Usually I do less than 50 view the first 24 hours - the required time for RUclips to check if it needs to get the content into his recommendation algorithm. But this one blew up so much I couldn't delete and reupload a fixed version without taking the risk of losing the hype. Happens !
When the first galactic war broke out, the Illuminate weren't prepared. They were still formidable foes. Now, they have had a century to really lean into war tech.

Tbf on them, Super Earth started war on them only because they found out the Illuminate had super weapons like the Dark Fluid, but they had no intention to use it.
We didnt crush the planet in a black hole we sent it to the illuminate and opened a rift in space
knowing the leaks they most likely were like "wtf is this shit" and just... wiped the bugs off it.

Pretty sure its a black hole, it has the accretion disk and such. And if it was a portal, then things could come through it, but theres no light escaping from it, which further proves its a black hole.
I mean, it might be unsettling to consider the galaxy could be destroyed, but really, with Super Earth and Managed Democracy, is the galaxy even worth keeping around?

Made me think how did we banish the Illuminate in the 1st place? We couldn't have just pushed them off the galactic map and call it a day cuz we'd have borders to keep track of their movements. So would it be unlikely we used the Dark fluid with the intent on killing them under the guise of banishment? Cuz if so, ignoring the super colony we gave them, they are probably gonna be thrilled now that their "door" is open again.
In the video linked into the RUclips card (the one about Dark fluid) I speak about the Closed Timelike Curve theory a bit. If the Illuminates came back from this "black hole" it will be a nice video subject.

in the first helldivers, while we're eradicating Illuminates from our galaxy, during the last battle they sent a signal, something like SOS, calling for help from their comrades (that's from what I heard and read from people who played HD1, so keep that in mind) but why would they do that when, theoreticaly (dunno if i wrote this correctly, i'm not native so pardon me) we're fighting the last ones of them? it kinda doesn't make any sense
so was with the last time during HD2 when we pushed back Automatons, we thought that we 'did this' and we can fully focus on Terminids front, and then suprise! they just came back stronger than before, we pushed back just a scout fleet
i think with Illuminates it's the same goddamn thing - it was just a scout fleet, not even comparable to what they could have now, and on top of that - they had WHOLE BLOODY CENTURY to prepare to war with us

They are I think one of their nicknames are squids
They call themselves the squ'ith, sometimes nicknamed squids. They were originally an aquatic species but through evolution and technology advancement over hundreds of thousands of years they've become an ftl civilization. Their social hierarchy is centered around acquisition of knowledge. Some of their most elite soldiers, the "Illusionists' achieved their ranks through their extensive knowledge.

Still hoping that Helldivers 2's ending is the total defeat of Super Earth; it would be such a bold and unique choice for ending a game of this magnitude to do something totally different and unexpected. I'd respect the hell out of them is they did.
I personally would like to see a revolutionary movement, that ends in a super earth victory. In media we always see the revolution/rebellion from the revolters' pov, but I'd like to see it from the quellers' instead.

The scary thing is, we were making absolutely 0 progress on the liberation meter, but then I check in the very next day only to find we're making an emergency jump
We went from 0 to 100 in a single day, with only 1 day left on the major order too, I have no idea where those extra reinforcements came from but they sure came in clutch
The Super Colony had a 10% HP regen per hour. Everytime an operation was successful, this regen rate dropped a bit. That's why everything went so fast in the end : Meridia wasn't able to heal back !

