I learned 2 identical green class specific recipes and just after learning them, they dont show up in my engravings list and I'm aware theres 2 tabs, 1 for battle and 1 for class. All thats there is the drops of ether recipe from training area.
You need 20 recipes to unlock the first tier of engravings and have it as equipable on your Character Page. If you check the book you learned, after you hit it, it should say 1/20 and then 2/20 since you used two books.
I haven't finished the video yet but no one talks about if you powerpass you don't get any of the engravings you get from quests for that character. Can really be a pain to get class engravings for those characters later.
@@Swift41 youre thinking skills point and stats potions. Engraving book quests are not roster bound quests. I just leveled an alt to 38 and got more than enough to get my class engraving while my power pass boosted character didn't get any
@@stevenchu9682 mainly yes though accessories at higher levels get random engravings. So your guaranteed engravings are in the slots and accessories are based on drops.

yup just subbed, so far you have explained this the best out of dozens of videos I have watched. for new players this game is insanely complicated with the amount of systems. 1 question for you and 1 tip for readers. 1. Are all these abilities passives? Once its "active" I dont have to do anything it activates when that ability etc is used Tip, you can get your first class engraving at level 26 when you get to the castle and do the BLUE quest in the throne room, you get the books and you can start using it

So it is possible to reach level 3 (Power Node Point 3) engraving by just using 60 green books or do you need 20 green to get to level 1, then 20 blue books to get to level 2 and 20 purple engraving books to reach level 3? If so, how would legendary give you a bigger bonus? dude this system is so confusing
U need 20 of each book grey, blue, purple to unlock it from lv 1 to lv 3 each lv when equip in the slot give u +5 or 6 and then the rest u make up with ur rock and then ur jewelry if u want to get it to engraving lv 3. Its hard since its all rng so u gotta get lucky with ur jewelry.
So, lemme check if i got it right. Engravings on char screen are ALL actives and running since their lvl1; the 2 equip slots are only used to boost nodes further
did you ever figure this out? i'm wondering the same thing lol. i have used 20 green books to "unlock" level 1 of an engraving I want, but IDK if i need to "equip" it now, or i just automatically have the small bonus :S
@@jvsbarde YEs i got it! I'll try to explain it easy. ALL engravings on you char screen are active, ALL of em with at least 5 nodes. Those on ALT+I that you "lvl up" with books, give you nodes only if you equip em. So, example: one engraving with 20 grenn books gives you 3 nodes if you equip it, and if you have +2 nodes of the same engraving coming from jewelry you will see the lvl 1 active on P char screen. If a stone or a jewel gives you 5+ nodes it will be active anyway, equipped or not. The equip thingy is only to get extra nodes if you lvl up with book.

ok so im confused as to how yo u actually use the engravings. i am a Berzerker who has collected 20 green Mayhem books, and i have both mayhem engravings equiped giving me rank 6. DO i still need to fing a piece of jewlery or an ability stone WITH MAYHEM and then cut that ability stone in order to use the perk Mayhem?!
If you have both mayhem engravings equipped you should be good to go. All engraving nodes (regardless of source) can be viewed in the engravings part of your character profile. The engraving equipment slots, ability stones, and jewelry are all just different ways to get the same thing
i have a chest that has 4 options 2 battle engravings green and blue and 2 uncommon engravings i don't want to open it until i know if battle engraving = combat engraving or not why to they name the engraving chest different to the actual engraving tab types wtf
Sorry, I still find it complicated. I have equipped an engraved stone, but still can't engrave facet or equip engraving separately into slot. I assume there are several ways of doing that and they should be presented alike from very start.

If you mean equipping the same engraving in your gear window: it just adds more node points towards the engraving level. So for example, if I have grudge level 1 in my engraving bonus (from the books) it gives +3 points towards the engraving effect. You need 5 points for level 1, 10 points for level 2 and 15 points for level 3. So if I were to equip 1 grudge, it will give me +3 points and this will not activate it. If I equip grudge in both slots it will give me +3 and +3 points (so 6 in total), this will activate level 1 grudge for me! The higher your level the more node points it gives. So later on I don't have to equip 2x grudge to level it up to 1, because it gives me more points per equipped. So in short, it does not double the effects, it gives more points towards the engraving level.
Is it any point saving all of the chests and such til lategame? I have plenty of items in the inventory, books, chests etc and I don't really know what to do with them..
I have no idea why im so confused still, can you not choose which engraving to have? they are random depending on what the ability stone automatically has? Edit - my success chance continuously goes down when pressing the red option.

you cant get them at all even if you made anothere character and dident power pass them wich kinda suckks i think its roster bound

You can get them from jewellery on the right side of your equipment
