  • ( www.TFLcar.com ) The 2014 Range Rover Sport is a an amazing vehicle in that it combines extreme off-road capability with a plush and comfy highway ride. These are two ends of a very diverse spectrum. But just how capable is the 2014 Range Rover Sport off-road. Nathan decided to find our when he took this latest and newest Range Rover into the Colorado Ricky Mountains.

    Nathan does the best automotive reviews on this channel. It's honest, real, relaxed and relatable.

    I love it when Nathan is by himself during reviews. He always appears to know more about the vehicle, and they feel more professional.

    Good review Nathan! I recently purchased a CPO 2014 out in San Diego and drove it to Colorado Springs this past weekend...great road trip vehicle! The lights actually move with the steering wheel making driving at night that much more relaxing. I've been in the military for 10 years and my wife is a very successful sales women at a jewelry store. Haters can hate all they want on owners of these vehicles. They are great trucks and I look forward to the next 5 years of ownership with mine.

    With Roman missing in action, somewhere in the Czech Republic, Nathan has really come into his own. An absolutely cracking review; fast, entertaining and nicely modulated. And your clothes weren't dirty !!!!!!!!! ;-)))

    Nathan, great review. How about a shits n giggles comparison between this and the cherokee trailhawk. I'd like to see which has more utility and better offload performance.

    Its has 10.4 inch of clearance from the differential ? If so thats good
    Nd the full size range rover is an inch higher .... So 11.4 ....

    Thank You for this video. I followed You and Your link TFL Car on Twitter too. More I like this color very much. The Metallic Grey is my one of Favourite colors. And I like its price. You told that it is just 73.000 USD. And this total price equals to a Fiat Jeep car in my Country. If this Range Rovers Price is 73.000.

    Sorry, but there is no way Nathan had those same tires on snow, and had them working ok. Those are summer only Michelin Latitude Sports, which are basically Pilot Sport PS2's in a truck size.

    looks like my 2nd gen ford escape has more space in the back. I think if I had to buy a land rover, I would go for LR2 or LR4 when they come out with new body types.

  • @mywingchunsucks
    @mywingchunsucks 10 лет назад

    I would love to see how this compared with the Porsche Macan S since they are both in the same price range and about the same HP (in v6 guise). Porsche keeps saying that their Macan is just as capable (expect for water fording)

    • @sic22l
      @sic22l 10 лет назад

      Macan is smaller than Range Rover Sport.

    • @mywingchunsucks
      @mywingchunsucks 10 лет назад

      I know but people shopping around might check out both cars since the Macan S would be in their "budget"...then again if you have that kind of money, it probably wouldn't mater much to you. I personally would prefer the RRS over the PMS for the utility and off road prowess (if i had the money)

    • @sic22l
      @sic22l 10 лет назад

      mywingchunsucks RRS is also much more plush/posh inside compared to metallic, cold Macan.

    The exhaust sounds like an economy car or a suped up Japanese economy car with a wing bolted on to the back. Not very inspiring at all for a Rand Rover. Especially the Sport model.

    • @AdventuristoSupremo
      @AdventuristoSupremo 10 лет назад +1

      It actually does sound really good, but they're flooring it and it's bouncing off the rev limiter, giving it that rice rocket exhaust sound.

    • @johanlittorin2765
      @johanlittorin2765 10 лет назад

      hm14902 RR Sport is bigger, compare with Cayenne. Macan should be compared to X3, Q5, GLK, XC60 etc.

    • @hm14902
      @hm14902 10 лет назад

      Johan Littorin I always thought that the Cayenne would compete with the bigger Range Rover. If I am wrong could you please tell me what compete's with the bigger Range Rover. Thanks.

    • @johanlittorin2765
      @johanlittorin2765 10 лет назад

      hm14902 Mercedes GL I guess, probobly some american SUV:s as well. I do not know so much about the american big SUV, since they are not being sold in Europe.

    • @hm14902
      @hm14902 10 лет назад

      Johan Littorin Same don't know much competition for the Range Rover in the Europe except the Mercedes GL. Then I guess the Range Rover Evoque would compete with the BMW X1 etc and so the Range Rover Sport must compete with the X5 etc. Anyway thanks for clearing that up.

    • @mywingchunsucks
      @mywingchunsucks 10 лет назад

      no it is but, if your gonna lay down that kind of cash...sub 6 sec (5.7..etc) would be nice to have. But i get your point, in normal everyday driving it doesn't even matter. Whether it's 6 sec or less, i'll never know since i'll never be able to afford a car like that anyway.

    • @sic22l
      @sic22l 10 лет назад

      mywingchunsucks There's no difference between 5,7 and 6,0s, it's basically the same time.

    Would buy the Sport or LR4 in a heartbeat if it wasn't for a) reliability, and b) dealer network. If B was solved A wouldn't be much of a problem. Curious to see what the reliability of the "new wave" is going to be, as I would LOVE to own one.

    Nobody buys a Range Rover to go offroad. Simply too expensive to risk it. Unless you are super rich and don't give a fuck.

    • @moneymike422vids
      @moneymike422vids 10 лет назад +1

      Usually the 2nd owner takes it offroad because its older and parts are cheaper, same with the jeep grand cherokee .... Nobody takes it offroad when they first get it....

    Competition for the RRS is:
    Porsche Cayenne
    BMW X5
    Mercedes ML
    Audi Q7
