  • Range Rover Sport HSE 2014 review.
This is my everyday driving car which I enjoy every minute I'm driving it. Currently, these SUVs are at a bargain price (2019) of approx. $33-37k USD or 40-50k CDN making them a very good buy.
The engine is an auto 8 speed V6 supercharged 3L putting out 340 horsepower and 0-60 in about 7 seconds (little longer now that it is 5 years old). Gas isn't bad at 17 city and 23 highway.
Car looks amazing, very little issues, strongly encourage you to buy one!

Yesterday I traded my trouble free, 2010, 114,000 mile V8 Range Rover Sport for a 2014, 109,000 mile Range Rover Sport Supercharged V6 HSE. The 2014 Rover was $25,450. It has a complete service history, and the dealer I got it from sold it when it was new.
Because my 2010 was so reliable over the 3 years owned it, I had no problem buying a 2014 with 109,000 miles. These trucks are amazing.
Btw: I need one of those rear cargo shades. You don't use yours so send it to me.

Wow thats a good deal, not a bad price for the newer body style. Mine is still driving without any issues but I drive about 800 miles a week on it so it is high miles too. I want to trade mine in this summer maybe for a 2018-19 one but we will see.

@@novascotianexplorer9154 Another reason I bought mine with high miles is because I won't be driving it much. Probably not more than 3000 miles a year. I also have a 2009 BMW 759Li that I drive sometimes too. So piling on miles isn't a concern for me.
Eventually I'm going to get the V8 Autobiography, or an SVR. I have to have one of those eventually.
I subscribed to your page yesterday since our Rovers are similar.

@@novascotianexplorer9154 I've had four 3 Series. No issues. I've had three 7 Series, prior to my 2009 model. I wouldn't say it's unreliable, because it has never actually broken down, but it throws up check engine lights from time to time that always end up being some minor issue. It gets annoying. My 2010 Rover Sport never ever had any issue at all in the 3 years I owned it. My 7 Series has had probably 8 check engine lights since January. But it is a seriously smooth riding highway car. I drive it 1000 miles to visit my family and is such a pleasant riding car.

@@carycoller3140 sorry just reading this now was out fishing for a few days. Yeah, the 7 series is a serious car and the prices on the used market are very attractive considering its a $100k car. I always wanted one, might do it someday soon. I want to buy another car to divide some of my driving up with. 1000miles a week is a shit load of driving for one car.

Yes, fully agree the older models aren't very reliable. My first Rover was the full size one in 2006 when BMW owned Land Rover and it was horrible, then I went back to it and bought the previous model before this one and it wasn't bad at all. This model 2014 has been great! Nothing major and now I have 107,000 miles on it and still everything is good. Newer the better though.

George, I bought a 2010 Rover Sport in 2016. It had 99,000 miles on it, and I'd had no previous experience with Rovers. Not one day did it ever break down on me. I had absolutely no issues. The only thing I did to it was a new battery earlier this year, and, the month that I bought it I had complete "new-to-me service" done on it. That service recommended that I replac the tie rod ends, but that was it. 3 and a half trouble-free years.
I just traded it a week ago for a 2014 Rover Sport, Supercharged V6, with 109,000. The reliability of my 2010 gave me the confidence to buy a 109,000 me Rover Sport. I'm going to have the usual, "new-to-me" service done, and I'm expecting to get a few good years or of it and then get a good used V8 Autobiography Sport, or an SVR.
Find one with a good service history and go for it, if it's in your budget. You only live once man.

@@georgesolomon5696 I don't like breaking down, of course, and I'm that guy who NEVER-EVER buys extended warranties. So when I buy a "new" used vehicle I always take it to the service department and tell to do the next required service, and look for stuff that might need replacing. That has always worked for me. When I bought my 2010 Rover Sport in 2016, I spent about $750 on a "new-to-me" service, and about $400 replacing the tie-rod ends. The Rover tech found nothing else wrong. After that I put in on the highway with no concerns.
