  • This project was introduced for the purpose of harvesting the kinetic energy using raindrops for electricity production. This device harvests a green energy from water droplets (rain drop) with a piezoelectric sensor. Utilization of piezoelectric sensor, the piezoelectric will converts mechanical energy into electrical energy that can be supplied to a load directly

What is the maximum current and voltage it can produce?

But that rain simulation part (pump and acrylic casing) confuses. So it is supposed water comes from roof runs down the piping into the upper part, drops through the holes onto each piezo element and then runs off the incline away from them. But for actuall rain there have to be filtering to prevent clogging of holes and some inflow regulation to have no overflow of top part of harvesting unit or even bursting by pressure maybe. But would it not be more efficient to use just a turbine and an ordinary dynamo machine? This sensor - a single one - makes more sense for sensing the start of rainfall. Maybe calculating the terminal velocity of a drop with its mass to get the height from where it fell out of sky.

    absolutely beautiful engineering

    That will never work efficient.
A piezzo generates 0.02w. You need 400 piezzo to power a single led. Power output has to be 50% higher than 2w for a single led.
What you are doing there is charging batteries from a dc transformer.
    I know piezzo very well.
To charge a battery pack from 3-4 cells you need more 4000 pcs piezzo colecting rain water.

Because you are using a water pump 10w.....there is no chance to have any electricity left in the batteries. You have to power the leds from the mains
