I am just happy we will have more options in the EV truck market. If you need 6 ft+ bed, get the Cybertruck, if you need more enclosed storage and shorter wheelbase for better off-roading capability, get the R1T. It's a win-win for me as a consumer.
Um… I think Rivian will not only survive, but thrive. I'm not a truck driver, but most of those I know are NOT at all keen with the Cybertruck. It is just too weird and impractical for their accessories and needs, at work or at home. They would much prefer an R1T or an F-150 Lightning.
I think what Rivian has that Tesla doesn’t is that it looks to not only be an electric car, but model the success of brands like Jeep, Land Rover, and to an extent, Subaru. Its a lifestyle brand and these brands have large fan bases especially here in the US. It will appeal to EV customers but also your lifestyle SUV enthusiasts. It think like Jeep, it will have a cult following. I just hope Rivian chooses the path of customizability allowing a fan base to customize their Rivians much like Jeep enthusiasts do. Up here in Northern NJ where its very EV heavy (and prime Tesla territory), I am starting to spot more and more Rivians.

No, Rivian will not survive. They are amateurs among manufacturers that have been around for a century or more. They have nowhere the capability to match economy of scale that high volume producers with a diverse portfolio of products have. They cant turn a profit per vehicle. Just like what happened to all the other boutique manufacturer's in the early 20th century.

I am from Liechtenstein and since the country is quite small I don’t know how many Rivians will fit here 🧐 😂but I am a big fan of that truck and I loved the kitchenette option 😄. I bought shares at a high price 😱 but I will keep them because I trust that they will do fine! 🍀
Hi Shannon. Think the 2 million reservations of the Cybertruck is gonna give around 200.000 real cars. But we will see. In Europe you won't get it as I think and here you have around 250.000 reservations. The car ist too big for the narrow European roads without it would get rear wheel steering. Rivian is more traditional...yessss. But more handy. Even the Ford Lightning is more traditional and has already many features for craftsman/crafts women 😉or outdoor lovers.
