I got the blue one from Walmart 7 years ago. It's held up well, I recommend these to anyone.
I use several of these for safe storage of my more valuable items. As an added step, I placed them in locations out of site for casual visitors. I also painted the interiors white to increase visibility. Generally speaking, I really do like them.
So far mine has been fantastic...just a simple drop of oil to lube the locking mechanism and it's buttery smooth.
Best video yet on the product, thank you
I only suggest that you lag bolt into your slab or the wall stud behind your security cabinet.
Yes you should always be able to find your guns when you need them .... wow !
Thank you this vid boss, I’m sold on a stack on
It's solid for the money... Can't go wrong if you want a simple locker style cabinet
I think this is the way I am going to go. My wife and I have been together for 20 years and its always just been us, so leaving my guns laying around in cases was never a big deal. Now that we are having our having out first kid this month and my 8 year old nephew slated to come live with us at the end of this month, Ive had to change my way of thinking about storing my firearms. I already went and purchased a 36 gun safe that is supposed to be delivered this week, but the thing weighs 500 pounds. Now everyone knows that I like to move around and re-orient things frequently, because I just get tired of everything always looking the same. I wont be able to do that with a 500 pound safe, so I am thinking of canceling the safe and going with a cabinet instead. Just need to find one big enough and with a robust enough lock that I trust.
I think the fire rating would be your other consideration. These cabinets have 0 fire rating. But I slide mine around all the time... So yes much more manageable
Don’t these cabinets are trash I bought this one today and only my long rifle fits, the barrel rests won’t fit to an Ar and the metal is super flimsy
@@reaper18331 explain flimsy? What do you need it to do? It's not a safe... It's a cabinet
@@OuterLimitless2 was trying to put the center divider in and damn near warped the whole thing trying to Aline it up with the holes to screw it in. Was able to “fix” it buuuut you can see where it bowed a bit.
@@reaper18331any heavy duty safe can be cut through with a 6" angle grinder in 30 min or less, just go through the side, if theives want whats inside, they will get it, so fire protection is what your paying for.
A friend gave me one of those; I put plywood shelves in it and use it for ammo.
That's an awesome gift!
What did you use to support the shelves?
@@Zacharyr222 I used adjustable shelf brackets; there are 2 vertical strips that I bolted to the cabinet, and I used metal clips to support the plywood shelves.
Got pictures ?
I got some magnetic, motion activated, rechargeable lights on Amazon that work nicely to light up the interior.
Yes that's exactly what I did. Gotta charge them from time to time but they work well
Thank you. I'm sitting here assembling mine, and if you put the two back rests on AS INSTRUCTED, there's NO WAY that middle partition is going in... I see now those two back rests don't both go in side by side. Off I go to begin yet again.
Understand that these are cabinets and not gun safes. Been using these cabinets for over 15 years now.
Great tool to organize and secure your firearms/mags/ammo/accessories from the casual visitor and kids.
I have several plus the pistol version mounted on top of the double door version in an alarmed room.
Thinking about getting this one (if it’s not too big for where I need it) until I can upgrade 5:35 to something more permanent when I line somewhere more permanent haha I just wish it came installed 😅
Do those come with holes on the bottom for mounting them to the floor?
Nice ❤
What store did you decide to buy it from? I’m in between Sportman’s Waterhouse and Tractors Supply. Looks like the only difference between the two is getting either 2 or 4 shelves.
I went to tractor supply...I have one down the street. I really like it, honestly perfect
That’s awesome! Between both stores having them on sale this past month, I finally bought one! Now to pick it up lol. While deciding on where to buy this, I found a used 14 gun green one that fit window to window in my backseat (barely). So I’m hoping this one will fit!
Great video! Thank you so much for posting this! I know I’ll be rewatching it again while I set it up!
Very informative. I just got mine and haven't yet opened the box. Where did you get the magnetic shelves? Thx.
Amazon has tons of options... Take your time and find strong magnets
what size drill bit for the lower holes?
My key got stuck in the lock. Had to drill it out. Still wouldn't open so I had to destroy the cabinet to get my weapons out.
That's surprising... I bet you had a rifle fall against the lock bars on the inside... I have almost had that happen
link for those magnetic shelves ?
Amazon...
where did you get the magnetic shelves?
Amazon... Just make sure they're super high strength magnets
TY... I just got my 18-gun Stack-on.
looks like you could pry that door off with a flat head screwdriver...
It sucks that you have to drill your own holes to lower the rifle stays. Super inconvenient.
Was very easy and for the price no worries
That does not look like it will fit 18 guns at all lol
I have 10 in mine so far and there's room to go. Granted not all rifles, but still...
This isn’t a good gun cabinet very disappointed when I got mine
I love mine... I guess it depends on your expectations.
These cabinets are garbage, they’re flimsy as hell and all the “barrel rests” are to tall for almost any rifle i own
Works literally perfectly for me... Just drill new holes lower... Simple
skill issue, champ.
You literally just took it out of a box and set it on the ground. Didn't lag bolt it but gave the 101 of what a safe is.
Still not lagged... Has never been. What's your point?
clearly that is the point numb nuts. Plus zero assembly just unboxing?? Next time I buy toothpaste I'll send you the video. @@OuterLimitless2
@@daveh8686 did you watch my video at all numb nuts? Do I need to show you HOW to turn the screw driver? Or would my words explain that installing a bolt indicates righty tighty lefty loosy? Maybe I could just do a video about how to use a screw driver?
Such an angry little guy.. he's just showing what has worked for him, chill out.
