- Join me for a Full Body Standing Pilates Workout that is safe for Osteoporosis and Osteopoenia.This workout will strengthen your legs, glute and back muscles, improve your balance and give you great posture. I would recommend this pilates workout to anyone wanting to get a good full body workout, but I have created it with women and men in mind who may have Osteoporosis or Osteopoenia and are looking for a good workout to improve their strength, fitness and wellbeing in an appropriate way for their condition.

Hi Rachel. I enjoyed that. 72 y/o, used to be very active, then developed a mobility issue, some combo of sciatica/arthritis. Been working with a PT for months, still in a lot of pain. I look for videos to supplement my home exercise program. I like your slow, gentle approach. Bookmarked this page, will explore your other videos.

Hello there, of course. I vary according to my teaching schedule as I teach live classes also, so for me I go between 4 hours on a busy day to 20 minutes on a Saturday when I’m just moving to get the body feeling less stiff. My recommendation is to aim for daily exercise of at least 20 minutes and then increase it to an hour 3 times a week whilst still doing your daily 20 minutes. Hope that helps 😊

Rachel, you are a gem am so glad I found you. I am an 84 year “young” female who can’t keep up with the a lot of the other exercise videos because they just move too fast or do moves that are too difficult anymore. Thank you, Rachel. When I was diagnosed with osteoporosis I became afraid of movement which only made things worse. Your standing exercises have gotten me moving again and feeling so much better. I appreciate the caution you take and the precision of the movements which is so important.

That felt amazing, thank you so much! I am recovering from a severe dose of Covid and haven’t moved much lately so this class felt great. It was the perfect length and it’s made my back and arms feel much less tight. I can’t wait until I’m back to full fitness to complete all the classes I’ve missed 🤒👍🏼
Thanks Rachel. I try to do one of your standing sessions 4/5 times a week, and really feel the benefit. I had a mastectomy and reconstruction at the same time 10 years ago, and find your upper body stretching exercises really keep the stiffness at bay. Thanks again. Linda in Spain.

This video is great for that with the open arm movements. Have you seen my Covid video? There’s some lovely stretches in there for the upper body too 😘

Dear Rachel,thanku so much,you are a great teacher! Can u pls tell me why people with osteoperosis suffer with stiff mid back ? So do i have this problem but from when i was very young.I ALSO DO A LOT OF MID BACK STRENGTHENING WOROUTS.REALLY ENJOYED THIS STANDING OSTEOPINA WORKOUT!
I'm a great fan - but could you offer a short session for "less young" but fit (80 yrs) people like me with really poor coordination - I just can't do anything where legs and arms have to move in opposite directions! maybe something sitting down?
i can put one toe down at a time only if I start with the pinky toes on each foot and it is easier with my right foot.
