- ( www.TFLcar.com ) The 2014 Range Rover Sport is a an amazing vehicle in that it combines extreme off-road capability with a plush and comfy highway ride. These are two ends of a very diverse spectrum. But just how capable is the 2014 Range Rover Sport off-road. Nathan decided to find our when he took this latest and newest Range Rover into the Colorado Ricky Mountains.

Nathan does the best automotive reviews on this channel. It's honest, real, relaxed and relatable.
I love it when Nathan is by himself during reviews. He always appears to know more about the vehicle, and they feel more professional.
Good review Nathan! I recently purchased a CPO 2014 out in San Diego and drove it to Colorado Springs this past weekend...great road trip vehicle! The lights actually move with the steering wheel making driving at night that much more relaxing. I've been in the military for 10 years and my wife is a very successful sales women at a jewelry store. Haters can hate all they want on owners of these vehicles. They are great trucks and I look forward to the next 5 years of ownership with mine.
With Roman missing in action, somewhere in the Czech Republic, Nathan has really come into his own. An absolutely cracking review; fast, entertaining and nicely modulated. And your clothes weren't dirty !!!!!!!!! ;-)))
Yay, a real review instead of that fast lane track crap!
My sister just got one, love driving it!
Your solo reviews are the best videos on this channel. Roman ruins a lot of your show and you can tell he has no idea
I looove the way Nathan reviews cars but please can TFL make sure that Nathan's clothes are clean. He has the soul we just need to see him clean up a bit.
Gay 🔝
Not gay he's just particular
Awesome review thanks! Where in NJ is that trail?
Nathan, great review. How about a shits n giggles comparison between this and the cherokee trailhawk. I'd like to see which has more utility and better offload performance.
I don't trust the reliability of land rovers. Nice vehicles though.
that is why one should prefer to lease it instead of buying.
A Jaguar 3 litre engine from the F Type?
I hope they bring the plug in version across the pond.
Its has 10.4 inch of clearance from the differential ? If so thats good
Nd the full size range rover is an inch higher .... So 11.4 ....
Can you do a review on the Toyota highlander
Thank You for this video. I followed You and Your link TFL Car on Twitter too. More I like this color very much. The Metallic Grey is my one of Favourite colors. And I like its price. You told that it is just 73.000 USD. And this total price equals to a Fiat Jeep car in my Country. If this Range Rovers Price is 73.000.
How does it compare to the new Porsche Macan?
Sorry, but there is no way Nathan had those same tires on snow, and had them working ok. Those are summer only Michelin Latitude Sports, which are basically Pilot Sport PS2's in a truck size.
Americans are the only ones who pronounce aluminium like that
looks like my 2nd gen ford escape has more space in the back. I think if I had to buy a land rover, I would go for LR2 or LR4 when they come out with new body types.
I would love to see how this compared with the Porsche Macan S since they are both in the same price range and about the same HP (in v6 guise). Porsche keeps saying that their Macan is just as capable (expect for water fording)
Macan is smaller than Range Rover Sport.
I know but people shopping around might check out both cars since the Macan S would be in their "budget"...then again if you have that kind of money, it probably wouldn't mater much to you. I personally would prefer the RRS over the PMS for the utility and off road prowess (if i had the money)
mywingchunsucks RRS is also much more plush/posh inside compared to metallic, cold Macan.
yeah def more roomy and dare I say "manly"
The exhaust sounds like an economy car or a suped up Japanese economy car with a wing bolted on to the back. Not very inspiring at all for a Rand Rover. Especially the Sport model.
It actually does sound really good, but they're flooring it and it's bouncing off the rev limiter, giving it that rice rocket exhaust sound.
Maybe it sounds better when it's actually moving?
Yippie It only sounds good when it's moving out of Nebraska.
***** Er, it's a Range Rover !!??!!.
6:31 doors don't align to the body window line..... very poor for such a high price tag
Chimmey
Look properly pleb!
Would love to have one of these bad boys some day. If I have tons of money to spend out my butt.
Did this have the heavy duty package?
No
Isen't "Rover" now owned by Tatra?
