If you and Jim ever want to make a fortune, you could sell seats at your table to your viewers. I often think how wonderful it would be to share dinner with the two of you and enjoy your delicious meal along with your company. Thank you for another great video and recipe!
A canning weekend, including dinner! 😊

Noooo...too dangerous...too many crazies out there.
Me too!
Pam does have a way of making you feel like you are already there in her kitchen.
It looks delicious! Greetings from an Englishman 🇬🇧 watching from SAUDI ARABIA! ☺
My husband always opens jars with the edge of the ring. Hold the jar with your hands, the ring with your thumbs and use the edge of the bottom of the ring to pry the lid. He’s a pro.
Praying that I have dropped enough hints that I get my Maslin for birthday in March ♥
You just answered the most asked question, "What's for supper?", it will be chicken pot pie. Thank you for sharing this amazing canning recipe with us.
Pam! This is the EXACT reason we love, trust, and devour your videos!! You are simply a Genius!! A simple dime can make a HUGE impact!! What a phenomenal tip!! I can’t tell you how much that simple trick will change my jar opening from now on and how many lids I will be able to repurpose!! Thank you!!
Wow! So glad you found the information useful.
I have used a little vinegar in the processing water to prevent a cloudy residue on the outside of my jars. Thanks for all you do and teach :) +JMJ+
Using vinegar can make the jar rings rust a lot faster.
@cynthiafisher9907 PLUS it can pit your aluminum canner. I figure I can always wash my jars, but now both of my canners are pitted.
@@UpNorth069 Oh, good to know! I never thought about that consequence. Thanks, but sorry your canners are pitted.
My local store has chicken breasts on sale for $1.99/lb. Headed out to get some chicken for canning this stew! Thanks, Pam. May God richly bless you and Jim for all you do for our community. I am thinking processing time is 75 minutes based on other tested recipes I have researched.
Thanks...I watched the video several times to get the right processing time but never heard it!
For a variation on the chicken pot pie you could top it with mashed potatoes to create a shepherds pie.
I do all the time because I think it's also healthier. Do these the same as I would Cottage or Shepards pies.
Oh you make it look so smooth and easy to do. I’m sure it is but when I can its like a train wreak when it comes to the filling of jars. I love your prep. I’m still a progress at work. Lol. Your awesome!
Just wanted to drop you a note. I watched the video last fall about beef stew n I just opened up a quart of it and prepped the juice with the seasonings I like-and boy is it good!!! Thanks so much for all you do!
Love your tip about using a dime to open jars
Lovely!!
Thank you so much!!
Looks so good!
Beautiful stew !! Thank you so very much for your time teaching us ❤

Love the quicker videos!! Would love to see more tested recipies in this new quick version. Usually I sign off before the end of a video. Not this time!

Love that you're doing another pressure canning vid! Thank you and pls keep the PC vids rollin'!
Great recipe, I’ll be making this. I bought a jar opener so I could preserve my canning lids for vacuum sealing. It’s cute, but cost me $25; would never have purchased it if I’d known your “dime trick.” Learning is so much FUN. ❣️
oh it looks so tasty 😋 I have to say I loved your refrigerator and now I want one of that style
Perfect! Love it!
Thank you! Cheers! Jim
Wow great! I bet it will also make a great rustic chicken and mushroom soup if you leave off thickening it and enjoy it with some still warm home baked bread. Thank you for another great video.
Looks mighty delicious.. love the little pie dishes.. great video thanks

Pam, I want to thank you for all your videos, and the way you give us clear and well informed teaching. I have followed you for over a year and my husband and I started canning confidently because of your information. We appreciate it very much.
Thank you Pam.
Great idea, we love chicken pot pie!
Thank you! This is exactly what I'm looking for. Something for one person and cannable in pints.
Thanks Pam, I'll be making this. Easy for me. Easy to load up boyfriends pantry.
Goo afternoon from West Virginia. Just a thank you for your videos. I really appreciate your science behind canning safety. Stopped can for years and got back to it because of another like homesteaders. I bought this book and used this recipe using turkey that I got real cheap. Playing catch up on your videos. Good health to you.
Nice! I could imagine this being a very popular dinner starter for my family. Appreciate you!
Hope you enjoy making it for your family. Jim
Thanks so much for making this video! Canning this recipe from the book will be so much easier now that I've seen it done. 👍🏻
The jar opening too is priceless. Thank you!
You are so welcome! JIm
Great job as usual! 😊

