Love anything bacon. I make bacon wrapped tater tots. Just cut raw bacon into about 1/3, and wrap around a semi-thawed tater tot and secure with a toothpick. Place wrapped tots on a baking sheet with a lip on it and place in a 350 degrees F preheated oven. Bake until bacon is crisp and the tot is cooked through. I usually serve with side dishes of bbq sauce and ranch dressing.
Hi Angie, I read your comment and I pretty much do the same thing now if you wanna kick it up a notch defrost your tater tots as many as your gonna use, cut the tots in half and place a piece of xsharp cheddar or whatever cheese you like cut to fit the tator tot then place both halves back together, wrap with half strip of bacon and roll in brown sugar bake as usual. I promise you that you won't be disappointed!!! Merry Christmas 🎄
Our family loves an appetizer that we have enjoyed for years. The ingredients are dates that have had the seeds removed, pecan halves, thin sliced bacon. To assemble the dish, find the opening on each date and place a pecan half in each one. Once all are stuffed with the pecan halves, cut a strip of bacon either in half or in thirds. Your choice as to how much bacon you wrap the dates in. Make sure the bacon goes completely around the date at least one time. Fasten with a toothpick if you need to. Place on a silicone mat that covers a cookie sheet so grease is collected and drained from the bacon. Bake at 350 degrees until bacon is browned and crisp looking. Remove from oven, let cool, and remove the toothpicks. Store in an airtight container. Before serving you can reheat in a microwave, just watch them so they don't burn.
Omg thank you for this!! There’s this tapas restaurant we go to that has “bacon wrapped dates” no matter who I go there with, we ALWAYS get “the dates.” They’re just like your recipe- some kind of nut stuffed in a date then wrapped in bacon. Never thought about making them myself, I’m sooo doing that. The restaurant drizzles some kind of reduction over them and tops them with a little blue cheese crumbles. I’ll have to come up with something similar
OMG!! Really don't know which one I want to try first... I like taking different things to parties.. Then We all get to try something new That we wouldn't ordinarily make . Thanks.. 👍😁👍😁
Making ALL of these for my Christmas gathering!! I have made something similar to the bacon wrapped pineapple! Used chicken pieces instead of pineapple! I just LOVE the way you do all your recipes!! I check your site everyday!!!! I hope you never stop!!
These all look amazing! 💓 The funny thing is I spent last week looking for appetizer recipes. 🧐 What's even funnier is I had forgotten about my own creation that I sent you.🤦 But now I have even more recipes! 🤗 Since I go to physical therapy twice a week, I've been taking them different cakes and brownies. ☺️ But since we had Thanksgiving last week I was thinking about something lighter. And that's when I started looking for appetizer recipes. 😉 Especially since most of us ended up eating way too much last week. 😏 And now I have even more things to try to keep it on the lighter side. 😋 Another thing I realized while looking for these recipes is how our family started having a lot of appetizers at Christmas. Most people go to a number of relative's houses for Christmas and it's easier and better to eat lighter than do what we did at Thanksgiving. 😐 So as always Catherine, your timing is impeccable! 🤗 Thanks for sharing another great video! 🥰
I have made a lot of these because of some of your old videos and OMG!!! We LOVE them!! I can't wait to cook for the extended family this year! Thank you for sharing!!
Your husband’s favorite rye bread, velvets and sausage I have made for years and the grandparents were polish and I have only known them as Polish Mistakes. Make as appetizers every holiday and get togethers.
I'm trying to decide which is my favorite, heck I have decided all of them yummy. Thank you for sharing your amazing appetizer Catherine have a blessed day stay safe and healthy. 🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤
I think I want each and every one of them thank you for a good array of appetizers some were the a little similar to what I make and some were quite different
Those little sweet peppers my son Noah cuts them in half takes out the seeds and scoops whipped cream cheese with chopped up honey ham and chives mixed up together!!!! ❤ so yummy 😋
Catherine, you always make delicious food look so easy to assemble and make. I haven't tried the appetizers yet, but am sure every one of them is delicious. Thank you for your calming, specific directions for making the recipes you present! Joanne
Catherine you have the patience of Job. So many of these look so good. I want to try several next time my neighbors come for dinner and snacks and a movie.... definitely will do a few....lol... Merry Christmas everyone. Let's all cook to get our minds off other stuff...🤗❤️🎄
All look so yummy! I will for certain make a couple for this coming Thanksgiving! Please let me know where you purchased that little cheese grater - it is perfect! Thank you so much for your time in answering...
I have trouble combining the ingredients so I started using the food processor to combine the dough. Works great. I also use 1/2 hot sausage in 1/2 mild.
Our family favorites are Buffalo chicken dip with chips, beer bbq glazed kielbasa, tomato and mozzarella on baguettes, spinach dip in a bread bowl. I’m looking forward to trying the sausage balls and stuffed mini peppers! I also want to find a recipe for an appetizer that uses crab or clams. Thanks for the great ideas!
Hi Catherine, I have tried so many of your recipes. Everything is always delicious! You are such a joy to watch, too(; Thank you for all of your yummy meals & great ideas!

