Huzzah! A new Jeeves and Wooster story from Lord Nick! I was beginning to think something unfortunate had happened to you, old thing. Topping, simply topping!
I was not thinking "unfortunate," but more along the lines of Nick's being snatched up to an exclusive contract with Audible and then we would have to pay for this fun and enjoyment (not that he wouldn't be worth double the price).
Yay, hooray & hoorah! So glad to hear from ya Nick! Hope all is well with you & yours! This was perfection as usual! My grin hurts from the huge goofy smile plastered on my face throughout! Even your Yank was great, although slightly more Dixie than New Yorker, but imo that made it all the better! Absolutely top hole what! TYSM as always my dear! 👏👍😍
Ooohhhh!! I can’t wait to listen to this with my client. He has the Wodehouse collection, and I’ve come to adore the Jeeves stories. You are by far the very best reader 😉 we’ve heard. Thank you, thank you!
So excited to find a new story from you when I logged on! Your great Jeeves and Wooster narrations are my bedtime stories every night and I know them all almost off by heart now. Lovely to have a new one. Thanks so much 😀
What ho Lord “M”! Let us all wear purple socks, pip pip :). Delightful read, enjoyed every word. Many thanks to YOU and Jeeves! Cheers my friend! julie
I need to skip reading other's comments. This world is full of critics, who's goal seems to be the spoiling of the pleasure of performance. No one is born perfectly able to entertain. It takes trying, practice and mercy, not to say kindness, don't you know. Very few of them have the courage to put their creations out in the world for other critics to enjoy cutting to ribbons. Keep up the good work. I enjoy your narrations. I'll probably be criticized for it.😉😀
My dad was in the US Army Airforce in WW2 at a British base in Egypt. They allowed him in the British officer's club even though he was a Sargent. He had great stories and jokes in this King's English.
Yay! You're back, sir! To share with you a good news, my first baby boy is now almost three months old. I enjoy listening to your stories with my baby ☺️
Welcome back! You've been missed. But, I say, I'm wondering if there's any DNA connection between Trickynicky and our local British Columbia grizzly bears. They both seem to be coming out of hibernation at the same time.
I have a question not quite sure I understand the term rummy all that well period does translate into what is harshit or bad news or something not nice? Forgive me I only speak Chicago land American, I can absorb proper English, when necessary
In this context I see it to mean strange, curious or odd. In some parts of England its used as a twinkly way to describe someone as a rum'un which is all of that but in a colourful, roguish, in the main harmless characterful way. Maybe introduce it to fellow Chicagoions?
32:04 Shi’ - nec - taydy!!!! We check on the pronunciations of English cities, etc. Don’t you think they should check on ours?? Chalmondelly (sp?) is Chumly. Well, Shi’ - nec - tady, which is absolutely and totally ridiculous 🤣 is really ski - neck’ - tehdy ( i as in its.) Schenectady is in New York State. :) ☀️💙🌷🌱😊
Once again, too many mispronunciations have crept in. "Noblesse oblige" is almost right until an extra syllable is tacked on. Then there was "injurous". No such word exists. It is "INJURIOUS" - 4 syllables. And so it goes. No voice director can be perceived in any of these attempts by Nick Martin.
I'm guessing that Nick is not able to afford the voice director and probably uses his "profits" to buy himself a cup of tea every now and then. It's not the criticism, but the tone...
Couldn't disagree more. Could not stop laughing - he makes every word hilarious. His delivery could not be funnier! He's brilliant, and I always thought every mispronounced word in all of his readings were absolutely part of the comedy; it shows Bertie's naivete, despite being so worldly. Bravo Mr. Martin! I love you❤
These are the best readings of Nerves and Wooster EVER ! You are obviously totally uneducated in the settings of PD James books .......can I my assume You are either under 40 or not British
Pheew! You are back!! Absolutely fabulous as ever. Thank you so much
Thank you for the story I love the performance thank you for your time and putting a smile on my face 😊
I really do appreciate reading your very kind and supportive comments. Thank you all very much!
Please please upload some more, I love them

So so so happy you've posted again. Thank you thank you thank you. Brilliant.
Delightful! An entertaining stand-off between frightful child and frightful Bassington-Bassington, the whole thing satisfyingly engineered.
When Bertie thought..
I found myself warming to this child...I almost rolled out of bed and giggled without control for some time: pure bliss
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks !
I really enjoy your readings of these hilarious stories! Purple socks ftw! What a treat ☺️☺️ thank you from Singapore!

Wonderful reading! Small point about 'noblesse oblige' at 16:03: the second word is pronounced 'obleej'.
Obleejay is the French pronunciation. Bertie may well have said it this way.
❤

Aunts Aren't Gentlemen and Aunt Agatha is the worst. ( chews broken glass, B Wooster)
What is the word they keep calling people ? "cove"? oh just another word for thing or person😅
@@jillsy2815Exactly so. As in 'He's a good cove'.
Did Richard sort out the rug ordering for you?
Yes! Thank you! I just finished ordering! I have a brother named Richard as well! How funny!! Thank you to you both! 🤗🤗🙏🏽💕
@@jillsy2815 Goodo - warm nights ahead!
You are an avid listener to Wodehouse! Thank you.
"Cove" is originally thieves cant dating back to the 16th century.
In this context it means 'bloke', a sort upper class slang.

Shen ec tAY dy is another.
Another Wooster and Jeeves spoiled by Nick Martin's overly dramatic reading.
Idea; don't listen.
Couldn't disagree more. Could not stop laughing - he makes every word hilarious. His delivery could not be funnier! Matter of opinion, old chap. I love Nicks narrations! 💯🤩

Quite bluntly you are clueless !
These are the best readings of Jeeves and Wooster EVER !
AUNT AGATHA - not "Agather"". FFS.
It is precisely 'Agather'. FFS.
A great voice but so many mispronounced words detract from the credibility.
I notice them, but find them quite amusing. I enjoy all Nick's readings. Jonathan Cecil is unmatched, but Nick is close up.
I suggest that you stick to reading the stories.
