Looks interesting! It's fun to see some of the random thoughts of "hey, you know hat would make for an interesting survival mechanics?" you get then playing games actually put to the test:D Love the aesthetics as well- system requirements are a bit too much for my current PC to handle, but I'll definitely keep an eye on the development:)
Good! Things snap into place and you pre-build en masse not wall by wall, so you can kind of sketch out what you want your building to look like without committing resources. Zoe
I never thought I’d like them but since valheim came out it’s become my favorite genre. Do you like building stuff? It feels daunting at first but once you get the hang of it, survival games can feel very rewarding
the realm and magic system is interesting and i like it a lot but, I'm personally not a fan of the aesthetic. Something about taking on ghouls and fey horrors with a big axe in a muggy bone ridden swamp... wearing a suit and top hat carrying around a parasol, it just kind of rubs me the wrong way. If their was more variety in what could be worn for protection I may give it a chance.
It does look like it might be a flat bland generic survival game, dressed up in fancy clothes and architecture. I hope I am wrong, because it looks stunning. It does give you a vibe of Bio Shock, which might lead people, me included, into expecting a bit too much.
How much variety is there though? In a game like this I'm hoping for there to be a lot of variety in assets, such as monster models, clothing, building styles and materials, scenery and whatnot. It will be rather anticlimatic as a fascinating world if its the same 6 monster models you run into over and over, and only thing to add variety is just changing their size and/or coloring. Hoping it will have significant variety else I feel it will quickly become stale.
My biggest concern is the always online aspect. This turns the game into an online service and you are at immediate risk of throwing away your money should the game sell poorly and the developer/publisher can't afford to keep the servers running.
In the stresstest it was widely stated by me and dozens of other posts and replies, the combat was floaty. The guns seemed to lag behind when firing and melee attacks that should strike just didnt. I gun butted a mob like 5 times doing 0 damage. This isnt net lag either. Its some sort of input/processing lag that is devastating to play.
I was so excited until I realized probably 80% of the game will be building a shack and chopping wood instead of hunting monsters in a Bloodborne aesthetic
Been excited for this game for years, love the gaslamp fantasy setting. So happy its EA is right around the corner.
Same! Zoe
I was already excited, seeing this preview has put me over the moon! Thanks Zoe! This will be my game when I can't log into Helldivers!
Looks like the player character design was going for something like Dishonored. But all the faces just look like Sid the sloth to me.
Oh my god that's all I can see now 💀 Zoe
And let's all admit it...
Sid the Sloth is a beautiful creature.
Zoe did mention an Arcane-style to the character designs
I actually adore the style😅
Loved your vid! That dress is stunning, and I can't wait to discover it for myself when the game releases!
As one who doesn't like survival games. This one seems to peak my intrest and I will be buying it for sure

How is the building mechanic?

Do we know if there's going to be a 3rd person play mode? If I'm wearing a fancy dress, I want to see my fancy dress.
There is, you can even toggle between with the F5 key 👍
@@eurechel ah, I'm on ps5 lol guess I'll have to wait for a while
I like the game's aesthetic, but I'm so inexperienced with survival games, so I still don't know if I'll have fun playing it or not.

7:33, the fearsome Teleporting Piglet!

Is there only one boss?
Between this, Enshrouded and Palworld, it seems like this is going to be a good year for survival crafting games!
Thanks for the preview!
Don't forget about the Sons of the Forest hitting the 1.0!

Is this a fashion or game review?

Memory games lol I post comments just to remember my name.
The graphics/visuals look like they're a decade old to me.

Irregardless isnt a word.
I used it ergo it is. Zoe
Irregardless is a word. As in, “language will continue to evolve irregardless of your attempt to literally lock it away in a tower, obvs.”
All of the nose options look horrible.
Taking hours making a character.... Game is in first person view. Is this the new trend in gaming?
Third person view is available in Nightingale but it's in early stages as far as I know. Zoe
Theres third person, but I think its still in development. I you press F5 I think you can see it.
This game is horrible and the combat is even worse
