Thank you so much. My 65 Mustang is my only car. The carb. works, but it does need a rebuild. I'm afraid to start work on the carb. and not have it done by a day I may need the car. Please make more. You have no idea how much anxiety this video removes from me. Thank you again.
Hey Mike I just rebuilt a autolite 1100 . I had problems with flooding but got that issue taken care of. Now I am having problems with it stalling out when I take the choke off. It is a manual choke and have to choke it to get it started but when I go to open choke it stalls. Any suggestions? It is a manual choke and does not have 2 diaphrams
I have this carb on my 62 Falcon 144, but at part throttle/cruising speed it struggles and doesn't really want to go. The head was ported, big valves and it has long tube headers, guessing I need to increase the jet size? At idle its very responsive to snap throttle and super smooth, but when you start driving it just feels very sluggish.
We don't sell any 1100 or 1101 carburetors. The only new one out there are Chinese and they aren't very good. Here is the kit: www.carburetor-parts.com/autolite-1100-carburetor-rebuild-kits Thanks Mike
Hello. I have a 1960 f250 with a 1100 carb on it and manual choke. My carb only has one diaphragm on right side. I am looking into replacing the carb but can only find the 1100 with 2 diaphragms on it. Do you know if that will work on my truck since it has a manual transmission. Thank you for your time

8:05 I cheated the rebush on my 41 Plymouth throttle shaft. I cut a groove in the throttle shaft and put in an oring, worked great.
I like that!
This is great stuff! Thanks. I have the exact same model and will be rebuilding soon. Anxiously waiting for part 2!
Came here just for info on how to pull apart the exact bit you skip over at the very end

Thanks for the video
No part 2?

Do you have a part 2 for the tear-down? Is there something that comes out from under the main jet? If so, mine is stuck.

Mr Mike I just bought the same carb and seems like the linkage is backwards is something the you can show me how to reverse it please Sir!!
My old one has no provision for spark control valve ..new one came with it installed.. also new one has extra through hole at vac port
The spark valve was eventually built inside the carburetor.
Trying to reach out to you to buy the 1101 one carburetor having no success please advise

Also would it be a better option to go back with the original 1904 that came on the truck. The engine is a 223.
Okay thank you. I appreciate it.
just wondering what the white substance is in the center of the carb...almost like ceramic or plastic?
It's the plastic venturi. There were three different sizes; for the 144 motor, the 170 and later 200, and the early 200.
Why did you start with the double pumper and finish with a single.