Ford use to own range rover and jaguar
I say lease it then buy it.
$73k us but $88 CDN so I will stick with the #Evoque thanks & with the right tires that will be the only Range Rover I'd buy except for the Defender 110 but in Automatic which they don't have in Canada yet in the 3.0 Diesel :'( :'( :'(
What's the predicted engine reliability?
It's a Range Rover. Not much more left to be said. They NEVER last.
Technically it's a SUV....
i know friends who own range rovers, and they NEVER take it off road. its just a status symbol
Hello, how does it compare to the Porsche Macan?
On road as nothing beats a rover off road.
hm14902 RR Sport is bigger, compare with Cayenne. Macan should be compared to X3, Q5, GLK, XC60 etc.
Johan Littorin I always thought that the Cayenne would compete with the bigger Range Rover. If I am wrong could you please tell me what compete's with the bigger Range Rover. Thanks.
hm14902 Mercedes GL I guess, probobly some american SUV:s as well. I do not know so much about the american big SUV, since they are not being sold in Europe.
Johan Littorin Same don't know much competition for the Range Rover in the Europe except the Mercedes GL. Then I guess the Range Rover Evoque would compete with the BMW X1 etc and so the Range Rover Sport must compete with the X5 etc. Anyway thanks for clearing that up.
Needs at least 400-420hp IMO...
Get the 5.0 supercharged V8 version with 500+hp then.
agreed...at least 400 to make up for the weight.
For what? 0-60 in around 6 seconds flat isn't enough for a big crossover?
no it is but, if your gonna lay down that kind of cash...sub 6 sec (5.7..etc) would be nice to have. But i get your point, in normal everyday driving it doesn't even matter. Whether it's 6 sec or less, i'll never know since i'll never be able to afford a car like that anyway.
mywingchunsucks There's no difference between 5,7 and 6,0s, it's basically the same time.
"SUV" ?
No longer in the vocabulary of TFL group?
Truck... crossover... try SUV?
Would buy the Sport or LR4 in a heartbeat if it wasn't for a) reliability, and b) dealer network. If B was solved A wouldn't be much of a problem. Curious to see what the reliability of the "new wave" is going to be, as I would LOVE to own one.
Nobody buys a Range Rover to go offroad. Simply too expensive to risk it. Unless you are super rich and don't give a fuck.
Usually the 2nd owner takes it offroad because its older and parts are cheaper, same with the jeep grand cherokee .... Nobody takes it offroad when they first get it....
Competition for the RRS is:
Porsche Cayenne
BMW X5
Mercedes ML
Audi Q7
…
Q7? Definitely not, it's too big.
Austin Moses Q7 is much longer than RR Sport. It's somewhere in GL's territory.
sic22l
The GL and ML are the only ones worth considering in the list you made.
Peter I List I made? I've never mentioned anything about Merc ML.
easy trail, I can do it with a jeep compass...
It's that easy I could walk it.
me too, lol
Well, we did it in a Jeep Patriot - so, you are correct about the Compass. Hooray for Sergio.
***** Sorry my friend. I have no idea. It costs $2,000 to $3,000 to ship from Germany to the Eastern United States. I doubt that info will help you. Best of luck!
you are lucky we have to pay 250.000 $ for this.
CHANGE THAT INTRO :)
great, but please don't call it a Rover. Thankfully Land Rover has nothing to do with Rover.
It hurts every British person who watches this video
ALUMINIUM
I know, their bloody stupid pronunciation still gets to me. I should ignore it, but it puts my bloody teeth on edge.
MrKeyboardCommando OMG different countries pronouncing words differently? It's sacrilegious......Don't like it? Then get out.
Well it's Meth-ane not Me-thane so who cares.
***** Like you said, Berry, English isn't your first language.
If I pronounce it using the Queen's English - an effigy will be burnt on my lawn while I am drawn and quartered by two Jag-U-ars.
main negative reliability. land rover/range rover, rate the worst as a brand
No thanks, Porsche Macan Turbo or Porsche Cayenne or Audi SQ5. They go more than far enough off road to satisfy me and would smoke a Range Rover on the road.
Not mine
yarrrrrrrr
