BigDWiz I notice you're using the stinger 6000 series rca's how do you like them? I am looking to buy the stinger 8000 series rca's the white ones. I'm looking for rca's that make a nice tight connection that won't slip off. For my spl cartel bass knob.

I love how you show the current draw. I will end up getting one of these beast and keep them in 4 ohms for the current efficiency. Run one to a pair of 8's in my audi wagon and not have to worry about power drain. Thanks for the father day video!

Ahh, I see what you're saying. Yeah, I've only seen a few guys with these machines. Seen other guys clamp and use a distortion meter to determine power output.

You're saving the ORION 3K for last because it's less expensive, rated lower, more efficient, And it will run half ohm ALL DAY LONG. It will easily destroy all of the other amps. Also, I called ORION Corporate, discussed this video series, and they are all subscribed to watch their amp outperform the competition. I know I have to keep saying this, but I'll say it again, and it absolutely is a HUGE difference. ORION rates their amps at 12.6, not 14.4v, and still ORION exceeds their numbers at 12.6v. Everyone will see how amazing ORION is, was, and always will be!
Ant Gio The numbers I have clamped with my 3ksplx are shocking. I'm not gonna give too much away but one number that comes to mind is 93😎😎😎

James Cunningham I already know for a fact the ORION produces way more power more efficiently. Their brand will get a nice bump from this series, and everyone is going to realize they've been doing this for 40 years. The 225HCCA started it all really. Their amp in this series is literally half the cost of the Sundown, and it will produce 30-40% more. You can buy an ORION HCCA 5K for less than the Sundown, and it will produce twice the numbers the Sundown does on its best day.

I’ve been waiting for this ‘competition’ to begin since Big D’s teaser vid and clicked on the notification immediately, lol. I originally said my $ was on the DC Audio however, I didn’t realize these two shared the same boards. Hard to choose a winner here as both performed well on the bench. I have no dog in this hunt as I run a couple JL Slash amps but if I had the choice, I’d still take that DC Audio as they are beautiful amps. That being said, the clear winner here is Bid D for the always great content! Looking forward to the rest of this groups vids! 👍

BigDWiz I would certainly agree and there may be a bit of cringe secretly on both sides after watching this video but maybe, just maybe as a result of your vid DC will upgrade their RCA’s!
I'd bet on the skar it'll make similar power & costs the least. Different board but baically same internals just laid out different. Most other 3.5k korean amps use same board as these & very similar parts. It comes diwn to brand preference.

That infinty sub is probably still better than 95% of the woofers out there today. Those things created the xmax race 20 years ago. I still have my perfect 10 from back in the day......and still my favorite sub

I always loved the infinity perfect series. I got to hear a really nice sound quality build with all perfect series speakers, and it was impressive to say the least
Those kappa Qs deliver great sound and fantastic efficiency. Still one of my favorite sq subs for running in builds with stock electric.
i miss my kappa perfect vq's the JBL mk II subs are just bigger version of them they are nice

I have the Crescendo 3500. I have it on two American bass elite 12s wired to 1 ohm and I've got to say I am extremely happy. This thing is an absolute monster.

Only amps I’ll run are the DCs. I love the 3.5ks in my Jeep. RCA upgrades would be nice, otherwise I’ve gotten nearly the same numbers out of them in real world application. Mine are wired at .35 ohms to beat out box rise.
Nice efficiency with these amps but they are pricey. A couple less expensive amps coming and the real expensive Sundown too 😏

I'm glad I recently stumbled across your channel. I love it! I was into bass and sound systems back in my lowrider days and these videos bring back memories. So much so I installed a jl 13.5 single sub (that i took in trade for some auto repair work) in my Challenger. Along with an old school Autotek mean machine I had in storage I plan on upgrading soon. But I forgot how it felt to FEEL bass. I think I'm hooked again! lol Keep up the awesome work!!

Nice video, just got 2 DC lvl 4 12s wired to .5 and the DC 3.5k, had it scoped and comes to 2500 at 1 ohm clean, what would that calculate at the subs bridged to .5?

Just found your channel and subbed. Awesome content. That amp dyno is amazing. Please do a dyno on the old school Harman Kardon CA260 amps. I used to have a rack of 5 of these and remember them sounding pretty good back in the 80s. Keep up the great videos!

