There are a lot of college, amateur, and pro versions of Rent on RUclips and this is heads and shoulders above all of them. This entire cast is incredible. If I close my eyes and listen to Collins, Mark, and Angel in particular it's 1996 and I'm listening to the OBC.
I gotta leave a comment as a theatre sound/lighting/video technician myself, the production value of this is absolutely insane. And to modify the show to fit in the space is genius imo. The sound mixing and lighting cues are better than most theatre shows these days. Seriously underrated youtube videos from this company.

We were going to see this in 2020 at Hope theatre- was cancelled then rescheduled-then cancelled again lol. Fortunately we got to see it in 2021. It was the best production of Rent I've ever seen and I've seem it 6 times altogether- my fav musical x
Def watch one of the musical versions. I think there is a recorded one of the 2008 Broadway cast... Roger is such a stong character, the movy did him dirty by cutting a lot of his big moments.

The actor hanging unlit in the back to represent April during I Should Tell You was a really nice addition
the casting. the ensemble. the moments captured digitally as well as the authenticity is astounding. bravo

I only saw the movie version of Rent, ,but the character of Roger felt so flat to me. This Roger and Mimi have such good chemistry.