Oh man, sausage balls are my absolute favorite! I use a recipe that uses cream cheese in it, though, so they are never dried out. Yum!! I bet my hubby would love that olive cheese dip, I'll have to give that one a try.
Catherine all of your recipes . Are very simple and easy to make . Thanks for sharing each one of them . The sausage balls and pimento cheese . Would be my pick . You and family . Have a beautiful day .
Hi Catherine, Here at home, we like to stuff 1/4 of a pecan into a whole pitted date and wrap that with 1/2 a slice of bacon, secure with a toothpick and bake as you did the pineapple. Now that's another bite of candy too. 😉
The asparagus, sausage balls and the bacon wrapped pineapple...actually, they all look delicious!!! Love your recipes and demonstrations on cooking! 🎄⛄❄💙❣
Our family favorite is called nuts and bolts, otherwise known as Chex Party Mix. We double the spices though to give it extra flavor. I also sprinkle a little extra garlic salt over the top while it’s cooking.
All I can say is Yum. I Love them all I've made all of them except for the crackers with bacon. The recipe I made used chocolate chip morsels in place of the bacon. So I'll definitely try it your way. I love the sausage balls the best. Thanks for sharing. Love From your longtime Indiana Friend.

Hi Catherine. Love all the recipes. I do a similar olive cheese dip...I'll have to send you the recipe! I was wondering if you could put a link to your rotary grater or give the name of it? I looked at your store, but didn't see it there. Thanks!
Hey Catherine. Loved the video, as usual. I was wondering if you could do a video of holiday appetizers or meals to make during the holidays or anytime that are lactose/dairy free, or that you could use the dairy/lactose alternatives. Alot of my family (including me) are lactose intolerant & feel kinda left out. Thank you for all the care, thought, time & effort you put into your videos. It really shows.💞
@@CatherinesPlates the bacon wrapped pineapple is already on the list, thank you very much.😊 But, isn't the texture or consistency going to suffer, or possibly it doesn't thicken up like the half & half or whole milk in therecipes do? I know it won't be exactly the same, but I'd like it to be a close 2nd, or even a 3rd. I've always been so afraid to try. I was thinking on the sweet peppers, could I use ricotta cheese or greek yogurt? I'm just grasping here. You're the pro, you can let me know what to do & I'll try it.💞
My favorite would probably be the bacon crack and the pineapple bacon wraps. Those two would never make it to the serving plate! I'm at the tale end of Covid and my appetite has come back. You're making me very hungry, Catherine!!

Thanks for all the great ideas! My favorite, which you might want to try, is bacon wrapped pitted dates. Yummy! Of course, wrap anything in bacon and it will probably be good.
I like the hard salami slice spread with plain or vegy flavored cream cheese and rolled around a green onion or a dill pickle spear. Or the crescent roll vegy pizza squares.
Just the fact someone takes time to make some appetizers is just the coolest SO I'll try sumthin thank u
