You are doing a corking job with these short tales, Nick. Have been listening to them, now and then, here and there, night or day, and having a good time. Good for the bean. You agree? Cheeri-O! Pip! Pip! Toodleoo!
i dont mean to be offtopic but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account..? I somehow lost the password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
I'm Canadian but I lived for nine years in three widely dispersed U.S. states. Your accents are just fine AFAI am concerned. Even if they may be off they give an interesting idea of what Brits think US Americans sound like. I had fun trying to learn to sound like a native West Virginian. It took two years before I could say "y'all" without the class going silent and staring at me. (BTW, the plural is "all y'all"). No relevance to your fine readings, of course
“Read it again, Rocky Old top!” (aluding to Old Rocky Top, Tennessee). “She looked at him as if he were something the dog dragged in to bury later!” (New Yorkers) eat for six, drink for ten! They dance the St Vidas’ Dance!!!!” Brilliant!!! I killed myself laughing. Thank You. Rock Mattella, Great name !!!
Fabulous! Your voice-acting for P. G. Wodehouse's stories are just perfect regardless of which side of the pond they're from, and I truly look forward to each one you bless us with! (Jimmy Monday! Oh my, and that was a great allusion to the renowned evangelist of the time period, Billy Sunday.)
I thought your yankee accent was not bad, although I'm alil baffled as to what part of the US Roc was raised..? ha-ha! I thought it vwd as always! Thanking you!
As one of your listeners across the pond, I thought the accents were delightful. I live in north Florida, about an hour away from the Alabama state line. My mother's family are from Alabama and the Aunt's accent made me think she was from the south. Great job, as always, Mr. Martin!
As I’ve said before, your readings are brilliant - I just love your Wodehouse and I’ve been ‘marathoning’ since yesterday.. it’s so fantastic when when I find a really good reader!! :) But, for a second there I thought I was hearing a regular American accent, but it soon was apparent that it was a southern one. It seems many English actors just cannot do a normal American accent and do a southern one. It is really funny to hear characters from New York, or the Midwest, or California speaking with a southern accent. 😁🤣🌷🌱
I was imagining in my head Jeeves just like Woodhouse in Archer ( for those who don't know, Archer is a comic serie, on netflix) but I thought it was just in my head. Today I searched and I found out that Woodhouse in archer is actually named by PG Wodehouse! Very interesting. Loved your audiobook! It will help me a lot in my essay today in my English class.
That American accent, I had to work on it. I never thought Illinois sounded like that. Then I thought of Mark Twain. Yup, close enough. I’ve never heard it myself and I lived 11 yrs in Wichita KS but it did sound like Mark Twain. Lol. Such fun.
Common language, and perforce, a common form of stupidity. Snivelers and jerks, in possession of nothing short of the notion that there is always something very wrong, and at so low a price. Great work. Thanks.
What a life😉going from nanny to valet to help you dress eat & generally take care of you. Wodehouse takes a hilarious look at the “Idle Rich”who often were rumoured to not be sharpest tools in the box,due to far to many cousins marrying👍😉 “What O”nothing wrong with that!🤥👍😂😂
II cannot understand how Nick Martin has got away with saying "bought" instead of "brought" in all these recordings. Is there no editor? Or do Americans not know the difference?
Riddled with mispronunciations of all sorts of words from Latin tags to celebrity names of the day e.g. "Ed Wyan" instead of "Ed Wynn", and on and on. Why is there never a voice Director on these productions?
Nick Martin captures Woodhouse’s voice perfectly. Thanks
Nick Martin has a great way of doing the voices, most excellent old chap.
Excellent rendition, old bean. First class.

Oh excellent, yes i jolly well do agree. Thankyou
Thanks so much.Very entertaining . Belly laughs often!
"I got dressed, somehow." 😆😆
Yes, remarkable what one can achieve when pushed.
💌 to you for these Wodehouse stories , they make me happy 😁
That's great, thanks happy Debby
Thank you, great reading ! So grateful for all the inflections you create., choice and style. Wonderful !!
Thanks Amanda

Thank you Nick Martin!!! 💕
Dude! The accent was really good. The emphasis on the pronunciations was excellent, and that is what makes the accent. Bravo!
Ah that's good, thank you!

You do magic with Wodehouse, my imagination could never have done the intonations of these characters justice as your voice does.
Listened to this yet again and I must Jeeves that your a top man! Thank you sir.
Perfection ✨🌟✨👌🏼
Thank you!

Really like the style uou read it and accents. You just have a good balance to enjoy it without over emphasis . Perfect i enjoy hearing them again!
Oh , what bliss , I've just decided to have an extra hour in bed , with Jeeves ! ❤️
Hope he's not a snorer!
Trickynicky Marts and Minnie Rose
I'll take a chance with the snoring ! ( I'm sure it will most definitely be of the subdued variety ) 😴
Good idea! 😄
@@Trickynickymarts Was Christine planning on sleeping that extra hour? :0
For listeners across the pond, apologies in advance for the attempted accents, but the words and story are still as wonderfully amusing, as ever.

Haha! I did warn you first! He had a nasty attack of lazyitis and it left him with a very odd voice forever more!
@@Trickynickymarts Ha-ha! You're awesome, Tricky Nicky!
Always entertaining when American accents are attempted! 😅 I'm sure American's attempts at UK accents are equally cringe-worthy!
Pinky's on the button there holly! Ha!
YAY, new video. i love 'em
Great
Brilliant loved
It thanks.

Thank you Rosemary - that is very encouraging to hear and pleased you enjoyed it.
Thank you !!

It is so fenomenal! Still is!
Phenomenal. Not an "F" word, my dear. FFS.

I know, plenty of scope for improvement! Thanks for joining the fun side.
Thank you
I love this ❤
I enjoyed the story and the reading very much. In the description, though, Bertram is misspelled as "Bertrum".
Oh dear, well spotted. I'll see if it will let me change it. Thank you
:-) thank you!
Cheers
Rummy story I do say.
Ha! Precisely

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
By the way, Trickynicky, It is "BERTRAM WOOSTER" not "Bertrum".
No No, wrong, wrong, it is precisely 'Bertrum', or more particularly 'Bertrm'.
Rocky ? Horrid dream ? Wodehouse was Dr. Frank-N-Furter ?

"Far TOO many cousins" not "far to". "What ho!" not "what o".
I love these readings, but all the American accents, even the New Yorkers, sound like Texans.😁

It is the remnants of an unfortunate lifelong speech impediment. Not as bad as it was but as you point out, still annoyingly present.
Perfly intersting and enjoyable x
How on earth would he have picked up a southern accent? I can't listen.
Riddled with mispronunciations of all sorts of words from Latin tags to celebrity names of the day e.g. "Ed Wyan" instead of "Ed Wynn", and on and on. Why is there never a voice Director on these productions?
Umm
There is always one. 🥸. So did it spoil the story? I think not.