It's so cool yet unnerving, like some otherworldly force is coming. Especially the music, I just can't explain how epic it is and how Helldivers is like a movie. Like some conspiracy we just figured out and maybe even something relating to Cthulhu or something!
I think a theory is when the illuminate were pushed out of the galaxy they ended up becoming more zealotry and ended up enslaved by eldritch gods. Maybe during the process they’re in a separate dimension unable to return but this black hole is a portal that will allow them to return, could be tragic that they’re just trying to escape enslavement or they’re fully possessed and are being used to conquer our galaxy
Veterans of the first war look to this anomaly with suspicion and recognition of what is to come while the new blood ponder what they are gazing at in the void

Helldivers, if the Illuminate are to make a return, I expect you all to be wearing your armor from the Cutting edge warbond.
This isn’t a black hole, a black hole has the weird light surrounding and in front of it disk. This is more likely a wormhole. A wormhole bends space time and cuts a 2d hole in the flat fabric of the universe, what’s a circle in 3d? A sphere. You could see the stars on the other side of the wormhole normally ( if we ever encountered one )but since the illuminate were banished, they might be like the reapers from mass effect, stuck in deep-space where it is so incredibly dark that you cannot even see your own body without a light. This is a worm hole that forced the terminid super colony into from the inside out, leaving most likely a destructive and desecrated planet in its wake, with trillions of bodies of dead terminids. This is easily indirectly a threat to the illuminate and their salvation from being stranded in the darkest part of the universe, they will then come through the worm hole and invade with an indescribable force. Terrifying.
Once I saw the "should make HD1 veterans shiver" I just knew, the squids are back.

Pretty sure that's just the ship making the sound seeing as wed probably be getting slightly pulled into it..
There is sound from the ship (you can hear it at the start of the video) but there is also something else. 00:18 sounds are clearly music notes slowed down, despite my Music Settings being set to 0.
When the music is sped up further it's actually "Hero" by Nickelback.
I would be interested to see if someone could pull the sound file from the black hole and run it through a spectrogram, just to see if the devs were hiding some

I’m still not sure if AH is ready to add the Illuminate as of yet as the last set of leaks I saw they’re still in development. Maybe another blue laser fiasco might happen again. With them slowing down on patched and making sure to test it might be a little longer until we get them.
Was thinking something similar but the last leaks I heard about were from like the first month so im hoping it's soon but tbh I'm expecting us to take back cyberstan before anything illuminate related happens I could be wrong tho kind of hope I am would love to fight something new😂

The npc next to the robotics workshop says that it was so easy to capture dark fluid from the illuminate in the first war that its almost like they wanted us to have it

Yeah, Illuminate is coming back. Playing HD1, I've faced their strongest, which is terrifying compared to the bugs and borgs because of the sheer mental power they commanded. The entire Meridia mission I was "We need to exterminatus this place now." but the Dark Fluid, an crushing it into a black hole, made me wary. Now...
"We made a terrible mistake."
I have noticed one thing ftl in the black holes in front of you, load in and its behind like you jumped through it. Then the ship faces it when you walk on your deck. Also its pull is interesting, i know things were millions of miles away but shouldnt that still be pulling planets towards itself, yeah its pulling spores and stuff. But it feels we can be closer than a safe distance.
We also delivered if its a wormhole, an ultradense core of ship furl plus a sectors worth of spores. If i was a betting man, two things will happen, the illuminate attack down south, at the same time they release from the hole a modified varient of the bug spores creating new bugs, causing our distraction.
Its also likely, considering cyborys had more advanced units than the bots, and they have had free reign of cyberstan, its more likely that the bots will be upgraded.
(If the bots were aided by the illuminate i dont know, as they came from out of sector and they were in comms with an unknown group outside the rim we have)
But yeah.... this hole while really cool... is gonna be an issue

We don't know what exactly opened. It could be "only" a black hole. It could also be a Worm Hole. But this Worm Hole could lead to another part of the universe. Or to another universe. OR even to the past or the future. And you can mix several of these claims.
Honestly I hope they don’t just plop in the illuminates and say they “surprise attacked”.
I hope they start on one planet and quickly spread to multiple sectors over the span of 2 or 3 days.
That would be so much cooler way of introducing them.

There is the sound of the SES being pulled, but there is also other sounds that appear when the recording is accelerated. The whole ambiant sound design without the music is pretty interesting. Listen to 00:18 (original recording sound) : it really is a music note slowed down.
