None of those vehicles you mentioned would rent in North Scottsdale. I rent a 22 Mercedes GLC, 23 C300, 23 BMW X3-40i, and a 21 Jaguar F-Type Convertible. They are rarely home and bring in 55% above the note. If you have a Land Rover Velar in your fleet up here you bring in $1800 per month at 50% utilization.
I'm very curious on your thoughts and experience on renting out a 201x Toyota Prius. Very slow depreciation (2015 is $15k min), it appears to be highly desirable in some markets due to the mpg and space, and expected maintenance is straightforward. Definitely riskier as its not in the
I'm abt to put a 15 Prius on. Tomorrow I do windshield rock chip repair. Bought tires today and oil change. It's my personal car, barely use it so I might throw it on commercial policy later. But yeah, we'll see how it goes. 3rd car on the fleet.
Oh boy…..Max….so green. The last two model vehicles they don’t even make anymore. Lot of recall issues Max didn’t touch on with all these models. Maintenance…nightmare on every model. If you don’t have the resources in place and set up to maintain this list of vehicles I would say this is the worst list of vehicles to obtain for any rental platform
Initially, I thought this was a ridiculous reply but now, I assume you’re thinking “car rental means new cars”. If so, you have to take into account Max and some other hosts on RUclips are in non-rust belt areas so these cars will last longer . A +8yr old car will still be ok. Also, he is speaking from his experience. He didn’t have maintenance nightmares with these. Finally, he makes it very clear, it’s not about the list of specific cars but the market in your area. Recalls? They can’t be listed on Turo w/ recalls. Worst list? Nah. It’s similar to other hosts. I’d go with their experience vs hypothetical. Max is “Green”? He has more experience than most so I’d say he’s…more of a blue gray. Take care!
That was really helpful.
Thanks for the video!

The first 30 seconds of the video addresses that. " Depends on your market. "
What's the Turo ap research tool again?

What’s the best process or data source to use when doing market research before buying cars for your fleet?

They good but replacing the hybrid battery or the brake pump are surprisingly pricey

Be careful with that Fiat 500 or be handy with a wrench. Most US mechanics won’t touch them.
