awesome to have your thoughts. Anybody agree ?
i think he talks about them in here... not 100% sure.
ruclips.net/video/rxz45GQXLZE/видео.html
@@alaric_3015 good looking out I also noticed that the "new" footage is in fact not new. Not sure why it's being touted as new.
@@alaric_3015 The only other explanation regards UFO's is they're man made. Obviously some phenomena is natural, but the solid objects with intelligent control are either Alien or Human.
@@alaric_3015 We evolved in a universe of trillions upon trillions of galaxies. The odds are in favour that an older life form evolved somewhere else. Science now confirms this.
When Mover says, “RUclips pilots know a lot about this...” my coffee traveled up my nose and I almost suffocated. LMFAO! You crack me up Mover. 👍🏽
He said "U2 pilots"
You single handedly bring down the whole energy level down. 🤣🤣🤣
There are some engines that can core lock after being shut down due to uneven cooling resulting in the thermal contraction of parts with close tolerances. There was a Pinnacle flight that flamed out both engines and there was speculation that core lock could have contributed to them not being able to get a relight, along with a ton of other problems.
From my recollection, they did say in the movie that the drones were designed with the combat restraints that humans are constrained to...
I wish I owned a fighter jet, I’ve been watching this guy fly his MIG 15 low in the CA dessert and it looks so fun.
Yeah, .99 for the box set of your books was a steal. About 6 chapters into the first one. Glad I checked them out from the last video.
Mover! Just ordered the Spectre box set and I can't wait to read it! Continue the great content that thousands know an love, myself included. I'd love to get your thoughts on Ace Combat 7 as it is the front-runner for air combat games currently. Hope you enjoy going through that one!
Hey Mover, great content. Also thoroughly enjoyed your live stream with Mentour Pilot. RIP cows.
Glad you enjoyed it!
"What the Hell is he up to?"
I thought Mover was referring to something his Squadron Commander said to him...possibly frequently. Not realizing that was actually him as an extra.
Mover: It's just one clip
Also Mover: *makes 15 min video*
The first time the guys says, “what is he up to?” you said, “that was my commander”. I assumed you were referring to something your commander would ask himself about you in the aircraft 😂. Obviously you clarified your old commander was an extra, but it still was hilarious. 😁
'High Ball? What kind of call sign is that?'
Hal made the mistake of showering next to his fellow pilots after PT. A rookie error...
I like that Mover refers to the F-35 as Fat Amy
Hope everyone is doing well
Since he did react to one of the Battlefield 3 missions, I wonder how would he react to the Ace Combat games
I wondered this as well, AC 7 would be a good one for him to do
I was going to say this too lol
hes probably going to complain about the a10 dog fighting LUL
I mean, the A10 has gotten an air to air kill before lol

Thank you for your service Mover my Dad was in the Air Force during Korea as flight crew support I really enjoy your videos.
I have read that F-35's aren't great at dog fighting. Love it as always Mover.
You should read these articles from a few years back that were written by some guy with regards to that particular assertion...

Keep these series coming Mover👏🏽
"A lot of people have emailed me about this one, which...I'm not sure why." Some people just want to watch the world burn.
Love your content mover please keep em coming.
Have a few questions tho.
1. The Cobra is just an airshow stunt and to a large part I agree.
But what if you were in a rolling scissors going slower and slower then suddenly the other guy does a cobra. Wouldn't that give him an advantage? I honestly don't know.
2. Fat Amy? I thought the unofficial nickname for the F-35 was Panther.
Anyway....love what you do. Stay safe
Mover!...Opinions/facts on if the Block 3 rollout of the
F/A-18 with (one aspect being) 8.8 thousand pounds more thrust is enough
to fix its sometimes alledged power issues? Also Block 3 In general, where will it sit
overall on the board now??
I just love your sarcasm... thank you for being you!
Please give Fire Birds Wings of the Apache a going over! 👍
Hilarious review as always! Found the Navy Sqn Cmdr part quite amusing :D
Just keep doin' the Mover Ruins Movies like this, mate
The nerd with the glasses vectoring the airborne control for the F35 = Taika Waititi = Voice of Korg (Thor Ragnarok) = Adolf Hitler (Jojo Rabbit) :)
Long awaited video..
My cousin was a test pilot on the 35 project. He said the 35 flew like a school bus compared to the 16.
The real stars of that scene were the UCAVs IMO. Joined wing + polyhedral main wing design caught my eye right away. I couldn't see very much of them but they looked very cool.
React to more movies! You have no idea how entertaining this is to watch!
5:38 at this point the F-35 program has so many issues I believe not even a single drone is required to take one down.
What? The F-35 is doing fine. The F-16 was crashing at a rate of 1 every 10 days and it still turned out fine.
Whenever I see in movies someone's HUD and locking target procedure, I just hear...: "Think Russian".
Die Hard 4.0 aka Live Free or Die Hard. F35 vs truck. You should check that one out if you want a laugh. Love what you do.
