I once set the maximum family size to 60. I also made it so that male Sims can get pregnant. Then, I realized that Johnny Zest got married, and had MANY kids. I visited him to find that he lived with 7 adults, 14 teens, 5 toddlers and 5 babies in his 1 bed house. Also, 6 adults and 4 teens where pregnant. Most of those where half brother and sisters, all from different partners.

@@lydia6561 Used MC Command Centre to change the maximum family size and allow you to set male Sims as able to get pregnant. Then, I used a Whims mod that allow the Sims to get pregnant autonomously WAY before it became base game. You know, that autonomous risky woohoo thing...

@@moniquedamphousse9682 In that save, one of my Sims learned the puffer fish recipe. I then cheated his cooking skill to zero, and locked his skills progression. He already had the «Always welcome» trait. He visited a few households and cooked them some nice puffer fish meals. ONLY went to places with over 12 Sims sharing a single house.
The Reaper got a burnout that day.

Especially because in the book there was one kid (Mary, the second daughter) who was mentioned in the chapter about when each kid was born and really nowhere else, just like how the one sim got deleted by CAS. (Although according to the appendix in my copy of the book, Mary died of diphtheria fairly early and the two of the kids who were writing the book didn't want to mention that.)

@@mrsneeze903 The only thing that I did was allowing family to have up to 60 members in them. Johnny Zest did the rest all by himself.

I am groveling for a large flat, one story, ranch style house. I don't like using two story homes, I like seeing everything in front of me! I would love to see a video on this!
When it comes to houses I am actually playing in, I always go for one story.
When I’m building for fun? Usually two story builds. But I find multiple levels way to difficult to use when it comes to managing sims.
I like that this house isn't too decorated. Some of the bigger builds tend to have too many objects. Thank you for this useful and neatly layout of a house.

I LOVE the yellow bedroom. The dark furniture looks so nice with the pale yellow, and the bright blue is such a lovely compliment to it. Everything pops. Probably my favorite in the house
I wish the sims team would allow the household to have more sims because what if I want my sims to have 10 cats or 8 dogs or 8 babies

I think we should be able to customize household limit because you can customise the Sims in world limit but not household

yes and ive had a mod to have more sims in a household but it bugged and deleted some so now I don't wanna do that again but I still want to be able to have more than 8!

@@coolpumpkins453 i've never been able to stick with one save for more than two generations but i've heard that once you get to a certain point older sims will start getting deleted from the tree
@@glassphoenix9095 since they get removed from the tree, you can probably make a messed up thing : making the sims you're playing revive the ancestor and get married to them/have kids with them- oh my god the mess it would create in that tree-
I actually played in this house for awhile!!! I didn’t have 13 sims in my house, but I did have 5 sims, a husband/wife and 3 kids and I wanted them each to have their own room plus I had room for a teen hangout room/office. It worked really well for what I needed it for I just had to do some re decorating!

putting the science table outside is so smart!!! 'cause, let's say since this is base game, someone who only has it won't have the issues with weather and stuff. so it won't be a problem
if they do, the kids have plenty other things to do inside, anyway-
It’s also smart for fires. I had to stop putting the science table on the second floor next to porch roofs, and on the first floor next to stairs that include walls because the fire would go somewhere inaccessible and then I would be stuck until it went out on its own. I’ve had so many science table fires

@@Myne1001 oh, yeah! specially if there's a rug under it, much like fireplaces. it's one of the few deaths that can happen to children in ts4 too

I had the terrain paint glitch when building a mansion two days ago. Sometimes, when I switched terrain paint colour, it would do what happened in this video. It was specifically when changing colours and it was very frustrating so I hope they fix it soon.

Ideas I'd love to see come to life for the Sims in upcoming releases...a toddler water table! Like in daycares or in school with the shapes and water wheels. Its just another activity table that would help build their skills.
-Elementary schools with smart desks, wobble seats for hyper children.
-Fidget toys .
-Push lawn mowers since sims can shovel snow.

I once made a family in the sims have twelve children. I had the family buy two houses and pretended the family owned them both and alternated between spending the night in one or the other and even though I could technically only have up to eight sims in either, I kept expanding both to accomodate all 14 sims. The four oldest were teens when I got bored

I knew there was a video of this house when I downloaded it! this is the house I'm using for my super sim challenge. currently I have deleted the stairs and am only using the first floor but once I get to the family aspirations I will REALLY get some use out of the second floor!

