you can get loads of engraving books from optional quests and other adventure tome activities already during leveling! Some of them are even tradeable on the auction house for good gold early on!

Definitely want to emphasize the importance of island quests for farming mats. Island quests can only be done once per roster but they are THE BEST resource for materials. There are maps online that show the ideal route you should take when clearing islands. Before even touching chaos dungeons or abyssals, you can clear islands and get to item level 460 easily.
Tip 3:03 you can dismantle the purple gear(maybe the orange? not quite there yet) and get all the crafting materials required. Lets say I buy a weapon for 5 orbs and its +10% I dismantle and get 5 orbs back and create another weapon with 50%. Just dont fuse your gear and then dismantle.

Then first we do questline, get awekening quest, etc. 1. Start Chaos dungeon level 1 and we can reach 302 with blues. And next? You say homing gear but we have blue gear with ilvl 302. Many people asking how much we upgrade it? until which level etc? - How to reach 302 to 340 item level? Answer looks like honing/upgrading gear but is there any other way? That important detail you pass so fast in video. Which is the important detail. - If we enchant, can it transfered to other gear or no? etc etc
without guides like yours, i would give up, lol.....spent 10 min just figuring out how to get back to my stronghold after hitting level 50...f2 then play song btw

u saved me there... good guide compared to others almost similar but they are missing the point of what to do coz i reached 50 veryy early at my own pace and now im confused where does the grind starts. thanks for noting when and where to start.
Once the final quest in Vern was done, after beating Sigmund etc, I had iLVL 262...unless people race to the end it should be doable. I did all the dungeons along the way solo on hard...I don't know if that made any difference as far as what gear I ended up with by the time I got to 50 (as soon as I hit Arthetine I was already 50)...but yea. You can absolutely be 260+ at the end of the main quest line in Vern.
260 is exactly where I was as well at the end of Vern. I did most of the side quests along the way. I did one chaos dungeon and shot up to like 295. Now I’ve done shushire and I just need to hit 460.
I was 250 maybe just a hair over when I got to vern and unlocked chaos dungeons. I ran it twice and got to 280. I didn't get pants or chest in either run but everything else 302. Now I'm a bit confused on how to get those missing two pieces since you only get loot from two CDs a day.
they should make the quest dungeons (the giant robot one, the trippy ying-yang one) into endgame dungeons as well, just increase the difficulty. those dungeons were way more fun than the ones in end game

you should determine what build you wanna end up with cause not all of them need level 3 in the class engraving (making them cheaper). if you have a cheap build you can select the most expensive engravings and sell them for gold and use that gold to buy your own relevant engravings for cheaper.
Thats what I did as well. Havent cut any engraving stones or opened the pouches for engravings yet, going to work on unlocking my awakenings first. Also just read a comment about completing islands for materials, it also said completing islands can get you to around 400 item lvl. Im in no rush at all to get to a really high gear lvl anyway, all I did during the NA beta was PvP lol its my main interest

I hit lvl50 with my main about 10 days ago, but suddenly there was so much to do, I got confused and I just lvlup-d my alt to 50. now they are the same ilvl, and I kinda want to keep them both that way. (and started a 2nd alt :D ) is it feasable to progress with both lvl50 characters, or should I just focus on one of them, and when it reaches T2, then should I improve the "mainalt"? edit: 2nd question: where can I get more skill points the most easy way? I know some territories have this as a bonus, but its often at 60-70-80%, and that seems like a lot of work (mostly the rapport stuff) 3rd question: how is it possible that you have close to 500k subs, 200+k views, and less than 200 comments?

