After making my 2D skp drawing into a group. Had trouble tracing the walls and then erasing the "unnecessary edges" as the group would disappear. After several attemps, I realized to pay attention to the "edit group" mode. Apparently if there is a dotted line around the group, I'm in edit group mode. Otherwise...I'm not sure what's happening when I'm tracing/erasing.
Thanks for the great video! It was very helpful, especially the technique of making door and window openings. Amazing! And I have a question. Is it just my case or tagging is no more available in free SketchUp?
So i was currently watching a sketchup pro 2019 video and theres a command i just could not relate with sketchup pro 2022....the imput is a linear dimension but he types it like 30X2 i just cant relate
9:18 This is totally me 😭😭 I've always felt frustrated when it comes to making openings on walls! I've never thought of using the measuring tape so efficiently. Thank you for the great tutorial! You have saved me in my architecture school

Glad you were able to figure out how getting in and out of Edit Group mode affects what geometry you are editing.

Take a screenshot of your PDF and then you can import it as an image file.

How did you select all the walls?
You can triple-click on an edge or face of the wall and it will select all connected geometry.