Since we're talking about glitches. The other day my sim (Alexia) invited her cousin (Christian) over. Everything was fine, they were interacting, but then I clicked on Christian to select interactions, nothing popped up. AND THEN there were tiny plumbobs and shiny particles around Christian, and a sound effect. HE DISAPPEARED??? And was no longer in my friends list??????? But he was still in the family tree. PANICK. I closed the game without saving, Christian is back now 😂😂😂😂😂
lmao i accidentally divorced two of my sims, kinda packied only for them to become best friends break up, becomes best friends then woohoo partners breakup best friends woohoo partners dating breakup then all that get engaged and breakup and then everything b4 once again and finally remarried all in the span of 30 mins i was so confused that day. Specifically bc the divorce occurred over bad woohoo. The six kids they had were even more confused bc i didnt actually split the household during that time.

I miss Sims 3 (I think) where you could change individual swatches with different colours, textures, etc. for everything from furniture to clothing. That was great
I actually really like the blue and yellow bedroom. I'd have this kind of color scheme irl. On the 'too many babies' front, I had 'have a baby' enabled for one of my households by accidents. By the time I noticed, she had two set of twins. Both sets still babies. And the house has exactly 3 rooms. I'm waiting for the new expansion to renovate and play with that nightmare, but safe to say I'll get plenty of opportunity to explore the new infant gameplay in that household.🤣
I think this huge house with a bunch of toys would also be fun to visit with the triplets! And maybe they can become friends with their cousins (second cousins? Third cousins? You get it)
I really like the yellow bedroom. The stark contrast feels more real, since you can't always match your preferred sheets with your wallpaper. It feels like the kids/teens used to like brighter colours when they were younger, but then got into darker, cooler colours as they got older.
If you’re looking to make a realistic garage in the Sims 4 then you can size up dog doors and it looks really good! 😅

Silly/dumb build challenge idea for Content: build a house with a segmented floor plan as though for a color challenge, but instead of colors, you randomize what type of room it is. Was that supposed to be a bathroom? Too bad! It's now a kitchen! Recommendation: list the intended room designations for randomizing and remove what you've already spun, so that you end up with three dining rooms and no bedrooms.

This happened to me, and without MCCC! Also with a legacy uncle, he was family oriented and had six kids, I moved the adults out, and then he and his husband had 3 more 😂 he lived SO LONG

Okay so bear with me but I have a funny challenge idea. So since being pregnant adds more days onto your sims lifespan and they stay younger for longer, what if you kept having kids until eventually one of your kids ends up being older than you???!? So the challenge is to play until you have a child that is older than you

I had the same issue when i was redecorating a pre-made house that used this feature
i often add in girlfriends/boyfriends as roomates when my household is max so you can have more than 8 without eny mods and the house i built is very flexible, it has many bonus rooms that suport diferent hobbies and can easily be turned in to a bedroom and it also has an attic where i keep the christmas tree and an empty basement with only the stairs leading to it so i can always add in more rooms
ive been consuming some architecural digest, and they have a series in which they get three architects to design the same space. From that i got two ideas:
-first replicate the concept with other builders, with a set space (example kitchen with the shape of the room ready)
-second, could be to take one of the builds of AD, and make houses to go with them

I love Simsie but I really wish she would do more than all this Base Game Only stuff, like I would LOVE to see more stuff used from the different packs as maybe I'd find some inspiration to improve my own builds
I love doing runs where my sim gets married and they have 15+ children, and then I'm left using my brain to either make massive renovations to the starter house, or all-out build a huge 2-story or 3-story house from scratch. Those architecture classes I took in HS were actually useful after all 😂😂😂😂.
This room unfurnished is really good for normal gameplay. Couple with their parents, maybe 3 kid who have all their own bedrooms and maybe fourth kid or some activity room or study room

One thing I find useful when building houses (you may already do this idk) I have a journal type thing, kinda like a diary but I write everything about the sims in the household in it. (Traits, gender, age, etc.) I find it useful when decorating bedrooms and houses.
I downloaded this a few days ago, I wanted each of my sims kids to have their own rooms it’s perfect!
I don't understand why the yellow and blue room was disliked. It looks really good to me. This will be a good house to have. It would also be a good rental house for vacations since it's set up for all different types of Sims.
Putting the desk under the bunk bed is just absolutely genius and I never thought of it, so thank you!

I recreated my irl house's floor plan and added our family and even with a maid, a nanny, and a hired gardener, I can't keep up with the Sims. It made me laugh when I forgot to babyproof and the baby crawled four blocks without anyone noticing. It's pure chaos with 8 people in a four bedroom. I don't know how I'd manage with 13 or more Sims in one location.