wait - so the gear transfer is transferring the stats from the gear that you honed? or is it transferring the stats and level from the abyss dungeon to the gear you own? and if its the gear you honed to the abyss items, do you lose the ability to upgrade gear if transferred?
look, after you have done abyssal dungeon which unlocks you new gear you can go and craft this equipment, after crafting you should transfer your old honed gear to this new crafted gear, you can upgrade this gear forward to +15
you transfer honing level. there's only three different armors in tier one: blue, purple, and orange. purple and orange have same base stats but higher bonus stats. purple and orange also get set bonuses. honing level determines base stats and is the only thing that really matters. you want purple and orange for the bonus stuff but can make do with blue rarity. honing is key to this game and you never lose the ability to hone.
So I'm at "Windbringer Hills" I'm 242 IL and just dinged 50. The specific quest I'm at is "Totrich on Lockdown" and I've found 2 arks. How far am I from the "260-lock" Main story-wise? Thanks for the vid
hey, what is your opinion on dps paladin? i see many people criticize that build, i found dps paladin to be very fun but im afraid i have to build him as a support for the endgame
I'm almost reaching level 50 on my main which is a Shadowhunter, but I'm thinking of making a paladin as my first alt. I think the same as you, I feel like I'm gonna be forced into support at the higher levels.
I have my paladin as both support and dps. It took a lot of training ground time but I've found a way. I even did more dmg that others going dps paladin
People with a lot of exp as paladin say it’s possible late game but that’s very late game. It’s very mana hungry and requires A lot of resources to match other classes dps. It’s certainly not going to be meta id think.
for ability stones.. why does it say for the negative one that the percentage is the chance of cracking? wouldnt a 75% chance to crack be a good time to put it in the red? idk why the wording is just fucking with me lol
no, you can't. you have to find or buy jewelry/ability stones with the correct engravings. abyssal dungeons will drop a ton of jewelry with your class engraving. you don't really need to optimize until maybe tier 3. just pump your item level up (through honing) and the content becomes easy.
basically what i see as a newbie is that lost ark doesn’t have end game you constantly spam chaos dungeons 1 mil times to level up blue gear to +20 then as you unlock more abyssal dungeons you just upgrade your gear to purple yellow etc And while you’re at it you spam some normal raids cube and tower for more mats or if you got bored of chaos correct me if am wrong currently 802item level

I got to 50, doing the awakening skill quest chain. Get as far as having to play song of melody. Which I don't have and can't see it as a reward in my uest log. My Google fu just comes up with do awakening chain to get song. Any ideas?

Do people have trouble getting to 260? I wasn’t even trying or thinking about it but I was at 260 shortly after reaching Vern just from MSQ and hard dungeons
10:50 I think this is actually incorrect. If you actually read the text on the negative effect, it says chance of CRACKING, not chance of SUCCESS. The lower the number goes, the higher chance the red has of succeeding. The whole point is to balance them out. When you have 75% chance of success on the positive effects, you also have a 75% chance of failing the negative effect(cracking the node). It is to force you to choose how low you want to go. If it gets to 35% then you have a very high chance of succeeding on the negative effect and you may reach a point of no return. The whole thing is a wash anyways I've failed a lot of 75% successes and succeeded a lot of 25-35%s on blues. There are times when the success rate really feels meaningless. RNG gonna RNG.
Is it normal to never touch Chaos Dungeons at 300 item level? I never got stuck on the supposed 260 item level wall and just kept doing the story like normal!

Correction it is iLvl 460 not 260 which you have to achieve to progress at that certain point you mentioned at the beginning.

Yes you can transfert your current lvl gear to another gear lvl 0

You can also double slot the engravings allowing you to get 6 points from a single green engraving or 12 from a blue

You need to get 20 books into it before you can equip it
If y’all actually did roster quests and other quests you earn a lot of book plus other things that are worth it before you even hit level 50

You can upgrade your rare gear now and just head over to the honing NPC and transfer those upgrades onto your better gear when you get them

When looking at tripods they say lv 1 and lvl 2. How do you get a specific tripod your using to level two?
Some of the higher tier tripods for that skill will say + lvl 1 or something similar.
So after you run out of Aura of Resonance, you don't get item drops anymore?
you get perception shards which you trade in for materials for honing. the converter is next to chaos dungeon. honing should be your number one focus.

Do people have trouble getting to 260? I wasn’t even trying or thinking about it but I was at 260 shortly after reaching Vern just from MSQ and hard dungeons

yeah, if you don't want to solely rely on chaos dungeon for materials. it'll be faster to reach tier 2. maxroll has a guide for hitting the islands.
10:50 I think this is actually incorrect. If you actually read the text on the negative effect, it says chance of CRACKING, not chance of SUCCESS. The lower the number goes, the higher chance the red has of succeeding. The whole point is to balance them out. When you have 75% chance of success on the positive effects, you also have a 75% chance of failing the negative effect(cracking the node).
It is to force you to choose how low you want to go. If it gets to 35% then you have a very high chance of succeeding on the negative effect and you may reach a point of no return.
The whole thing is a wash anyways I've failed a lot of 75% successes and succeeded a lot of 25-35%s on blues. There are times when the success rate really feels meaningless.

Is it normal to never touch Chaos Dungeons at 300 item level? I never got stuck on the supposed 260 item level wall and just kept doing the story like normal!
it's highly inefficient if you don't do chaos dungeon to get 302 gear when they become available.
@@Cryosxify I got a chest that gave me 303 item level gear as I got the 4th Ark, so that's why I asked haha
@@HeartOfClod in shushire? should be the same same as doing chaos dungeon but you could've gotten it earlier. also doing story over geared is so much faster. just started tier 2 content and already honed to +9, my aoe kills everything in one hit lol
