Yummy Catherine, I remember when I was maybe 10 years old I found a recipe for porcupine meatballs and wanted to make it for the family. I was so proud of myself but the rice wasn't cooked enough so we e had crunchy meatballs and my Father ate them anyways and said they were good. Lol I have since perfected them. Thanks for sharing your recipes Catherine. 🙂❤️
Yum! I have a recipe that's very similar to the first one...the difference is you add one jar of chili sauce and one jar of grape jelly to the meatballs and slow cook 6 hours in the crock pot...YUUUUUUMMM!!!
Oh my goodness! My mom used to make the grape jelly with a jar of BBQ! And it was soooo yummy! I was thinking the same thing! But I love these recipes! I've got about 20 of her recipes on my phone! She's good! Isn't she!?!?
I make two versions that use the ingredients listed here and in Catherine’s version. Both are excellent. 1st recipe: combine 1 cup of yellow mustard (French’s) with 1 cup of grape jelly. Add a bag of meatballs or a pkg of Little Smokies. Cook in crockpot on low for 3-4 hrs. 2nd recipe: Combine one can of cranberry sauce(whole berry or the jellied kind) with one jar of chili sauce. Pour over one bag of meatballs or a pkg of Little Smokies and cook on low in crockpot for 4 hours, 6 hours if meatballs are uncooked. Both of these recipes make delicious appetizers. The mustard/grape jelly one is my family’s favorite.
Thank you for sharing Catherine have a blessed evening stay safe and healthy. Love all the recipes especially the meatballs with the cranberry sauce yummy. 🙏❤💜❤🙏
😊Catherine, we really enjoy watching your video’s. We love the great recipes that are less time consuming. We also love crock pot meals that are easy for upper 80’s people and are so delicious. So from Kingsport, Tennessee, God Bless and we’ll keep watching.
Everything looks fantastic and definitely delicious looking. Makes me so hungry, I’m still up making a few sides to take over to my granddaughter’s tomorrow,I’m riding with my daughter and son-in-law. I called her about an hour ago, she’s still up making desserts. Love your channel, I don’t cook to often any more, I eat a lot of home made soup and sandwiches, I’ve enjoyed you so much, Hope y’all have a Wonderful Easter with your family, that’s the time of the year. I never seen so many wonderful tecipes in one video. I can't wait to try the meatball, pineapple bits and BBQ sauce recipe in the crock pot. You ate so wonderful Catherine. Thank you for these delightful recipes. 😊
All your recipes are delicious, but I think I'd have to double up on the ingredients for all of them cuz I'd have family that would want some (and of course my neighbor -always have to give him a taste of everything). It's just 2 of us here but I never know if company will come and smell your delicious food and want it. Also I always make sure there's plenty for my man to take to work for lunch. Thank you for all your delicious recipes. You've helped me out with a lot of recipes that I never tried cuz I didn't have any help. Your recipes and videos helped me tremendously I am so grateful for that. Thank you again Catherine ❤️. You and your family have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎄🎁🥂🍾
Hawaiian Meatballs look so delicious and easy! I will be making those for sure! Great tip for draining grease in a foil bowl! Love it! Meatball sandwiches can be enjoyed as well with any of these recipes!
What a wonderful array of meatballs Catherine! 😍 I'm like you, swedish meatballs are my all time favorite! 😘 But all of the recipes look amazing! A great flavor for whatever mood you're in! 😋 Thanks for sharing all these incredible recipes! 🥰
I have to make all of these. I absolutely love my chopper like you have. I use the small grate the most for onions and peppers. Gotta have that butter. ❤I made the bugles with the white chocolate and M&M’s . They’re delicious. Then I just covered the bugles with white chocolate and a few with just chocolate. Super good. 🇺🇸♥️
Oh my goodness! They all look amazing! I can't decide which to make first! That trick with the noodles in the pan is a home run. Brilliant as always. Thank you!
So many incredible recipes! Gonna start making and freezing in individual meal containers. Can’t decide which to make first! Thank you for giving us such great recipes as usual!
In my crockpot right now is frozen meatballs, pineapple tidbits and Sweet Baby Rays bbq sauce!! But.......I didn't pay attention to the recipe, my fault, and I only got an 18oz bottle of bbq sauce, so I mixed a little bit of spaghetti sauce in it, and also added some bell peppers. Am gonna serve it over rice. Tasted the sauce and you can't even taste spaghetti sauce at all. I cannot wait!!! Thanks Catherine, your the best! 🤩🤤❤
I've been making porcupines in tomato soup, cooked in the oven, for years. The only reason I've stopped is because I lost my husband and son who were my best appreciators!. My friend makes hers in mushroom soup. Love your homestyle cooking. Keep up the great work!