What a great looking stew! Thanks for sharing this used in a recipe as it makes it so much easier to see what a delicious looking meal it makes.
Thanks! Jim
Definitely going to try this recipe. Thanks for sharing a small batch recipe.
Our pleasure 😊 Jim
I love these ideas. I will be retiring in a few months myself and can't wait to put your ideas and the Blue Ball Book to use.
Have fun and let us know the results of your canning. Have a great retirement. Jim
This looks so delicious. I am definitely going to try it!! I love your videos. I live in New Zealand and have only had my pressure canner about a month now, but I am totally hooked and can't stop trying new things all the time. You have really inspired me so thank you!! xx
Aside from the recipe, the can opening trick with a dime was brilliant! TY. 🤗
I have been watching your videos, and I absolutely love it! I'm totally new to canning, so I appreciate how patiently you show the whole process from start to finish.
You are so welcome! Jim
You are such a good teacher. I am wondering if you ever do any classes on growing things in your garden. Maybe include what sort of things you do to keep the pests away.
Including the deer.
Thank you for all of your effort that you have put into teaching us. I feel so blessed to have found your community.
You and Jim are amazing.
Thanks for the comments. We have done a number of garden videos and plan to do some this spring/summer. We have not really talked about pests, except squashing tomato works, squash bugs, and spraying our apple trees. We do not have any tomatoes, squash, or apples this year. Thank you for watching our channel. Jim
Those pot pies are beautiful!! What a great video! Thanks so much Pam and Jim.
You are so welcome! Jim
What a wonderful recipe and lovely supper! Thank you, Jim, for a great video!
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching our video. Jim
Making this stew this week looks amazing 👏
Hope you enjoy, Jim
Yahoo! I now know what to make for my husband tomorrow night. Thank you.
I need to can more of this for him. I'm always canning something for him that is low in sodium, tasty, healthy, cozy and fast.
Lovely! Thank you! I will be trying this for sure. We find pint sized foods perfect for empty nesters. 🙂
This is what I meant when I said it doesn't matter what you do, we love to watch you, do and how you do. You are so knowledgeable and so wonderful to listen to and watch. I love your teaching. Looking forward to this new series! Oh, and your pot pies look lovely and delicious!
When I first saw the chicken stew in the pot, I thought it looked like the chicken pot pie without the thickener or cream, I made earlier this week. Fantastic idea showing how to use the bounty of canning! Thank you! God Bless!
Love meals in a jar videos and especially in pint sizes! Thanks!
You are welcome.
Aloha hugs 🤗 you are so blessed
To have so much room to work in.
Thanks for my favorite stew recipe. After I open it will add bumplings to eat.
Sounds great!
Pam, you look so bright and cheery in that color shirt and lipstick. I love, love the recipe. We can't have enough chicken or chicken meals on the shelf. I'm hearing that the price of chicken is about to go through the roof AGAIN. So... can can can that chicken. I was also very glad to hear you are going to increase showing us ways to use all the ingredients we have been putting up and even turning some into complete jarred meals. Can't wait. Thanks for the great camera work Jim. Love you guys!
More than likely. There was a big disease breakout on chickens here in Iowa. They had to cull the flocks. They thought they had it eradicated but I just saw on last weeks news that it’s broken out again. Chicken and eggs will skyrocket due to this. 🤦♀️😢
Yummy! Thanks Pam, I'll give that a try!
That is what we are having for lunch today. Jim
Thank you
Chicken stew was my first canning project. Waited a few weeks and opened a jar today, it was delicious! Will be making more meals in a jar, so convenient since it’s just me now. Will be making it in a pie next time. This time I made it over noodles. Thanks Pam and Jim.
Those pot pies look incredibly delicious! 😋 Thank you for sharing.❤
You are so welcome!
I love your videos 💞 hi from Canada 💜
I made 1 large pot pie with this and froze the remainder instead of canning it this time. I will try canning a batch as well. It is going to be a favorite around here, along with my veg/meatball soup which I remember my mother serving every winter. Love, love, love both dishes.
P.S. You have the cutest pot pie dishes.
Oh this was great. I should do some of these in pints. You could make a shepherds pie with it. Or cover it with biscuits, anyways would be delish. Thanks Pam. Great idea.❄️🇨🇦❄️
Ordered the steamer pot - I've been wanting them forever - I have a small one but it's like a toy to try to get food put away. - thank you for your reference
You are welcome. Jim
Ty
Looks good, not able to find it in my Bernardin book but did find same recipe but with beef cubes.
