The A350-1000 makes perfect sense for PAL. I also hope they get a new business class.
It does but for PR they're up against the Hong Kongers who have them too. Ask Hong Kongers/Taiwanese on this A35K debate they'll side with their version better than PAL version
I have flown with Philippine Airlines...my partner is Filipino and I had a great and smooth experience with them. I flew just after the country reopened to travellers in April of 2022.
Im Indonesian, and i think PAL is pretty good since their meal and aircraft collection are amazing, the route is CGK-MNL-HND
PAL doesn't have an A320neo. They only have A321neo, 2 of them are SR variant with ACF Configuration.

Yeehaw!
@@stephenjacobs5640 You obviously didn't notice that this is an aviation channel Einstein
I think they have a a320neo
@@Gaviations nope, they don't. I'm a planespotter, I've seen all of their A321neo units, the only Filipino carrier that has A320neo is Cebu Pacific.
Excellent information as usual !!
I want to see B777-9 & B777-8 for Pal. Would be an awesome replacement for their current B777-300ER fleet.
Not yet. The 777-300ERs aren’t that old. They average around 6-7 years old I think.
777 were bought when PAL seeks more 747. The Boeing salesteam urged them to buy 777 instead. PAL before was restricted thus buying US planes and security equipment would improve US access.
@@picklerick_404 Their 777-300ERs are around 12 - 13 years old.
@alphonse8429 newer ones belong to the airline directly you can see this on the Builder plate F6 Boeing Corporation customer code for Philippine Airlines leased version 6N GEAS Older batch.
Philippine Airlines needs a new livery
I used to fly a lot (from childhood to university) with PAL until my father's mileage points ran out. I only had good experiences with them. These days I fly with them only on some occasions as Cebu Pacific is cheaper.
I’ve flown with PAL a long time ago (together with my relatives), starting in 2015. After that, I haven’t flown that airline again (because together with my relatives, I’ve flown mostly other Airlines like Cebu Pacific) until my upcoming airtrip to Manila & Clark, Pampanga on 4-day trip (May-30-June 02, 2023).
Also, I’m too young to remember that I’ve flew with PAL during my early childhood, just according to my aunt.
Too bad they lost 4 A350's in bankruptcy proceedings, .
May take some time to get their widebody fleet up and running again....
Probably flying the 777's for longer than expected until they can implement fleet renewal plans for future needs !! .
Those 777s are so dang old and tired. The ones I flew in last year felt like an old city bus. They’re given no time to rest , given they lost those 4 350s. For the trip I just got back from I wasn’t going to go through that again , and flew ANA instead to MNL. Way better.
News actually says they filed section 11 to protect them from full bankruptcy and NOW they are set for profitable years which is why they are considering buying the 350-1000's
@@mrgreatwesternrailwayprodu4680
Sorry, but how do you mean ?
PAL has NO orders in for those aircraft . If I’m wrong in that intel, please share a link to correct me.
It takes several years to fulfill an order .
I’ve not flown with PAL for ages. Unless they open a Manila-Madrid route, I will be contented with my current airline.
With oil prices rising again, I wouldn't pop out the champagne too quickly.
Good news. I hope Philippine Air Lines achieves its preeminence in the region and become one of the world’s top global airline in five to ten years especially with the opening of large airports in Manila in the years ahead. mabuhay!
I hope PAL also will do Malaga or Madrid to Manila. That'd be a great thing to do. Please PAL, do Spain-Manila route!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree! I am based here in Calle De Alcala. I really wanted to take PAL everytime I go to the 🇵🇭. After all, Philippines was under the Spaniard colony for more than 300years!
There’s heaps of Filo communities here in España. Most of them, u wont even detect as Filipino coz they mixed & look more of español already.
That can work and this forces PR to compete with Oneworld alliance IB & CX MNL-HKG-MAD-AGP. Keep in mind IB partner CX does offer a better service than PR
Please discuss the Garuda Indonesia airline fleet ❤
Yesssssss! soar high again!
I just flew PAL two months ago and will be flying again with PAL tomorrow at around 18:05, excited again😅
I recently flew PAL from SIN to SYD via MNL. A very good service all round. Hope they invest some money in lounge upgrade... that was the only downside.
How was the transit in Mnl ?
Heard soo many horror stories...
