Thank you for the thorough review of the R3. I noticed that you had the rear camera attached to a suction mount as well. Could you please share which suction mount was used for the rear camera in this video?
Happy to help! But... I honestly used a gopro mount for the video purposes and some tape to keep it attached. That wouldn't be a long term solution. Sorry!
@TechnicallyJeff ...Thank you for clarifying. I recently purchased the R2 Pro during Prime Day, but your video helped sell me on the R3, and I will be sending the R2 Pro back. Especially love the option of a rear camera. Thanks again for the super-detailed video.
Great video just purchased....when looking at the videos the dash cam recorded, the play back speed is fast is there a way to slow down the actual speed to watch the videos normal
@@TechnicallyJeff I'm a 76 year old looking into buying this item. And I really need the video to be this length. Please don't forget the older generation.
Yeah personally I'm not a fan of the wiring. That's why I have the Fitcamx that looks OEM with no wires. But you can hide the majority of them to be honest.

Purchased this model based on your review so thank you for the in depth detailed review.
I'm glad it was helpful!

Yeah the R2 is nice but the R3 is a great all around unit. I'm glad the video helped. Enjoy it!
It's time to clean the rear window. Thanks for showing the detail traffic video day and night.
Haha yes it is. And I'm happy to help!

Hmm are you viewing them in the app?
Hi. Does the camera power on when you plug it directly into a USB port in the car rather than use the USB power adapter?
Hi yes it does.
Jeff, Why when I'm driving it shows "0" mph and not displaying the actual speed ?
Hmm do you have the GPS functionality disabled?
@@TechnicallyJeff no its all activated. Its so odd.
Hmm I'm not sure. You went through all the settings?
@@TechnicallyJeff I will chat with Rove customer care. I feel the GPS is not working 😏
Let me know what they say!
Your R3 is much better focused than mine, but nothing is clearer than my Stealth 4K.
Oh yeah? Interesting. And yeah 4k is better.
This looks like a great dash cam.
Yeah it's a great all around dash cam setup with lots of features
@@TechnicallyJeff can the cabin facing cam be rotated to compensate for different windshield angles if you want to use the adhesive mount?
Good question. It does not rotate. That said, it is a pretty wide FOV so it's probably not needed in the vast majority of vehicles.
Do you like it better than the VIOFO A139 PRO? TY I SUBSCRIBED
Thanks for subscribing. Both of them are really solid options. This one looks like it can be had for a better price though.
This is the third video that I have watched regarding the r3. It goes too slow and the camera recording is too far away to show the screen of the cam.
Thanks for the feedback
Early view with YT mandating 360p. "these license plates are easy to view!" Yeah.... if only YT co-operated :)
Haha yeah processing takes a little bit on a 35 minute video (I can't believe this video is that long... I need to speed things up 😅)

This is a great dash cam to get.
Where did you buy rove r3 model 2023 . .
What link?

all that wiring is the deal breaker for me!! Just spoils the look of the car
