The prolific genius, PG Wodehouse, helped me survive the Covid isolation. Now he's my go-to for sweet, soothing sleepy bedtime stories. And Nick is a great narrator, lively, animated, and faithful to the art of clear e n u n c i a t i o n .
In this most peculiar time of worldwide gigantic effort to squash the effects of the tiny virus cell, forget it for a while, sit back and enjoy Bertie recounting his particular problems of the day.
Hi nick you and Martin jarvis are the only two voice actors I can listen to at night cos you take it slow, everyone else is too highly strung, I can feel their nervous energy and I can't sleep! Also your voices for the different characters are amazing. I'm really glad I found you
I’ve listened to any and all Wodehouse ! I’m especially fond of Jonathan Cecil and Nick Martin. I can’t tolerate listening to the incredible writing of Wodehouse w/o the i flawless British persuasion. Thank you so much.🇺🇸
Bless your dear heart , this certainly helps us oldies in quarantine ! There's only so much 'news' I can bear to listen to at present . Thanks for doing your bit to save our sanity 👍🏼❤️👵🏼😽
Thank you for all the kind thoughts and comments above, from all of you. My messaging is slightly wonky at the moment - to use Aunt Dahlia's expression! Feel free to use the email address on my About page - plenty of time at the moment! Also, I have recently come across a marvelous jazz band from New Orleans that make a great vintage sound, probably more Bertie than Jeeves' thing, called Tuba Skinny. If you like that sort of thing, try I Get The Blues on RUclips. I'm hooked!

In times of madness, and we are in greater madness now, enter and emerse yourself in the refuge that is the safe, kind and humorous world of PG Wodehouse. Read beautifully by Nick.
Wooster drives me nuts but I think I’m addicted to P.G. Wodehouse none the less. And then there’s ever unflappable Jeeves to calm me down along w/ the rest of the cast of characters!
This is the second story read by you that i've listened to,and this is the second(and final) comment from me,you are an excellent "voice actor"thanks so much!
WD as always! Tysm for helping to make this time alil easier. I am most relieved to hear from you! I've been concerned for all our YT kin. Sending Prayers & well wishes to one & all!
A beautifully-crafted story, brilliantly read. Much chortling on my part at Bertie's antics and at the marvellous voices. I have others lined-up on my listening list.
I am transported to Aunt Dehlia's bedroom where dog and man are simultaneously startled and the fun begins. I'm noting choice descriptive quotes to call upon at the right moment. Wouldn't be near as enjoyable, though, were it not for the magical voice of Mr. Martin.
It feels like you are not even reading but living every part! You do it better than professional actors, very talented work! Thank you for every added story, I am your loyal subscriber:) Please read “No Wedding Bells for Bingo” when you have time❤
Oh my God, we get to see the genesis of that mythical article Bertie wrote for Aunt Dahlia! I had no idea there was a Jeeves story that actually covered its inception lol

It was not meant in any way to be competitive with the great narrators that you name. But thanks for even considering it for a moment.
I don't know how one person can do so many different parts, and so well. You are such a treat to listen to, Nick.

To be put in the same box as Martin Jarvis must be the highest praise! Thank you. More will be coming down the pipe before too long.
Ditto!
I totally agree. He reminds me of Martin Jarvis too, especially reading the Just William stories

A delight, as all your readings of P G WODEHOUSE are. I am running out of superlativeswith which to express my gratitude!
Wow, what substantial boost to Jeeves savings account! Go Jeeves! Thank you for another wonderfully read story, Mr. Martin. Take care.
I think Jeeves on the whole has a very pleasant life and yes, also does alright for himself. Well deserved though! Cheers

What’s the name of that next story please?
Dear boy, I believe that "legendary article" might possibly be a closer descriptor than "mythical" 😊

Good stuff. Not Cecil, but very good.
Much better than Cecil in my opinion. I can’t listen to Cecil at all, too monotonous. But to each their own!

Better than, in my op.

Who is Nick Martin? Definitely not the best Wodehouse reader. Ian Carmichael is the best, then Jonathan Cecil, then Martin Jarvis, then everyone else.

@@Trickynickymarts something “half presentable”? 109% of P.G.Wodehouse is presentable.
Nick Martin is also MORE THAN presentable. What you have accomplished, Nick, is deeply appreciated. So glad you are doing you.
Thanks Gail!
Nick Martin is doing this free and is doing a fantastic job of reading and making available so many Wodehouse stories. Thank you Nick!
