Just shows you how hard it is to play. Even the most elite and professional players in the world can make silly mistakes in this game. As an amateur that’s played in many snooker halls, it is one of the most hardest games to play. I have no problem with pool or darts, it’s snooker that always bamboozles me. Incredibly difficult.
That Stuart Bingham - Judd Trump match was hard to watch. Almost unbelievable seeing how well Stuart had played up until then. If it weren't for that bad semi-final, he really should have won that tournament. All credit though to Judd for getting better every game, that was some unbelievable snooker in the final, he and Mark would both have deserved the trophy.
Anyone else enjoy how the Barry Hawkins in-off count didn't include the one at 1:38 (because it was from a different match), but this 'rectified' itself at 4:09 (because this wasn't technically an in-off)?
Can somebody tell me why in winters we have this miscue problem more often. Is it about the weather?? Because i used the same chalk in summer but it didn't miscue back then but now it is misbehaving alot
Um dos motivos prováveis. A gente sabe que as massas tem volume, espessuras variáveis de acordo com as temperaturas. Até a cabeça de couro também fica mais dura, o que permite maior deslize na bola.
It was reportedly quite hot down at the table due to all the studio lights and the table being heated, so definitely not a temperature problem. I imagine that cold chalk is more solid than warm chalk though so you may get more miscues when it's cold.
I know people can make mistake. But It's still hard to believe this just happens 0:203:34 and other clips off Barry I've seen their amazing control of the cue ball so they 100% know they are risking the cue ball
So what happens if the cue ball ( white ) goes in , a fowl , but also the intended red ball is still potted ? The other player gets 4 ,but does the person playing still score from the red ? ls the red ball put back on the table ?
1:28 can someone tell me what these new rules are? Only casual watcher of snooker and don’t play because I’m a American so not sure what the rule change was
Those mis cueing are because of the new chalk I know this because the new chalk is way more lighter of colour and its softer which means less contact with cue ball its just bad chalk in general bad frictions due less thick chalk
In a weird way, seeing world class players make these amateur looking mistakes almost makes it even more impressive when these guys are firing on all cylinders; because it shows just how incredibly tough the game is and how easy they usually make it look.
@@SnookerPlanet didn’t know about the change break but even then the chances of getting a perfect replacement tip are remote, such is their attention to fine detail. Perhaps I’m naïve but I’d have thought carrying a spare cue or two would, while not perfect, be preferable than the comparatively hit or miss affair of whacking a new tip on in 15 minutes. If you find any perceived stupidity from me annoying I apologise but it doesn’t seem a massive stretch that they might be able to get a manufacturer to produce something very similar to what they are used to as a spare.
when trump missed, and stephen said, " he missed by miles", i was like, bruh didn't he touch the jaws and shit? If i had hit that shot, it wouldn't have gone near it. These snooker players are machines
It's amazing what pressure can do, even the greatest players in the world can miss easy shots. Doesn't matter if you're a seven time world champion like Ronnie or a really low ranked player, they all miss easy shots.
Point is not about Miss, It’s about labelling kick as a “Bad Shot” which in my opinion is unfair. It can come under Unlucky moments. Nevertheless nice work looking forward for more videos.
@@David-ud9ju You can read scientific reasons of kick and its beyond control of a player. Many players using new chalk also get kicks. It depends on table, cloth and cue ball imperfections
The last shot by trump is missed bad but eventually he won the frame but why is mark standing directly in the line of sight. This must be a no no at professional level for sure. Even club players understood this. Mark should have just sat down
I'm surprised your opponent is allowed to stand in your field of view over the target pocket like that. It was meant to distract and it looked like it did.
@@stonehengemaca Players always stand up during safety shot exchanges because they know they'l be coming back in after 20 seconds. Williams thought this was guaranteed and was ready to conceed the frame. If Trump didn't like it, he would have asked Williams to move.
Williams went to his seat after his shot and was about to sit down. But Trump came to shoot so fast that Williams just freezed, because if he had sat down, the movement would have interrupted Trump. He chose to stay where he was - near his seat
@@SnookerPlanet Actually, my question should have been: Why was that even a possible foul? he hit the black, nothing else; the cue ball stayed on the table.
@@SnookerPlanet yes we all have reasons like not aiming correctly but everyone understands it's just a miss. No need to analyse or say lack of concentration or looking somewhere else or there was a bit of noise somewhere or he was thinking about the next match or the last one or what he's having for dinner etc. Maybe it was just a poor shot.

Great stuff adding the analysis from the studio, really adds a lot to the video

the difference between you and them is they have profesional commenting on their game.
Yeah, it's a nice video to watch after a(nother) particularly bad day at the club :D

Every time they miss I hear David Mitchell's voice in my head:
"Ooh, and that's a bad miss"
Barry Hawkins: Imma do it again!

Poor Barry looked like amateur hour out there.
And they say they've stamped out match fixing...
We all have those days...

Various worried about their tips there. Do they still only carry 1 cue? Seems a bit daft if they do when it’s entirely possible it could get damaged.
They're given 15 min break for a tip change if it breaks. The second cue would be useless because it would play totally different

It was unusual. But I think Williams though it is over, the green was right in the pocket, he couldn't possible think Trump may miss it

It's only a foul when the cue ball lands on the second (furthest) half of the ball

In snooker if the cue ball jumps and lands on top of the second half of the object ball, it's considered as a foul
