The Hatsan AT-44 Tactical in .22 was my first PCP air rifle. It is an absolute tac driver. I love the simplicity of the metal push through magazines.

Always loved the look of that AT44 Tactical! I especially like the all metal, open mags; so easy to load. The overall design of this tactical version was special as well; love the adjustable butt stock and dual onboard spare mag storage. I'd say for your first ever PCP, you hit an out-of-the-ballpark home run!

My first PCP was a Benjamin Wildfire. It was cheap and got me into the PCP game. My second PCP was a Hatsan AT-44 tactical like yours. Bought it second hand from a gun store. It’s an accurate rifle and I really like the onboard magazine storage. Don’t know why more rifles don’t have that feature.

Watched so many of your vids over the past couple of years (mostly throu my former YT channel CoyoteAdventures) , commented on a few vids, liked all of them I seen. Seen so many PCP's I loved, but 3 days ago placed my order for my first PCP, the (now discontinued? ) Hatsan AT44-10 Long. Already have a cheap new electric Vevor PCP pump here, just waiting on the gun to arrive. THANKS for the many GREAT vids you have shown over the years! It was down to the Beeman Commander .22 or the AT44-10 Long. Hope I done well. Next rifle will be a .357 or larger PCP

So, I was on Hatsan USA's website looking over their Refurb Deals.
They had some AT44 10S Long QE S 22 guns for $320. I found a discount code for free shipping. Done!
I plan on hot rodding this one a little.
This has the QE shroud with the front sight on it.
That is going straight in the garbage, where it belongs. They are junk! I don't care what anyone says about them! No big deal, though. There is a solution!
It will be replaced with a carbonfiber shroud that I got off of Amazon. I will make some new tighter fitting aluminum end bushings, replacing the wonky plastic ones, and cut the shroud to length, and add a nut that will tension the shroud and barrel, then add an aftermarket moderator. I do have a Buckrail suppressor that I will try. Sometimes you have to try a couple of different suppressors to get the one that delivers the best accuracy.
I did this with my Hatsan .22 FlashWood and it now shoots a 1 hole 10 shot dime size group at 50 yards at 880 fps with H&N 21gr Barracuda Match pellets, all day long! That suppressor is a Terminator Industries carbonfiber Winerdog. Super quiet, and the accuracy is outstanding!
I like these Hatsans! Check out the Refurb deals from time to time on the Hatsan USA site. You can get some real deals. One of these days I hope to get a BT 65 in .25.
Never really been my kinda rifle.. But I've always somehow liked that basic magazine style.

The AT44/10 was the first PCP I bought.., very heavy but very quiet with HW mod. Damn good rifle and wish I hadn’t sold it.😎

You are still young and hand pump exercise is good for you. I am 62 and do have a SCBA tank but almost always use the hand pump. A friend of mine is 72 and only have a hand pump to fill his rifles.
You are correct...that is a great workout! But, I only have so much horsepower, and the gym takes that extra bit. So I should say, I just don't prefer the handpump. I will be 60 next week. Thank you for your comments, and I really appreciate your support 👍🏻👍🏻😉

Depends on the model but they are getting some more FPE and larger shot count. But usually, you have a higher PSI fill as well. Have a great weekend Peter!

How did you mod the safety?
I unscrewed the stock from the receiver and dremeled the lever attached to the safety. I hate automatic safeties. It is the only gripe about this gun.

Hello Detective ! I have owned the Hatsan AT44 in 177, 22, and now 25. All three are LASER accurate, quiet, and I'd put them up against any rifle under $1,000.
EDIT : The AT44 was also my FIRST PCP, so I was spoiled out of the box. Also, as far as noise suppressors go, all I own are WOLF AIRGUN suppressors from Poland. About $45 shipped to the USA and I won't use anything else. The Donny is SOOOooo overrated, hence twice the price. I just don't like them.