Mover ever thought of doing standup comedy. You have great comedic timing.
that drone reminds me of every Ace Combat's giant drone spamming superweapon
I just realized that the nerd at the screen is Taika Watiti (director of Thor 3 and 4). That's hilarious.
I'd like to see you discuss the F35 scene from Live Free or Die Hard
“Because you never, ever leave your wingman!”
When I saw this movie, I thought: "What are they trying to do? Shoot each other down by playing tag? Why didn't you shoot them from a distance with missiles? How couldn't you shoot them with cannons?"
4:39 Best sentence ever spoken by humankind.
I think the indicator on the right was supposed to be altitude above ground level, and the indicator at the bottom was altitude above sea level. Since they were always 100-300 apart with the bottom value as the higher of the two.
The Vietnam war was supposedly the end of dogfighting, but the Air Force decided to add a gun to the F4 in the later years. Now the F-35 has a gun, but like the F-22, it's really supposed to just shoot missiles from long range. Here we are juking back and forth like we're dogfighting UCAVs.
Die Hard 4 was the first movie I remember seeing the F-35, and that scene was ridiculous I think you will love it.
Unfortunately, in the Green Lantern Universe, missiles only have a 20 foot range. They are forced to get right up behind the enemy plane before they can fire their AIMless-9zero missiles.
The "nerd" in this movie is New Zealand director and actor Taika Waititi.
There was an F-35B in the movie "Live Free or Die Hard" with Bruce Willis.
Best thing about this movie is the fantastic casting and performance of Mike Strong as Sinestro
Great live chat today!
In the classic online game World of Warplanes pulling vertical to do a tail slide stall and punching the power once you get control is as funny and as great as it should be, just a game but still fun.
“Bozosphere”
That’s hilarious!
Hollywood never gets it right, but the 1989 movie "Always" is pretty close. The opening scene with a Catalina scooping up water from a lake and the two fishermen in the small boat is legendary. I and a friend watched the movie and everything was great until the pilot, who was flying a Bellanca Decathlon, flipped some switches in preparation for landing. My friend leaned over to me and whispered: - He switched off the magnetos!
I would love to see you do a review of the F-35 scene from Live Free or Die Hard and/or a review of Independance Day.
I'm loving this segment by the way. Fantastic work.
I was waiting for this
See, with that vertical climb I think they forgot that the F-35 was the Lightning II, not the real lighting, the one and only English Electric lightning! That'd do well in that vertical climb (though, to be completely fair, I suspect holding the vertical all the way up to 50K would be pushing it even for the EE lightning)
I think the F-35 was named after both the English Electric Lightning and the P-38 Lightning, because the US and the UK were the primary contributors to the project, with the UK contributing not only a lot of the funding but also about 15% to 20% of the technology to the plane, as well as some of the test pilots.
Possibly, though I'm not sure it was intentionally named after either, originally they wanted it to be called "Lightning" and had to add the "2" after it was pointed out to them that both the US and UK had already had a lightning
This movie doesnt need Mover to ruin it
C.W., Can you do Die Hard 2 regarding airport traffic lingo and also Die Hard 4 about the accuracy when they fool the F35 pilot into attacking McClane? Thanks.
Did I miss when he explained how a power ring really worked or is it a part 2 video? He didn't even bring out his blue ring(blue is the color of sarcasm)
You knew the designations of every single aerial vehicle in that hangar and then you called the small vehicle a "smart golf cart" 🤣
Pretty sure that's a Polaris G.E.M short-range electric, civilian/commercial, low speed utility vehicle...
Possibly the E2 but I don't know what year.
You really gotta do Area 88. It's an animation from 1985 but it has *so* many dogfights.
We just wanna see you fry shitty movies that involve aircraft. That shit is refreshing . What you do or did takes skill, so to see you debunk it is a real treat.
I guess if may be possible to flameout at 0 airspeed at 50k. If you've lost your engine though you've lost all your generator powered electronics as well as flight controls. He'd have to start whatever fat amy has for an apu which may or may not start at that altitude while his couple minutes of battery life ticks away. So if he loses all electrical it's totally possible to lose the aircraft I guess
I wanna see Mover make a Mover Ruins Movies about the Iron Man 1 F-22 Raptor scene.
This is one of my favorite RUclips series
man you are destroying Hollywood.
People might stop watching movies after seeing your videos...
Again a good video to watch.
The Final Countdown. Watched it when I was a kid and was in love with the F14. Still have a 1/48 scale model of the F14 jolly roger.
Would love to see a mover ruins movies of flight of the intruder. Also I think a reaction/breakdown of the f-14 shoot down of the 2 Libyan migs would be interesting.
So he upgraded from squid to Air Force. Good on him. Guess which branch I served in.
There was a USMC F-35B in Die Hard 4, of all places. Also just for a single scene. Don't remember the date but definitely before 2011, so old they used the older design lift-rotor opening, that IIRC only the first couple of prototypes had...