@Michel PL actually a pleasant experience overall. Amenities at MNL were poor... upgrades at airport lounge needed and food offerings were sad. For the price I paid it was fair. I guess you get what you pay for!
Yes i have flowen on PAL in 2018 while visting my grandma's province on a airbus a330
God bless you po
Is this big news?? where is their "new" long haul airplanes. wish they would stop canceling flights to Calif(us), after flying "Planes always late" (PAL) to the Philippines for sixteen years, will be flying Eva airways this year
Philippine Airlines never operates an A320neo, just only A321neo
I have flown Phil.Airlines from Toronto-Manila and I was surprised they have free complimentary used of WiFi, FA's are friendly and food is great.
how much of a delay did you have??
@@WRic86 we are on time, but the A350-900 had a 15 minutes deicing as it was snowing during my flight
Would love to see PAL fly from Manchester UK not simply Heathrow. After all Manchester is the middle of the UK so many Filipino in England, Wales and Scotland would find it less hassle than having to go all the way to a busy London which now charges for parking and even driving into the Greater London area with their ULEZ (low emissions) fees.
I do really hope PAL will get those A350-1000, at least. I miss the days where this airliner had 747-400's. I'll be even more amazed if they will also get an A380.
They won't be getting a 380
I don't think an A380 is possible for them to have. Remember, the A380s stopped production nearly 2 years. And it's not economical
Ninoy aquino can’t fit an a380
@@letsgotoe2toe wrong!!!
@@letsgotoe2toe That's not true. EK has flown the 380 to MNL and it's a large maintenance base for the 380 for LH group. The airline just doesn't need nor could afford to operate the aircraft. They just got out of BK, so don't need to make a bad move.
Hope to be flying with them to visit family in Winter 😁
I love PAL than the other local airline, but the reason I do not take PAL with foreign destinations within Asia is that they are just using the smaller aircraft A321. I hope soon they would use bigger one for Singapore, Taipei, Hong-Kong, Korea, Japan, etc.
They don't have enough "bigger aircraft" to use on those routes.
before that....there is this huge issue right now with the local immigration officers asking for your yearbook, marriage papers and all other papers and the very long and slow lines at the airport....
I have flown PAL before as I'm a Filipino, however nowadays, I mainly take Cebu Pacific because of ticket prices.
PAL has been relatively cheap lately. I booked a couple of flights with PAL lately as they were actually cheaper than CebPac.
@@MiracleWinchester What do you mean? Cheap prices literally cause every CebPac flight to be full.
Whenever I fly domestically there I use Cebu pacific as well. When I come from Canada I usually come via Japan but there is a direct flight from Vancouver to MNL with Philippines airlines. I might try that next time.
@@aidanzacharyguzman1676 Me and my friends prefer flying PAL going back home for holidays because CebPac is way more expensive plus their baggage allowance is lower than PAL.
cheap prices,
cheap aircraft maintenance
good luck.
I've never flown with them but we'll see.
I have flown their old 747s back in the 90s'
yes from manila to riyadh
Yes I did
PAL is amazing i did routes from guam to manila
I took PAL in January 2021 flying to Riyadh A330 old aircraft there's no in-flight entertainment. All PAL flight bound to middle has no in-flight entertainment that the sad thing i hope they will consider to upgrade some of its fleet especially the middle east bound
I love how you asked “Have you flown with Philippine Airlines before” yes! And NEVER AGAIN. Flew directly from MNL - SFO and it was a God awful experience. For a Very high fare? I expect a Nice cabin. But that wasn’t the case.
Flown that route many of times, this year(june) using EVA airlines (MNL is a dump)
Can you add Manila - Orlando route via Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii and California?
I have flown it once
YES! BACK SEPTEMBER 2014
I’ve found many problems with this airline,
The EMPLOYEES ARE THE BEST.
I don’t like the low quality of the inside of the cabin, it makes me thank if what I can see what’s going on with what I can’t see
Hope they get it together soon
I've flown Philippine airlines many times, both domestic and long haul. Thier cabin crew have always been really courteous and helpful. I can't wait for them to reinstate the Manila-London route. A direct flight to visit my family in the UK would be fantastic.
Hopefully they bring back the London-Manila Flight. And hopefully someday with their a350-1000 wishful thinking
It's about time. . .PAL CAN COMPETE WITH THE BEST OF THEM. .
That profit ended up being $379 million so congrats to PAL!