My family loves meatballs a lot! I never knew there were so many different ways of making them. Looks so yummy! Btw Cathrine, if I haven't already told you, my kids and I made your recipe for Enchiritos! Omg so very good! As a matter of fact, my daughter said they tasted just like what you'd get from an Authentic Mexican Restaurant if not better! I agreed with her! We added some Spanish rice inside ours which made them just as delicious! We are adding that recipe into ghe rotstion of dinners.
I am reading some of your Emails, do you still have the KETO cook books ? I’m interested) plus I may need one of your cookbooks for my granddaughter. She has some of my mothers recipes , and loves to bake.Thank you so much for sharing with us. God Bless♥️
Thank you, these look like great recipes! For the meatballs you make from scratch, can they all be frozen and then heated in a crockpot with the corresponding sauce? We go to monthly pot lucks and I'm always looking for something I can prep ahead.
My meatball recipe is a crockpot recipe you cook on low 3-4 hours. I lg bag frozen meatballs, 17 oz blackberry jam, 17 oz grape jelly, 1 tablespoon dried minced onion, 1 teaspoon dried chili flakes 😋
Love your recipes but I 'd really like to know is where you got the black gloves. That's the one thing that I hate is mixing the hamburger meat with my hands. Watch you all the time.
Can I use the meatballs in a bag and not make my own when you make the Swedish meatballs. Sorry but I'm lazy but I have to take care if my home and watch grandkids to
I have the recipe for Dr. Pepper meat balls that are just as good if not better. BUT I can't eat ANY beef in ANY form because of Gout. So everything I make with chicken or turkey. Guess what, I can't stand the smell sometimes of beef. Growing up in my teenage years Dad would have steaks on the grill, ribs and chicken. But he loved more beef meals. We ate what was made NOT WHAT WE WANTED. These kids today are just spoiled rotten. But, anyway will try the other ones in turkey first, my favorite, and then chicken, or maybe Mild Italian Sausage.

What brand pots & pans do you use?
I really like my Ecowin pots that I currently have, for the older videos I think I had T-fal.
Thank you, these look like great recipes! For the meatballs you make from scratch, can they all be frozen and then heated in a crockpot with the corresponding sauce? We go to monthly pot lucks and I'm always looking for something I can prep ahead.
Yes, you can freeze them.
@@CatherinesPlates thank you
Haven’t made porcupine meatballs in years.
If I was your neighbor I would be at your door with plate in hand everyday 😁🍽️
LOL! You would be welcome everyday.
My meatball recipe is a crockpot recipe you cook on low 3-4 hours. I lg bag frozen meatballs, 17 oz blackberry jam, 17 oz grape jelly, 1 tablespoon dried minced onion, 1 teaspoon dried chili flakes 😋
Try making Mississippi meatballs, like . Just the roast just thicken with cornstarch if you want the sauce thicker when the meatballs are done. Enjoy
Gonna try them all. Looks so yummy
I wish you were my neighbor, I'd happily help with any leftovers. 😁
Put them on rice potatoes pasta and BISCUITS for the win
I don't like to bite into pieces of onion so I always put them in the microwave for a few minutes before I add them to meatballs or meatloaf.
Technical term : slosh around 😁
I’m glad I found your recipes this is going to be my next menu so easy simple not a lot of spices to combine .Good combo for the cabbage .❤
The watery stuff in the mustard is unofficially called “musquirt”!
I didn't know that.
Hand roll. Ole school
can i use frozen meatballs for swedish meatballs ?
Yes.
I was going to ask if someone doesn't like ketchup can they use 57 sauce instead but I like the BBQ idea better.
I'm sure you can use Heinz 57 or any other steak sauce! BBQ, Buffalo and Sweet Chili sauce would be good too!
Love your recipes but I 'd really like to know is where you got the black gloves. That's the one thing that I hate is mixing the hamburger meat with my hands. Watch you all the time.
I got them from Amazon, you can find the link in my Amazon store here. www.amazon.com/shop/catherinesplates
Can I order your recipe books outside of subscribing to blurb?
At this time, the only way to get my cookbooks is through Blurb.

Teriyaki meatballs with green onion
Over basmati
❤❤❤❤❤🤗👋
Which one was your favorite? They all look good
The Swedish Meatballs were my favorite.
the first recipe leave lid off for majority of time it will make the sauce thicker
The meatballs were frozen?
Some were and some I made. just depends on which recipe you're referring too.
Can I use the meatballs in a bag and not make my own when you make the Swedish meatballs. Sorry but I'm lazy but I have to take care if my home and watch grandkids to
Yes, you can.
Can’t imagine tomato soup tastes better than tomato sauce or ketchup can’t imagine using tomato soup
You can use what you like, we like the tomato soup.
I have the recipe for Dr. Pepper meat balls that are just as good if not better. BUT I can't eat ANY beef in ANY form because of Gout. So everything I make with chicken or turkey.
