Standing Pilates for Seniors Live! 30 Minutes of Balance, Strength and Knee Pain Relief Exercises

  • Join me for a 30 Minute standing pilates workout for Seniors 65+ looking for a fresh approach to fitness and wellbeing. This session includes Pilates for Very Painful Knees using a chair so have a chair handy. Whether you are new to fitness or simply new to fitness in your 6o's this is for you. Based on my Pilates certification in working with older adults I have created a session with exercises to help combat loss of strength, coordination and balance that can come with age but and this is important It doesn't have to be that way. Doing these exercises regularly will improve all these things so I am recommending you build up to doing this workout at least three times a week. Take your time and do what you can, if anything is too challenging for you right now, don't worry, just rest and come back and try again when you're ready.

    Just loved this! i so appreciate the knee workouts as i'm having tracking issues. Would love to see a couple of 10 minute chair videos like the end of this that those of us with knee problems could easily incorporate into the day. Thank you for ALL you do!!

    Finally made time to catch up with this session. I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been poorly Rachel, but pleased you’re on the mend. Your holiday experiences looked incredible, I must go back to hear more about your trip!
    This session was So good & exactly what I was needing, it certainly hit all the right spots. I’m pleased to say, after working with many of your sessions, I am now able to achieve the arms in prayer position & raising over the head, I really struggled at first. So feel quite proud.
    I also really enjoyed the chair exercises, as I really need to strengthen my knee muscles & it helped my lower back & hips.
    I’m 70 yrs old next week 😮& thanks to your exercises I feel so much better than I would without them. For many years I had regular Osteopathic sessions, which I no longer have, I rely on Pilates. Which helps me so much.
    Thank you Rachel, good to have you back. I haven’t managed to find or use your playlist, I must check it out after my trip to London next week. Xx

    I only just watched and did this workout, as I was sick too, 2 weeks ago. I didn't know you were ill, but I'm glad you're feeling better!
    I have been neglecting myself and not exercising recently since my regular classes stopped for the summer and it's so hot here (32-36°!) I don't feel like moving too much. Now I will try to be more consistent and follow your sessions. You are wonderful and helped me all through Covid.

    Fabulous, especially those standing side stretches, really helped me visualize my lungs filling on inhale, and pelvic floor lifting on exhale! I love to watch you until I’ve got the muscle memory to rely on, then shut my eyes to complete a couple sets. Really internalizes the movement, cement the muscle memory- it’s almost meditative!🧘🏻‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️thank you for such a glorious start to my week, you’re the best medicine!😊❤ so glad you’re back and feeling better, this session is a new favorite 😍.