PAL needs to add flights to North America. There are far too many Filipinos living in Toronto but can only fly nonstop with PAL for only once a week. If one will fly from Toronto to Manila on their chosen date, they need to book a domestic flight to Vancouver first before riding a PAL aircraft to Manila. That's why most Filipinos book Korean Air/JAL instead, they don't mind the stop because of pricing and flight availability. I don't know, maybe it just boils down to aircraft economics.
Pal doesnt have a320 neos
yes i have flown with them in 2019 in a 777 - 300er pr118 and pr119 it was a super nice flight ....but this year they were asking close to 3 time the price as 2019....so sorry but i used another carrier to bring me in phillipines for 2/3 the price philippines airline was asking.....same plane different logo for 1/3 off ....they better sharpen their pencil if they want me back as a customer...
Is it restarting Manila to London.
Iam a Marco Polo . Flown with them lots of time . Food not the best , London to Manila.
Need to upgrade fleet for north America route - b777 is so old …
I hope DR. Lucio Tan
Wishes an order for the 777-9X
Maybe it will arrive in 2025
But it's more efficient in fuel burn than the A350-1000
But if they can't wait they an Order the A350-1000
But there is no fleet commonality in The Airbus A350 because the two A350-900 are a minority compared to the 777-300ER.
Which has 10
I'm aware with Boeing's issues not to mention, but they are a big commodity than the Airbus A350-1000 which is available but with less seats than the 777-9X
Your comment about A350-1000, you are lucky, because PAL announce delivered by 4th Quarter of 2025 until 2027 of A350-1000
Philippine airlines has no a320in there fleet there is only a321neo but they also planned to purchase the a350k b779x b787
They should buy B787-8.
Right capacity ac to add flights to NA and EU.
PAL doesnt have an A320NEO
Proud 🇵🇭 people here❤️
I been flown with Philippine Airlines, I'm excited to see the fleet enchanced and new aircraft in the future❤️
PAL considering the 777-9 replacing their older 777s and the A330-900 replacing their older A330s. For their other routes like those going to the Middle East replacing their older airplanes with 787s. There's always good opportuniites for the future of the airline generating revenue. A350-1000 would be cool for ultra long haul flights.
787's, no way
You saying of 777-9, well, it is the future aircraft once completed of New Manila International Airport in Bulacan
PAL is by far worst airline in the world that is not ulcc. It's so bad that the only thing that differentiates it from ULCC is its pricing.
Philippines airlines doesn’t have the Airbus A320 Neo
The font they use for the black lettering of "Philippines" looks like it was created with MS Word. So tacky, I hope they can at least use the "It's more fun in the Philippines" font or update it with more character somehow.
There's one immediate reason why PAL is pulling out all of planes out of storage:
As of this writing (April 4) the Holy Week travel rush is underway. Now remember, the Philippines is a predominantly Christian country, and its dominant Christian denomination is the Roman Catholic Church. From noontime of Holy Wednesday to Easter Sunday, its public holidays, so families take advantage of this by traveling to the provinces to be with their families or to go to popular tourist spots, and quite many also take overseas vacations as well. Its an all planes on deck operation and its the busiest time for all Philippine-based airlines, outside the Christmas season.
But it's only three of their smaller aircraft, not going to help that much
Cabin is in poor condition as well service is poor CGK-MNL-CGK
Philippine Airlines has an A320neo?
There is no A320neo of PAL, PAL still operating of A321neo
3:11 have u flown Phlippine airlines before??? yes.. better than cebupacific
They should clean their aircraft cabins first 😂😂😂
I hope PAL get some 787
PAL seems to be going for an all Airbus fleet, so it is more likely that they will order the A330neo.
@@heidirabenau511 yeah I just realized that after their fleet lf somes boeing like 747, they don't acquire more of boeing again. But they have 777,right?
@@beluga8769 Yes. But they might replace the 777 with A350's. I wonder if the 737 Max and 777x will be a part of the future plan.

PAL = Plane Always Late. 😂
Talaga ba? Di mas lalong late ang Cebu Pacific 🤭
Are you sure? Cebu Pacific has more delays and cancellations many many time than PAL
they should improve that dull livery as well
I don't think so. For its main customer base, the Filipino people, it evokes "home". The livery is designed so that people would be focused not on the body, but the logo on the tailplane.
Livery? It is still ok. Simple yet elegant 🙄