Hey Big D! Love the videos. Would you be willing to do an inside look and dyno run on the Power Acoustik Gothic GT1-4500D. It is rated at 2700 Watts RMS @ 1 Ohm by the manufacturer. I am currently using this amp to power two Skar Audio EVL 12-D4's and I've gotta say it's very impressive. I don't think its truly pushing 2700 Watts though. If you could put it on the dyno and see what it can actually do that would be awesome. If not I understand you're busy and I'll continue to watch your videos. Thanks BigD!

Can you please do the DC audio 5k. These other amp dyno clowns on you tube dont test it on anything other then 1 ohm which is useless when your ohms rise during function.

I must say that I'm impressed. The efficiency is what's really drawing me in. The importance of that efficiency in so many ways just can't be said enough. I just can't believe what they're doing these days. Yes we all love mosfet A/B and classic solid state heft but it's very impressive where they are going with digital power.

BigDWiz What does that mean exactly? And let’s say there is a difference then how do they get those numbers like rms and peak with a dyno if it gonna perform diffrently with subs? Idk maybe I’m over thinking this Thank You Sir!
@@wal so why warranty the bass clef at half ohm if it's labeled half ohm stable and will it actually handle that half ohm load on subs. Does stronger electrical play a big part in handling that half ohm load?

I put the calculations in each efficiency result. Multiply current pull x voltage, then take measured watts / that number

I've been (ab)using the bc3500 for over a year with no problems. I have had a few problems with the c1100.4 though. Shuts on and off randomly for a few seconds at higher volumes. At least the bass is constant 🔊🔊

BIG D is that a 10"infinity KAPPA. I had 2 10s sealed and a 4thorder 12 on a Phenix gold 600 at any ohm and WOW one of the best systems for that time daily banger ANYWAY.

I am shopping for amps in this area compared to getting x4 Rockford 750bdx1 mini amps for x4 2-ohm Sundown X-8's ... I cannot decide. I was thinking of going with the Sundown 6K and get 4 more x-8's later. ... Just started but preparing to cry....hope the Nendo lives up- never seen a good dyno vid for them. EDIT(after watching)- Interesting to me that considering they are BASICALLY the same amp- why the DC did better. I know it was close- but 100+ watts... I have had a BC 3500 and 5500. loved them. but for some reaason they don't dyno well. After seeing this tho- Nendo is def the better deal. Ran my 5500 at .5 for months- never an issue. Box rise is brutal. but nice to know the protection circuit works well.
With 2 different amps, the results could be opposite. Results are less than 5% different (component tolerances), so they are essentially equal.
I'm sad we didn't get half ohm results :( I was sure at least the DC would hold up because I have a DC 3.5k and I ran my PSi Platform 5 18 on it at half an ohm for around four months and it never went into protect once, or even got warm. I guess like you mentioned with the small differences in the outputs, not all amps are created equal?
Speaker loads at 0.5 are not the same as they the load fluctuates based on box/frequency/temp/etc. Resistive loads on the Dyno stay at 0.5
Wow, surprised that both amps went into protect! In the product description on crescendos website it says stable down to a half ohm on all of their bass clef amps
Half ohm resistive (Dyno) is like 0.25 on speakers
so anything below half ohm load would kill the bass clef amp?

these amps like many are made by same company built to the specification of these two companies, hence the same look, same parts and same power. It used to be PPI made amps for many different companies. Crescendo looks like the winner to me just for the RCA's.
Crescendo is less expensive and yes, better inputs. They both have massive markup on these, so that’s good for their profit margins 🤔
New to your channel. Great content. Based upon your reviews and experience, what amp and sub combo would you recommend for the best SQ under $1k. I have Yukon Denali XL
get a used jl audio w6v2 or w6v3 and pair it to their slash 500/1. its not alot of power which is good because you wouldnt need to add an extra battery and upgrade to a high output alternator. a used 12 inch w6v2/v3 goes for $200.00- $300 and a used slash amp goes for $175- $220. if you dont want to buy used or you want more output than 500w then get the skar vxf subs or american bass xr subs. as for the amp id prefer the jp23 because of the extra features, skar rp2000 is also good but these amps are not as clean as the jl imo because jl has a thd of .05%, the jp23 is 1% and the skar rp2000 doesnt even list theirs

I'd def pay the extra few bucks for the Crescendo to get the Tiffany RCAs and fan. Honestly I was suprised they shut down at half ohm good to know for folks that are in the market for these
both both those amps will run at .5 ohms it's different when you test them on a dyno if you plan on speakers it's easier on the amp

BigDWiz, the revised model of the Orion 2500.1 the "Dz" puts out about 200 watts more than the one you dynoed.
